Hi, I also had the same problem. Usually I could start windows with the 2nd or 3rd time. However, I decided to reinstall windows, wiping all data and now my Yoga 2 Pro boots with no problem. I think it is also a viable option and you clean your laptop at the same time. Took me about 2 to 3 hours.

One thing that I learned today that may help you. I opened the back of my lenovo ideapad and noticed that most of my screws were missing I had previously handed it into be "fixed" and they removed my screws. Just push everything back into place the hdd etc and your pc will work. Now I have to buy new screws.
Open the back and push everything together to make it firmer.
Hope this helps someone in the future

Mystery not anymore now, the BIOS was in a setting that could not cause the system to recognized the hard disk. If the boot mode is set to legacy and the the EFI is disabled, the your system won't simply recognizes your disk with UEFI partitions

The problem displayed in the video above seem to have solved itself. I didn't do anything related to this error but somehow I havn't had the problem in a few months now.
Maybe the solotion came in a windows 10 update, or maybe something else. If it returns I've gotten a few tips that I will try, and a second tutorial will come up if they turn out helpful.
    Cheers!

No I don't know why it suddenly stopped, in these 5 months since I posted this updating comment above, I still haven't had the problem again. It's very strange indeed. I'm into electrical engineering and not computer science so I wouldn't even know where to start looking for the root cause. But if it suddenly starts again I will report more on it.

There is a hole on the front side of the compute. It is a restart button. Shut your computer off. Press a paper clip into the hole to press the button, a light will appear ... The computer shoot boot up with BOOT, or various Restart Options, etc. Choose Factory Reset which will Reset the Computer to Factory Condition and get you out of Safe Boot Mode lockup. I tried the others and they did not work; only Factory Reset did.

Just take out the ssd in the laptop. Then, just buy msata to sata storage in amazon, lazada or other places. Lastly just convert the sata into external hard disk ( buy the external case). Put the usb external case and windows will automatically running in your laptop. Hope it works.

when you get in Windows make a copy of manufactor backup partition to another hard drive, then erase all entire hard drive computer and verify for errors. If errors disc appear replace the hard drive and install the manufactor backup to restore your Windows.

Ok well Done been Doing the Legacy thing for a while and now it has stopped. I've tried every method, and the only thing that work this time round was to removed the HDD cable from the MB and clean it , Re-seat and Powered up Reset to defaults Boom Back on. again. Possible issue with Cable or connection. Will Attempt to get new cable and see if that helps at all. But Thanks For the Video Very helpful. ! Cheers!

Restart or advanced so now what pressed adv.. and you get 5 options continue, use a sub drive, use another or, troubleshoot, and turn off. I've pressed troubleshoot and then you get the balls spinning stuck there. But one thing that helped me was small button by start button that gets it back to the begining again. If you know an answer I'll try it and thanks for video

Do you happen to know where that button is on a Lenovo Yoga 710? There are two tiny holes near the power button and earbud hole, but they are pen sized hole(not buttons)and whatever is the emblem or mark near them is so small, I can't tell what it is for. Could one of them be the BIOS?

    ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th gen.
The windows does not boot, it asks for the bitlocker recovery key. Just blue screen
I gave up on rescueing the data, just want to reset the original factory state. But I'm asked for the recovery key for that as well.
The device has not been registered with my MS account. I created local accounts during the install, did not use my online MS account. I did not set up OneDrive, either.
What is the way of reverting back to the factory state?
    Thanks!

What was the real fix? This is bizarre... I assumed it was some sort of intermittent hardware issue present from the factory for my customer, I suggested she excersize her warranty options. I didn't even perform exactly your steps when "resolving" her problem... Just went into the BIOS and messed with boot settings that seemed irrelevant, saved and exited, it would work, but then the problem returned.... Is it possibly a bad BIOS version?

I dont fully understand you. But, if you could run a VM before, and then made a BIOS reset then you need to reenable virtualization technology in BIOS again.

The weak link in the discussion here is "this little button." The whole operation pivots on whatever this is that I can't see. Lights. Camera. Action....(lights lights lights)

I know and I regret the settings ;)
Back in the days when I recorded this it was in the moment of heat when I first figured it out for myself. I just grabbed my phone and started.
The problem is real for a lot of Lenovo laptops, the button is specific for my model though, the yoga pro 2. The whole operation might seem to pivot around the small key I have but it really just is a way to access BIOS. Your laptop will have another way if it's a different model or even brand.
Usually it is one of these actions that will get you into BIOS menu: press F1 or F2 or F10 or delete or esc or ctrl+alt+esc or ctrl+alt+del. Etc. :)
Best of luck to you and if you have further issues feel free to reach out and I'll try to help you over Skype or Hangouts. :)
