The title of this video is shameful. 'Affair' is inappropriate because of the dynamics of age and the fact that the foster father is in a position of carer to someone who is young and vulnerable. I'm going to report it

The child pleading for her mother’s life, breaks my heart. I can’t fathom that level of pain.
He knew his own three year old would be in the same bed when her mother would be murdered. The poor baby had to get up and run to the closet.

She was 18 at the time of the murder, so yes, affair. It is said in the video about grooming and others, while 16, when she was minor.
There’s many horrific ways to die, but dying by the hands of someone so close to you is pretty horrific.

It’s disgusting that there’s no a better system for protect kids. Given that this is such a common reoccurring issue amongst foster children. If a system is broken and nobody does anything to repair it, then don’t be mistaken is was built that way by design. It’s continued to be protected by the exact people who abuse it.

I remember this case. Sabrina was more of a live-in babysitter, she never thought of Kevin Knoefel as a foster dad. They are both horrible people.

I find it alarming just how many people are willing to give Sabrina a pass just because she was a victim of something as well. People, she stabbed someone... nearly 200 times! Think about that. Let that number sink in, would you? I've had a horrible childhood, absolutely dreadful. I'd gladly pit my childhood against Sabrina's, I think mine would run laps around Sabrina's childhood for pain inflicted upon the child.
Yet, by the time I had reached Sabrina's age at which she killed her victim I already knew better than to... stab someone 200 times! She is exceedingly dangerous, regardless of what was done to her. For society's safety alone, she should've received life without parole. Because the fact she could bring herself to killing her victim over reasons so poor and in a manner so gruesome, well... no one would ever be safe near her. Would you trust your children with her? Really, ask yourself that before expressing sympathy for that monster.

This was a broken girl who was manipulated and heavily influenced by a trusted male in her life. I have a 13 year old, she is at such a vulnerable, impressionable time in her life.

You argue with someone else. We don’t have time for you. Groomed or not-there is a huge difference between the two and it Does matter.
He took a broken child who needed love and protection and convinced her he was the only one in the world who could/would provide her with the feeling of safety and acceptance. And he molded her into what he wanted. That had a huge impact on her decisions going forward.
I am not saying she shouldn’t get consequences for her crime, but I am saying being groomed or not greatly affects situations. So don’t brush it off like it doesn’t matter.

The foster system in the US routinely fails children. I know there are loving people who truly care, but they seem to be the exception. At what point are stricter regulations enforced? This was obviously a very vulnerable, impressionable girl whose life had already been turned upside down.
