I think the MCU can definitely make a come back, but not just with one movie. It has to consistently put out good movies to earn back the audiences trust.

Maybe it’ll make a comeback, but nothing on the scale like before I think. I don’t think one single movie can do that either, it’ll take a string of great movies with no losses in between. No Way Home and Guardians 3 would’ve done this otherwise. Consistency, which is what the Infinity Saga had however some of us may feel about the movies individually. Regardless, I do look forward to this movie, but it will probably be the last thing I check out from the franchise personally…

You might think I’m crazy but I personally feel Marvel should push the next two Avengers movies all the way to 2029 & 2030. For one it would give Marvel enough time to work on the scripts and be the best that it can be. It took years of build up and hype for IW & Endgame to reach that level of success (2 billion dollars or close to 3 billion), if they want to see that same level of success with Kang Dynasty & Secret Wars releasing those movies in just half that time is unrealistic. Also, Marvel is not in a good state right now they constant bangers in order to win people's trust back and that will give them a lot of time to build hype and give audiences a lot of time to connect with these new characters.

@@andrewryan2400-z3d not at all what you’re saying is exactly what I’ve said previously that Kang Dyanasty or whatever it’s called now and Secret Wars, if they want to be good movies, should not be out within the next 2 years and instead be given another 6-7.

Absolutely, The Main Problem Of Marvel Lately Is That They Are Called After " The Multiverse Saga " But They've Barely Focused In That At All, Instead We Are Getting Unnecessary Stuff Like Eternals, ECHO, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion And Etc. Etc. The Thing That Made The Infinity Saga Great IMO Is That It Focused On The Infinity Stones And Setted It Up In Every Movie, And That Worked Cause The Saga Is Named After That, But Sadly The Multiverse Saga Is Not Like That, Instead Of Focusing On One Thing, They Are All Over The Place With So Many Different Characters For No Reason At All That Make The Stories More Confusing And All Over The Place

The problem with the MCU right now is that the best installments feel like standalone films that have no sign of being followed up on any time soon. Shang-Chi, Wakanda Forever, Guardians 3, heck, even No Way Home were all good films, but they haven't taken us anywhere since. Then you have the stuff that gave a compelling setup for future projects, but then the follow-up projects squandered the potential that was laid out. Examples would be how Multiverse of Madness squandered WandaVision or how Quantummania squandered Loki Season 1. Combine that with the lack of any central characters to latch onto (a big problem considering that story is only as strong as the characters driving the story), and it's hard to be invested because there frankly isn't a compelling reason to keep watching. I firmly believe the MCU died in 2022 as a franchise, and now the best it has to offer is the occasional quality standalone picture. In order to fix this, Marvel needs to go back to the drawing board, and pick some key players for the audience to latch onto and then keep those characters in the public eye for awhile. That's why the Infinity Saga worked. They got us invested in Tony, Steve, and Thor in Phase 1, and then after that, they kept releasing films with at least one of those characters in it each year. Want to introduce the Guardians of the Galaxy? Release a Captain America movie the same year so we don't feel like we're losing focus (and also give them a connection to the villain that was teased in the first Avengers movie). Want to introduce Doctor Strange? Release his movie the same year as a movie with most of the Avengers roster in it. Want to introduce some new heroes like Wanda, Black Panther, and Spiderman? Introduce them in one of your big Avengers movies and then make spinoff movies. This is how they made sure everything felt connected. Character drove the stories, and each character was given some kind of connection to pre-existing characters or was promised to crossover with pre-existing characters in the near future (and we could point to exactly when those crossovers would occur based on post credit scenes and the release schedule). Right now, we're just throwing characters at the wall to see what sticks without giving them a reason to stick. That's the problem, and that's why the best projects feel like standalone films that happen to be set in this universe.

Time is absolutely dwindling, but it is possible. Marvel needs to focus it’s trajectory to a single point, and connect every project to that point in some regard. Tying everything together is the key to a successful franchise, and they’ve done it in the past, so they just have to bring back that cohesion..

Problem with the MCU they will not take a break for 5 years, they will always be making 2-3 movies / year plus disney+ shows. So there is no way to really miss as there is always new installments coming out that are required viewing.

