If its not showing up for you directly under global settings icon. What you have to do is scroll down threw the global setting's and find "openGL rendering gpu" and there you can switch to your preffered gpu hope this helps
Yo I bought a Levono legion 5 recently, and I went into task manager and I saw that the integrated graphics were being used and the GTX 1650 TI wasn't even being used so this caught me in trees like why wasn't any activity happening on that graphics card, I saw this video and oh my God I thought I made the worst purchase because I was running it on the integrated radon graphics because it has a ryzen 5, and I switched it over to the 1650 TI, you don't believe how much of a breath of relief I had on the performance went up way higher, I honestly thought I was so much money but it's worth it, thanks your video helped me a lot :D

@@GMODISM If it's more than 10W I think it's too much. I'm trying not only to save energy, but to keep the pc cool for quietness. Running hwmonitor can help to monitor each component's consumption. I also need to know what's overall better berween 2 hdmi cables from both igpu/dgpu or 1 out from the igpu. Last but not least, it's possible to run an amd igpu + amd card together (Radeon Dual Graphics) to increase performance on a single display, there's also that (but I do not know if there is the nvidia+intel graphics equivalent)

Should not damage system since this setting makes it run as intended, otherwise the gpu isn't used at all necessarily. Should remove performance issues if you had such before.

There is no preferred graphics processor button, and my integrated graphics aren’t showing up in display adapters - only my two gpus (idk if this is important but I thought I’d mention it)
this is no longer relevant in the newest versions of win 10. Now it says windows os now manages the selection of the graphics processor and just ignores what you had selected. Ive been trying to find a way to set the card as default in the new version but the best i can find is to set specific programs not everything.

There is no preferred graphics processor button, and my integrated graphics aren’t showing up in display adapters - only my two gpus (idk if this is important but I thought I’d mention it)
this is no longer relevant in the newest versions of win 10. Now it says windows os now manages the selection of the graphics processor and just ignores what you had selected. Ive been trying to find a way to set the card as default in the new version but the best i can find is to set specific programs not everything.

I am facing some issue with my pc,
there is flickering on my pc screen due to intel graphics, when I disable it flickering gets stopped but on the other hand FPS drops dramatically
Any solution how can I disable intel graphics without effecting the FPS??

i can't even access the control panel i have updated all my drivers intel and nvidia and when i had access to the control panel i didn't have 3d settings. only had developer settings
im having the same problem! it tells me that control panel is not compatible with the current nvidia driver
when i disabled my integrated from the device manager this happened to me as well. When i renabled it all settings for nvidia came back
So dose my laptop NEVER ever use intel graphics again? Is that not a wast of money? Or is this just for games
