thank you for this, i was super confused on how other youtubers seemed to be able to switch from a lead sound to clean without lifting a finger. Huge help, thanks again.
i believe spiritbox mentioned something abt that, it uses midi right? I think they explained it in the bio of their playthrough of cellar door @@ChaboyAnthony
@@ChaboyAnthony another thing, if its okay to ask, how did you eliminate/lower latency in reaper? I'm using the 2i2 3rd gen, which I'll just assume you also use
I’ve got a subzero bass vi by gear for music as I seen there used a lot for metal type loathe stuff but also just a great bass guitar too. Highly recommend
@@ChaboyAnthony I got one and it was fantastic needed a little bit of a set up. I switched the pickups to Fishman Fluence but I wouldn’t have been super pressed to keep it in stock.
hey i recently did a cover show where we played this album in full. your covers were super helpful! i find that the bottom 6 strings from the ernie ball skinny top heavy bottom 8 string set were absolute PERFECT for this tuning on a 30in bari.
What I liked: it sounded cool sometimes i guess what I didn't like: scale length, lack of string options, how finnicky it can be, setting it up, how tough it is to get low action, sometimes it would just sound like crap. lots of time playing it just felt so forced. It's just not an instrument i personally want to play/gravitate towards. Much prefer regular ole guitars.
If you want to get into one cheaply that is still pretty damn good quality, look into the G4M 638. It's a rebrand of what used to be the SubZero Bass IV, Loathe themselves used one in the past before getting into the slightly more expensive stuff. I own one and it really surprised me in regard to the quality you get for the money. Pickups aren't even bad, which I was expecting to be terrible.
question, what did you do to get the vocals tracks and or all the other like atmospheric sounds that loathes uses in their songs? Did u just find a backing track or?

You can also automate individual FX instead of muting channels. I'll cover that more in some of the next videos I do like this

@@IMNOTZILL Yeah I use the same interface. You just lower your buffer size. I typically run it at 128 and it's fine for me.
The "nero" preset is inspired by Yvette's Young tone in their song Nero. I have that preset too I found online.
I had mentioned that originally, but edited out as I didn't think it was important to the video. But I love Covet, Yvette and the band are great
One of my favorite channels thanks for what you do my guy
Damn now I want a guitar only playthrough of the album
I'm sure I can export my old video with guitar only if that's something people want
@@ChaboyAnthonythat would be sick to see bass and guitar isolated 🤙🏼 good shit man!
I just uploaded it!

the automation thing is gonna be super helpful thanks for noting that
goated vid im gonna play my bass 6 today
Awesome video. Now I just need to find a baritone for a reasonable price :)
Harley Benton guitar bass or their JM baritone

I have heard plenty of bad stuff about the subzero. I think you get what you pay for

@@ChaboyAnthony I’ve heard the same but even they are pretty much inexistent here in Brazil. I’ll keep looking though, thanks for the advice!

Glad i could help. I'd figure the 8 string set wouldnt be long enough for a bass VI.
Yo thats fire
This is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Is there any way we can see a more in-depth view of the EQ?
It's just a -4db cut to 3400hz!
Great video. Where did you find the Nero preset?
I wanna say the Neural DSP forums, but it's hard to remember. It's been a few years

I just play along to the actual songs, no backing tracks etc