    *The* *Big* *Lebowski* *(1998)*
When I first saw this movie back in the mid 00s on DVD, I didn’t get the humor at all. I was used to comedies from the Farrelly Bros. and Kevin Smith. I remember wanting to return the DVD back to Best Buy for a refund. Didn’t get it at all.
Then every night because my Panasonic DVD player had a sleep mode, for some reason, I would play it before I fell asleep. After 10x replaying it, it got better and better. After 50x, it’s become one of my top 10 favorite movies of all-time. It’s one of the most quotable movies ever.
    “What’s a pederast?”
    “Shut the f*ck up, Donny.”
“Look, just stay away from my f***ing lady friend.”
“Hey, I'm not messing with your special lady.”
“She's not my special lady, she's my f***ing lady friend. I'm just helping her conceive.”
“What the f*** are you talking about? The chinaman is not the issue here, dude. I'm talking about drawing a line in the sand, dude. Across this line, you DO NOT... Also, dude, chinaman is not the preferred nomenclature. Asian-American, please.”
“I had a rough night and I hate the f*ckin' Eagles, man!”
The Larry scene. You see what happens when you f*ck a stranger in the ass? The Gutterballs dream sequence musical scene. The scene when Dude sketches and sees a figure with a huge penis. Jesus cleaning his bowling ball. The Dude having a Ralphs card as proof of ID. Dude getting kicked out of a taxi cab in the next scene. John Goodman’s funniest role ever as Walter buying a coffee can to keep his friend, Donny, inside. Walter always talking about ‘Nam. The Dude being so un-Dude.
Two great songs in it called “Ataypura” and “Just Dropped In”. The former is heard when you see a naked girl getting thrown up with a giant towel right when Dude sees Jackie Treehorn. It was sung by Peruvian singer, Yma Sumac back in the 1950s. The other is from the famous Gutterballs scene after Dude’s white Russian gets drugged that knocks him out sung by Kenny Rogers and The First Edition. Those two scenes with those songs playing has this weird stoner dream vibe to them. The Santana song after Dude’s car gets wrecked was perfectly dropped for that scene.
The Big Lebowski is a f*cking classic that can never ever be remade. You can watch it for the 100th time, and it’s still hilarious every time because the quote is so flawless to that specific scene. The delivery is flawless by the actors.
“You thought that Bunny had been kidnapped and you were f*cking glad, man. You could use it as an excuse to make some money disappear. All you needed was a sap to pin it on. You'd just met me, you... *you* *human* *paraquat!* You thought, oh, here's a loser, you know, a deadbeat, someone the square community won't give a shit about...”
    “Well? Aren't you?”
    “Well, yeah, but...”

The question is: Will it be as big as “Infinity War”, “Endgame”, or “Spider-Man: No Way Home”? No, it won’t…I disagree with you when you say that “D&W” won’t lift the overall MCU. It will. Have most general audiences pretty much given up on this franchise? Yes. But projects like No Way Home, Guardians 3 and hopefully Deadpool prove that if they take their time, hire people who genuinely love the franchise and characters and try to focus on projects they actually WANT to make rather than "content" for disney, we can hopefully see this franchise return to what we fell in love with in the first place

