When I changed my fluid on my c max I took off the driver side wheel and tire. There's a fill plug right on the side of trans. Was simple, trans worked fine. It was like changing a maual trans .
Was ready to change the ATF on our 2013 Cmax yesterday. Then I found the user manual said the transmission takes 5.7 quarts. That threw me for a loop, since everything I've seen on youtube talks about 4 quarts.
If your filling up a brand new dry transmission including the torque converter it will take more. But just draining and filling it will be just around 4 quarts.
Sorry this took so long. Yes 4 transmissions same car under a 3 year warranty. Something would break on the internals on the driver's side axle input shaft. It would cause a leak that could not be fixed with a new seal and after a while it would scream like a banshee
Yes and when the warranty expired on the last one it was okay because I had learned how to take extra care of it. But I quite driving for Uber/Lyft and I sold the car while it was still in good condition

Interesting, what year was your car because the trans changed a bit depending on the year

Thanks . This will fix the transmission limited function message?
I never had transmission limited function on my C-MAX. I drove the hell out of it even when it ran bad
Wait not 4 transmissions on this same car right??
