MK2 Golf 312mm brake upgrade using tt callipers

This is a short video on fitting Audi tt 312mm calipers on a mk2 golf.
You will need the correct hubs (16v or g60/mk3 4x100)
You will need tt calipers and pads. or i can supply 2nd hand ones
The rest will come as a kit.

What discs are these? I’ve tried the mtec 4x100 312mm and the 5x112 and neither fit as well as these.

I've heard of people using mini brake discs but they are 315mm and need to be machined to 312

how much is the fitting kit ? i got set of calipers discs and pads just the adapter and bolts ?

why do some use spacers for the calipers while others shave 5mm off the knuckle?

I want to know this too! Can I also just do a 5x100 hub conversion from MAPCO en bolt on these calipers with OEM 312mm brakes from the TT?

@@RickBruinsma 5x100 conversion is basically using MK3 VR6 hubs. Nothing else changes in the mod

@@AvoKupelian Alright! So I only need the adapter (6mm) and 5x100 hubs in order to get it running with my 312mm brakes I had laying around for another project? Or am I missing something? I really appreciate that you're replying to me! :) I already have the Mk3 4x100 knuckles, running 1.9 TDI brakes on a Mk2 now.

the knuckle is just changing to 5x100 lug pattern, you the mod as if you haven't done anything

Hi guys, these are not vag group discs, they stick out too far with tt 312mm discs, so I used a different disc and spacer, giving more clearance for wheels

Pingman huge difference, 32mm bigger disc, bigger pads, bigger pistons it’s been great, on track it was great!

@@Boostmotorsport cool, I went from the early 16v 239mm to newly rebuilt G60 280mm with yellowstuff pads, Dot 5.1 fluid and a new master cylinder and could not believe the difference, amazed by them on track! Can't say I've ever wanted/needed more brake and I absolutely stomp on them with Federal 595RSR tyres too lol

Any way of getting around custom brake disks , can you order 4x100 disks that are 4x100

if are build by spec, custom made discs wouldn't require spacers. these are mini, opel or clio 4x100 discs, r56 jcw more likely.