@@rayanvij3457 Honestly I’d want them to drop or redo everything after Far From Home excluding No Way Home and Guardians 3. They could probably get away with fixing the MCU in other ways for people but I don’t know if they can for me. For context, I liked to rewatch the MCU in its entirety every so often. Up until Infinity War it was an enjoyable watch for me all the way through. Not every movie was the best but I still got enjoyment from them. I think they should have waited on Captain Marvel until Phase 4, but I won’t get into that. To keep it on the shorter side, if I were to do a MCU rewatch right now I would watch Iron Man - Far From Home, and then No Way Home, Love and Thunder, and Guardians 3 (because it provides a little closure for those character’s arcs for me…but maybe leave out love and thunder). MCU is so messy in Phases 4 & 5 that I would almost rather they just ignore both phases and start again.
For a lot more detail continue below:
For the shows, I stopped watching after Moon Knight:
      - WandaVision - This is the best show imo but the last 1~2 episodes ruined it for me. I think Wanda should have been the villain and they could have made Agatha seem like the villain but in the end she is trying to stop Wanda. This show also leads into Dr Strange 2 poorly as it seems Wanda calmed a little and then is okay with murdering innocents the next time we see her. I know supposedly Dark Hold, but they didn’t do a good job of showing it’s influence.
      - Falcon and the Winter Soldier - The best character in this show was US Agent (can’t remember his name). Sam and Bucky were portrayed poorly and seemed like they were only hating on him because it wasn’t Steve. The worst thing he did was kill a terrorist. He shouldn’t have killed him in that way, maybe, but Captain America (as well as the rest of the Avengers I’m sure) has killed many people and there were no complaints. Bucky also seemed really weak in that show compared to previous movies. Also really bothered me that Sam didn’t get super serum but is somehow going to be the new Captain America.
      - Loki season 1 - They made Loki so weak. I also don’t buy him being on the good side so quickly at that point in his life. He should have been physically stronger than a lot of the people he fought in that show and I was waiting for him to go back to his scheming self. All I remember is everyone outsmarting him and him just following people around.
      - Hawkeye - I didn’t like Echo and the did a bad job with Kingpin. He should have been smarter and more ruthless. Netflix did Fisk better.
      - Moon Knight - Was cool at first and just kinda faded out. Don’t remember all the details which is kinda bad.
      - I didn’t watch She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, or Echo but from what I have read/seen there is nothing there for me. I’m pretty disappointed in secret invasion especially. Seems like they killed Nick Fury’s character over time and the event itself should have been way bigger. Not to mention that it’s a bad idea to give one character everyone else’s powers.
      Movies:
      - Black Widow - First 2/3 of the movie was okay for the most part and then last 1/3 was pretty bad. Could do without this movie
      - Doctor Strange MOM - Wanda was presented horribly. Could have been really cool as the villain but did not make sense to me after the Wandavision ending. Dr. Strange seemed to be helpless against her and was presented to be way more powerful in previous movies. Was lame to see him just running most of the time and didn’t feel like he did much.
      - Thor Love and Thunder - I actually liked some of the story ideas here and liked some Jane in this movie. Should have been way more serious and was overall executed terribly. Should have gotten someone else to direct this.
      - Wakanda Forever - I hate that they decided to kill off T’Challa. If they really wanted to do this storyline and give Chadwick an in-universe memorial this should have taken place during the blip. As it is now he dies, comes back, and immediately dies again. It also wasn’t believable to me that everyone was okay with Shuri getting the black panther juice and leading everyone. M’Baku seemed to be a better choice after the first movie. The underwater city was lame and I wanted to see Namor go up against T’Challa. I honestly forget this movie exits most days.
      - Antman & The Wasp Quantumania - What even was this? One of the worst movies imo because it felt like a bunch of nothing and had none of the character of the first two movies. And what are they even going to do with Kang now? Depending on what happens with Kang it seems almost better to drop anything he is involved in.
      - Shang-Chi - It was alright. I enjoyed it for the most part but I just kind of forget about it. Idk why they tried to make Katie a warrior and maybe even an Avenger? That’s pretty ridiculous. The ending made the Avengers seem like a club anyone could join. I know they aren’t confirmed Avengers but it was presented weirdly to me.
      - Eternals - I think I enjoyed this movie more than most people but it’s not great. Seems so detached from the rest of the MCU especially after zero acknowledgment of a giant dude popping out of the ocean going forward.
      - The Marvels - Didn’t watch.
I haven’t thought about any of these in a while. At this point I’m not looking forward to the MCU but Deadpool could be cool. I don’t really have faith in any other announced projects at this time.

@@Duckywallpaper NOTE: In case you’re wondering I read your entire reply.
You said that you’d want them to drop or redo everything after Far From Home excluding No Way Home and Guardians 3. And that they could probably get away with fixing the MCU in other ways for other people but you're not sure if they can for you. To that I ask one question: what if every MCU project (movies and tv) going forwards was enjoyable like the infinity saga would that fix the MCU for you? You have an enjoyable 3 phases in the infinity saga, A hit or miss phase 4, a phase 5 whose start is hit or miss but whose end is enjoyable, and a phase 6 which is entirely enjoyable. Also Marvel/Disney would lose too much money if they ignored phases 4 & 5 and had to redo them.
For my responses to your further detail continue below:
For the shows I have seen every single one of them fully except for Ms Marvel (only watched the first 2 episodes), Loki S2 (only watched the first episode), and Echo (I started an mcu watch through so I didn’t watch echo when it came out)
      - WandaVision - I agree that they could have tied it into Dr strange 2 better. It is my second favourite show. My favourite being Loki S1.
      - Loki season 1 - is probably my favourite show.
      - Falcon and the Winter Soldier & Hawkeye - need to watch again
      - Moon Knight - I liked it but could’ve been better. My favourite episode was 4 or 5 the one where Mark and Steven are in the land of the dead and go through memory lane. I would say most people's top 2 episodes of the show are 1 & 4 or 5 the memory lane one. I would say that those two episodes are the ones that really dive into who Moon Knight is and the dynamic of Mark and Steven.
      Movies:
      - Black Widow - Agree with what you said. Nat and Yelena had some fun moments with each other, but the third act could have used some work.
      - Doctor Strange MOM - At the end of WandaVision they redeem Wanda, but what they should have done is have her fall further into the darkness then redeem her by the end of Dr Strange MOM.
      - Thor Love and Thunder - Agree with what you said. Movie needed to be more serious.
      - Wakanda Forever - Overall I would say that I enjoyed it. T’Challa died 3 times in the eyes of his family. The father died in Civil War, the family thought that T’Challa died in the first Black Panther, then he bliped, then he actually dies in the beginning of Black Panther 2.
      - Antman & The Wasp Quantumania - Wasn’t terrible. What they could have done is have Kang send MODOK from the quantum realm to the normal realm (don’t no what to call it) to take out Scott and the Pyms.
      - Shang-Chi - Overall I enjoyed it. It’s one of my favourite movies from phases 4 & 5.
      - Eternals - Not one of my favourite movies. As for the giant hand if the rumors are true it will be dealt with in the Thunderbolts*.
      - The Marvels - haven’t seen yet. I'm in the middle of my MCU watch through, so I will eventually get to it.

