The reason they didn’t show the entire trailer during the game is because 30 seconds of ad time is equal to around 7 million dollars. 30 seconds, a minute tops, is all you tend to get from anyone during the Super Bowl.
@@uncle_ben_rices_nephew that was exactly what I was thinking. If they put it on the Super Bowl, they wouldn’t be able to show the R-rated raunchiness or violence that they can online.
That means that 30s of edited footage is equivalent to 1/10th of the budget for the movie. That actually feels a bit surprising, given how cheap the Deadpool films tend to be.
@@omegaminoseer4539 The Deadpool movies have all made well above their budgets, and the second had a bigger budget than the first. I'm guessing that's how they justify spending so much on a Superbowl spot. The marketing, which has always been centered around Deadpool's personality, has always been key. Getting that personality in front of a lot of people who don't keep up with movie news is an investment that's expected to pay off.

So giving a character who was little more than a bit part 20 years ago means they shouldn’t reboot? That makes zero sense. It’s like saying you shouldn’t reboot the MCU because you want to see Bruce Campbell as Mysterio.
I refuse to try to guess plots from trailers after Dr Strange. I had the whole plot mapped out from the trailers, i was completely wrong and i like my headcanon way more than the actual movie lmao
Nando landed in the same place I did on this trailer. It's good enough that one is confident the movie is going to be solid, good, top six MCU movies. The trailer got me mildly more interested than I was.
My concern with the MCU is that the studio leans into crossovers & cameos (and other gimmicks that seem "cool") so much that character arcs & story telling suffer. For me, The Marvels fell short of its potential because the story of Carol Danvers & the Kree was so abridged. It felt like a decision was made that Brie Larsen by herself on screen or driving a storyline was a liability. So, Iman Vellani's charisma became the safe way to keep things moving. But if the conflict is driven by Dar-Benn's animosity toward "The Annihilator" and Carol Danvers hating the Kree... it's going to be a challenge to center Kamala Khan in the story and not create a sort of muddled feeling.
The forest they’re in looks just like where they had the opening fight in avengers 2. Also since Loki is running the TVA I’d assume there’s different stuff in the void now
Yeah, I'm honestly one of those people who's not "super psyched" after watching that trailer. I was getting a bit more excited heading into it, but after watching it, just felt a little let down, like something was missing (and not just proper Wolverine presence, though that probably would've been enough). I'm also mixed on what we've seen of the story, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I haven't been *as* negative on the MCU projects we've had the last couple years (obviously GotG3 was great while Secret Invasion was very bad), with most being varying levels of "fine" (Eternals may be my most disliked but it was okay, I suppose, whereas Love & Thunder has a lot of good just heavily dragged down by the rest, Quantumania was decent for what it was though that was a weird choice for the characters) and I really liked The Marvels, seriously one of my favourite MCU films in a while - lots of fun and some good heart and themes (I have some issues, including the flerken egg storyline, but this is far from the bottom of the MCU by any measure). I also haven't had as high hopes for Deadpool 3, partly because I have a mixed feeling about Deadpool as a character and about those previous 2 movies. Ryan Reynolds feels like a perfect casting choice (from the moment he showed up as Wade in XMO:W), but the stories have been underwhelming, and outside of some jokes and action scenes, the films are a bit underwhelming - I particularly found Deadpool 2 disappointing, not bad just...not that great, especially not as good as I'd hoped or expected. All that said, I'm interested in the film, I hope it's fantastic, glad it's happening.
I know he's done other stuff, but in my brain Brian Posehn will always be Sour Cream from Steven Universe. So the idea that Sour Cream wrote an X-Men comic is literally cursed knowledge.
The forest isn't just a trend, it's the same one from the final scene of Logan! The big six-wheeled truck that you can see flipped in the background is the one that got flipped and dropped on X-24 in the final fight. DP's probably hiding behind the same log Logan died on at 11:32. Deadpool is at the site of Logan's grave, probably visiting it or stopping someone from messing with it.
Patch Wolverine looks like Daniel Radcliffe from behind - it’ll be a one off fan service moment similar to John Krasinski playing Reed Richards for a hot sec
I think the plot may be Disney throwing Fox properties into the void which include Vanessa and his friends, and in saving his friends he's also gonna bring a bunch back into play in the movies.
The idea that Cassandra thinks this reality isn’t real and is just something she created going along with the nature of Deadpool also being a “cosmic awareness” kinda character would be great. Like they both kinda know or assume it’s not a true reality but from different standpoints
Honestly, when I saw that out of everyone they brought back for that opening sequence, they included shatterstar I was confused because why would Wade go back for him? But Also I remember he's connected to the MOJO world, so it immediately made me think your pitch was gonna be spot on and I'm still not totally convinced it's not.
I havn't seen anyone point this out, but I am pretty sure that the snowy forest in the trailer is the same forrest as in Logan. The fallen tree and the fliped truck are the exact same. Only there is a lot more snow here.
Honestly, while the D&W trailer looks fun, but the trailer could be 2 minutes of Deadpool farting on a snare drum, and the fanboys would be all “wooooooo yeah screw conventions Deadpool is back baby!” Marvel fans who love Deadpool and hate everything else…those fans are the worst.
Interesting idea of having all the potential cameo characters show up in their Ultimate Universe costumes because part of the basis for the MCU is the Ultimate Universe, or at least was, so it would be cool to harken back to that again with the characters in this movie. If you were looking for a video idea about what to do for this movie I have a couple. 1.) a video on what Variants of Deadpool and Wolverine you think we'll get in this movie and if they are played by other actors that aren't Ryan or Hugh who would be good for those roles (a couple ideas I had are Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool, Walker Scobell as Kidpool, etc.) and 2.) Which characters from former Fox Marvel properties do you think will be in the movie and will we see the older or younger version of them or will we see them entirely recast and who should be the recastings (like maybe Kiera Knightley as Cable just to play off that end credits joke from Deadpool 1 or Taylor Swift as Dazzler to play off rumors from as far back as Apocalypse/Dark Phoenix).
I'm in a weird spot where I hate Deadpool and I have not lost my love for the MCU, I've enjoyed most of phase 4 and 5 outside of What If (especially season 2), Eternals, FATWS' finale, Secret Invasion's second half and kinda Thor 4. So seeing everyone going "Deadpool is gonna save the MCU" I'm just kinda sitting here going, "eh." Hopefully I enjoy the movie but idk
"Give them some time." They should have given themselves some time! 😅 I'm just glad Deadpool is being integrated into the MCU organically with the TVA while remaining true to its previous movies. High hopes!
I'm thinking they'll tweak Cassandra Nova's origin to make her a variant of Xavier instead. That way they avoid the whole strangling in the womb thing, plus the concept of variants is already pretty well established thanks to Loki/No Way Home.
This movie will be the REAL Multiverse of Madness! 🤣 Expect a random video essay about how Deadpool & Wolverine “saved” the MCU, and of course, people will bemoan the cameos and guest-appearances and call it, “Shameless Fan Service”, but most people will forget how Deadpool 2 was almost filled to the brim with meta jokes 🙄
The U.S. sees about 800 tornadoes annually. Most of em are little blips, but there’s an average of just over 70 deaths per year. Not sure that'll make the movie any better, but we have tons of tornados!
I hope the MCU survives. Deadpool Will be a fun movie, audiences are just harder to please and there are a lot of ppl that just want to see it fail that haven’t even seen a film.