@@rayanvij3457 Thanks for reading my lengthy post.
To answer your question, It would be hard for them to fix the MCU as a whole for me. I could like movies in the future but I don't see any reason why I would want to revisit any of the current shows or a couple of the movies (specifically Wakanda Forever). Loki is probably the best show, but I don't like what they did with Loki as a character. I understand it is incredibly unrealistic for them to drop projects or redo them. For me to consider it fixed they would have to at least disregard/ignore the TV shows so I wouldn't have to include them in a rewatch. But I don't see that happening. It's just too messy now and they have portrayed a lot of characters in weird ways in phases 4 & 5 imo.
I agree with most of your thoughts on the shows and movies, but none of them really hit with me. I didn't feel satisfied with any of the shows by the end.
Moon Knight - I really liked this show and the Mark and Steve dynamic like you. But it fell off in the end for me. I think they shouldn't have made his wife a hero this season, especially not with that amount of episodes. It took valuable time and spotlight away from Moon Knight.
Wakanda Forever - Haha I completely forgot about the fake-out death. I feel like his family could half-expect him to show up alive at any moment. This is the movie I would just like to forget happened. To me it is so dumb that they through T'Challa as a character away and I didn't really like the movie at all.
I'm curious to see what they do going forward but I really don't see how they could fix the current MCU in my eyes.

I think Deadpool and Wolverine will be a one-off anomaly and Disney/MCU will not learn from it. The sad thing is, they don't even need "stars of the MCU," they just need to tell good stories and make good movies. Unfortunately this means they would have to replace a huge amount of their current writers who are more interested in hating the fans, hating the source material, political/social issues and cramming their real world political/social ideologies down everyone's throat through MCU movies instead of making a good movie.
Keeping these activist writers is what's killing Disney, the MCU, Star Wars, etc. They need to get rid of them and hire writers who are capable of writing stories of similar quality to Iron Man 1, Thor 1, Winter Soldier, the Daredevil TV series, etc, and who are also capable of leaving their real world politics and social issues and what they think everyone should think about those things out of the damn movies.

Batman was gone for years until batman begins and even then he wasnt truly back until the dark knight. The planet of the apes movies were dead for like 30 years but after a masterful trilogy i cant wait for the new one to come out. There is other cases but the mcu has been bad for a few years now. If they string 2 or 3 good movies together in a row with a specific plan people will come back to the movies because marvel did the big blockbuster as well if not better than anyo e for over a decade.

The MCU has been fading for me. I have become extremely bored and I'm tired of having to keep up with everything. I do not think Echo is important. I do not think a side character from a miniseries will become important, so I felt no urge to watch; I put it on the back burner. If she does become important, then I will watch. But until then......
I'm surprised the MCU hasn't been able to get back on track. I thought Shang Chi, No Way Home, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 were all great movies. Also Sean's face in front of Thor's butt is officially the greatest thing I have ever seen on this channel ;)

Nah, we just don’t care for the bad comic genre content. X97, GOTG vol.3 prove we will come if you make the good stuff.

I watch movies because it could be a good movie. Guardians 3 and Spider-Man NWH were just good movies. Sure they don’t build up to something quite like they used to, but whatever. Think of these as like extra good fluff after the finale to a great series.

well in my opinion, it will never go back to the hype and release of what was next, I think it'll stay the way it is with some wins and some losses. for example deadpool 3 looks like a win but ironheart, agatha look like a big L

Idk if I’d even call it a comeback since guardians 3 was a cirie so dnd commercial success but that film was more of a blip on the radar and around the blip was a ton of disappointing box office films.

Deadpool and wolverine will make a lot of money. Disney will get the wrong message and make everything edgy, just like rhey made everything comedic for no reason in the past.

It's the MCU they don't need to make a comeback. They only had to release less in the last few years. That would have been better. Marvel will forever be Ontop because no other films has made as Much in Billions as the MCU ever has.