Living in Iowa and Ohio, the tornado thing made me laugh. On an average summer night you could randomly have 5 tornadoes come through and then just go to work the next day
Im just so excited that we are finally getting a third Deadpool and it looks like Disney is allowing Ryan Reynolds and everyone else have the freedom to continue the vibe the first 2 had. Like im glad they allowed Deadpool to acknowledge that Marvel and Disney has struggled since Endgame and poke fun and that he is going to fix it all and set it straight. And they are keeping the R-Rated violence and also allowing him to drop the F bomb in the trailer etc I was relieved to see it Although with how passionate Ryan Reynolds is about Deadpool I'd bet he wouldn't have caved and been apart of the Disney Deadpool storyline if they went a pg-13 route and handcuffed them in their ability to break the 4th wall and have fun with Disney and Marvel Also Im just so glad we are finally getting some X-men action and acknowledgment Disney bought Fox in 2017 and it wasn't fully closed until 2019 and i knew it was going to take awhile before X-men were introduced but didn't think it would take this long. I mean it's already been 5 years since Endgame and sure there have been some decent releases since Endgame but it's been nowhere near the quality of what led up to Endgame and Endgame itself. X-Men will get me back to really caring about the MCU and honestly comic book movies in general. Outside of like The Batman and the Spiderverse movies nothing has really grabbed me and made me think it was great. We are due for great comic book media and i know it will be another long wait until disney does a stand alone X-men movie but atleast we are going to finally see some
The trailer was perfect. Didnt give anything away except basic things. As much as i love trailer breakdowns, i hate the fewling that people need to know everything about a movie before it comes out
I do like the Deadpool movies, and honestly if it's good and gives Marvel a nice shot in the arm, then cool. Like I said, this transitional rebuild period is taking longer than I thought it would.
Prediction: - Deadpool has everything he wants. Yay. He finally gets his good ending. But it's not supposed to happen, so in walk the TVA. - TVA say they got a problem. Reality is coming apart. There are too many branched universes. Not even Loki can hold onto it all (and he's busy holding it at least a little bit together). - Solution? Big pruning time. Enter the fun part of the film; killing everything. Romp across universes, killing things like the Eternals storyline, recruiting Wolverine, obliterating unloved Marvel shows, and (very importantly) Deadpool killing Wolverine: Origins' Deadpool. - Problem: This eventually involves killing his own timeline, which Deadpool won't do because he loves Vanessa. - Solution: "Wait, we can escape to where I'm sending all these clowns - the Void!" - Problem: The Void isn't safe either. No where is safe. TVA is still after them - Solution: There's also Cassandra in the Void. Cassandra first tries to recruit Deadpool because all them here are "unwanted". - Problem: She wants to feed everything to Eliath. If all of reality is destroyed, then there's no alternate universes. Not sure where it exactly goes from here, but I bet it involves a lot of these unwanted people fighting against the TVA, and the universes splitting off to never interact again.
Mmmmm, yeah it was just the back of a bald head in the trailer. That does not mean its guaranteed to be xaviers twin sister. Hell, I think its more likely its The Ancient One making a cameo
So far every X-man we've seen in live action cameos has been in their costumes from the animated TV show... Makes you wonder how heavily that's going to tie in now.

I’m just happy that we are getting TVA stuff again & love how we might be in the Void again, which I love that place
FYI - In Deadpool 2, Shatterstar says he's from Mojo World then goes on to die. Then he's at the birthday party in the trailer so...
The trailer was giving beginning and end. I cannot wait to see what happens in between.
I think the plot may be Disney throwing Fox properties into the void which include Vanessa and his friends, and in saving his friends he's also gonna bring a bunch back into play in the movies.
The joke I want in Deadpool 3 is, him saying to Wolverine, “ look at that guy he’s going to take your picture and he’s gonna leak it”
The idea that Cassandra thinks this reality isn’t real and is just something she created going along with the nature of Deadpool also being a “cosmic awareness” kinda character would be great.
I suspect they'll simplify Cassandra Nova by just making her an Xavier variant.
She could be a variant, but a variant where she absorbed him instead of him absorbing her.
The snow forest is from age of Ultron opening scene. They are gonna stick dead pool in that moment
No. It's not gonna save the MCU. We all saw the Xmen 97 trailer. More of the same is coming down the pipeline. This is No Way Home all over again.
5:54 Except in X-Men Dark Phoenix, and X2 and X1, and X-Men Apocalypse... Y’know now that I think about it, when are they not in team outfits?
It’s the highest watched trailer in history, so releasing the way they did was perfect.
From what i saw it really reminded me of that video Nando made about what the plot could be
Honestly, while the D&W trailer looks fun, but the trailer could be 2 minutes of Deadpool farting on a snare drum, and the fanboys would be all “wooooooo yeah screw conventions Deadpool is back baby!”
Marvel fans who love Deadpool and hate everything else…those fans are the worst.
11:25 New Rockstars pointed out that it might be the forest from Logan bcos the overturned truck in the background looks the same
Do we have more than 4 tornadoes a year? *Cries in Plains State*
Interesting idea of having all the potential cameo characters show up in their Ultimate Universe costumes because part of the basis for the MCU is the Ultimate Universe, or at least was, so it would be cool to harken back to that again with the characters in this movie.
Mojo, Spiral and Longshot would be great in a Deadpool movie
9:13 “Not that professor x has telekinesis”
He does now. He learned it in Krakoa.
That's a lot of tornadoes!
Crazy to think the fantastic four and Spider-Man 4 would’ve came out 2024. It would’ve been perfect
I'm just glad Deadpool is being integrated into the MCU organically with the TVA while remaining true to its previous movies. High hopes!
i think they did the "full trailer online" thing because the actual trailer had f bombs and deadpool slicing people's heads off lol
I'm thinking they'll tweak Cassandra Nova's origin to make her a variant of Xavier instead. That way they avoid the whole strangling in the womb thing, plus the concept of variants is already pretty well established thanks to Loki/No Way Home.
i'll watch this after i see the movie instead of before
This movie will be the REAL Multiverse of Madness!
Deadpool
Will be a fun movie, audiences are just harder to please and there are a lot of ppl that just want to see it fail that haven’t even seen a film.
Living in Iowa and Ohio, the tornado thing made me laugh. On an average summer night you could randomly have 5 tornadoes come through and then just go to work the next day
Marvel wouldn’t show the whole trailer during the Super Bowl. That would cost them half the budget of the movie
The void is infinitely long. I can imagine out if limitless space some parts look better if people worked on it.
And they are keeping the R-Rated violence and also allowing him to drop the F bomb in the trailer etc I was relieved to see it
Although with how passionate Ryan Reynolds is about Deadpool I'd bet he wouldn't have caved and been apart of the Disney Deadpool storyline if they went a pg-13 route and handcuffed them in their ability to break the 4th wall and have fun with Disney and Marvel
Also Im just so glad we are finally getting some X-men action and acknowledgment
Disney bought Fox in 2017 and it wasn't fully closed until 2019 and i knew it was going to take awhile before X-men were introduced but didn't think it would take this long.
We are due for great comic book media and i know it will be another long wait until disney does a stand alone X-men movie but atleast we are going to finally see some
I haven't seen any of the leaks, I suspect all the footage we saw was from act 1-beginning of act 2.
I've seen speculation that the snowy forest is Wade going to the opening scene of Age of Ultron
Guardians 3 had its moments for sure.
I tried watching the new batman and couldn't sit through it.
Deadpool is just awesome and I love wolverine
Prediction:
- Deadpool has everything he wants.
- Solution: "Wait, we can escape to where I'm sending all these clowns - the Void!"
- Problem: The Void isn't safe either. No where is safe. TVA is still after them
- Solution: There's also Cassandra in the Void.
I think the trailer saved the MCU. I'm hyped and I haven't been excited since Endgame.
U weren't excited for NWH, Guardians? Regardless on how you feel when u watched it, u weren't excited for MoM and Wakanda Forever based on trailers?
@@G-LukeJAespecially Guardians of the Galaxy
I'm sorry but you saying last year wasn't that bad and the marvels didn't make a lot of money, actually the marvels didn't make any money at all
Mmmmm, yeah it was just the back of a bald head in the trailer. That does not mean its guaranteed to be xaviers twin sister. Hell, I think its more likely its The Ancient One making a cameo
So far every X-man we've seen in live action cameos has been in their costumes from the animated TV show... Makes you wonder how heavily that's going to tie in now.
Bet that white fuzz on your shirt drove you nuts during the edit.
This just shows that people didn't have "superhero movie fatigue", but rather they had "mediocre movie fatigue"
I'm calling it right now: The person in the white suit is Quicksilver.
It's literally a shot from the comics of Patch
