12:37 Kent... Thank you... The transition back to civilian life was hard. But, lately, I've been struggling. I was an Army medic. I was Doc. My boys trusted me with their lives. I was a leader and had the responsibility of teaching and lead my junior medics, so they could perform to the best of their abilities if/when the call for Doc came up and lives depended on their ability to perform. But, out here. That chapter of my life might as well have not existed. It means a lot to hear you thank service members and veterans because, after watching your videos for some time, I know you actually mean it. Thank you... I'm actually making your recipe rn to help start my day.
Thank you for your Service Doc. You'd be surprised as to how many vets remember you w/o a doubt. Times ahead are very possibly going to be hard for us all. Perhaps you may want to consider doing a channel that would even inspire amateurs that may need skills. Again, Thank you Doc.💜🙏
Mr. Rollins, I am an active duty soldier and I appreciate you tipping your hat off to all the servicemen and women. I watch all your new videos as soon as they come out and although I may not have quite the cooking skills that you have, I still enjoy watching for leisure. God bless you and your family.
Some of my best memories with my grandmother we're making donuts. I still have her handwritten recipe cards with our donut recipe on them. One of my greatest treasures.
Just beautiful❤️ ..even when you are cooking by yourself, you will have the company of your grandmother and other generations alongside you! Allow me to please share this awesome quote with you: “In the childhood memories of every good cook, there’s a large kitchen, a warm stove, a simmering pot and a mom.” ~Barbara Costikyan
My mom got tricked by hers. Apparently the ladies used to sabotage and play jokes on each other when they exchanged recipes. There was one my mom did that said to turn the mixer to the highest setting and dump flour in. The entire kitchen got floured.
My mother just passed a year ago, but your video reminds me of her teaching me how to make food that you can make on the round-up. She was a sharp-shooter and all the herd would hit up and go when and where she'd say, but no one else out there could make food that tasted like food, not like "just better than starvation..." Thank you for such a sweet reminder, and God bless you and your newest endeavor.
Or maybe on the lake right after casting out a line and waiting for that fish to grab the hook and run... You just want to bite that donut, sip some hot coffee, and bask in the first morning light of God’s country. That’s a great day!
While this may not be one of your old videos, this would have to be my favorite. My son was born around this time and I was working the graveyard shift (insert cop joke about liking donuts). On my off days whenever my son would wake up crying, I would hold him and we would watch your videos together. You talk about warming your children's milk and that's exactly what I would be doing while holding him and watching your channel. He has watched many of your videos and we've also visited your amazing coffee shop. Thank you for all that you do and your strong, outspoken faith. God bless.
You don't get a more wholesome, down home man, who loves his country! Then kent. I wish there were more like him! This world would be a better place. Keep making the world a better place!
Best donut recipe ever. Used a bread machine but cut the recipe in half and used half the dough at a time. Store the extra dough in the refrigerator in a plástic bag. Cut in 2 inch squares to fry. perfect taste and texture
My granddaughter and I were watching and she said I am going to do that...feed the beagle! Say Hi to Duke and Shan. We love your channel and cookbook! Thank you for remembering our veterans and service men and women! Tom Sellberg, US Army Veteran 1980-86...
I haven't been following you for very long, but since my wife and I saw you at Silver Dollar City I can't stop watching and learning from your videos. As prior military thank you for all you do.
"Cowboy Coffee" sounds fantastic! Congratulations on doing that...along with videos, cooking for the cowboys, working the ranch, making cook books, etc. etc. etc!!! Just how many of you are there? Again, thanks for another great video! God bless the new shop!
22 year old Eagle Scout here and I’ve been so inspired by your channel here and I’m getting back into outdoor cooking! As soon as the old steel horse is out of the shop I’m coming from north Georgia to stop by the coffee shop!
Mr. Rollins thank you for your videos I’m an active duty marine and I love to watch your videos no need to thank me for my service you guys are all worth it you are. Keep making these videos I get hungry every time
Best of luck with the Donut shop...I added a pin in the event I pass through. Hint...Chorizo breakfast burrito with potatoes, egg and cheese goes well before and after a donut and travels just as well on a road trip. I use the engine block to warm it up if I have too. Not a trucker just a retired communication technician road warrior that had to be resourceful in West Texas.
Thank you so much Cowboy Kent for sharing your recipe for these awesome looking donuts!! A donut and a cup of your coffee sounds good to me, as long as we could sit down together and talk awhile. God bless you and your previous wife.
Congrats on the new Cowboy Coffee shop. My brother started out his college over in Clarendon, before going to Pharmacy school up in Weatherford. He ran Rogers Pharmacy in Dumas for many years, and he even had a coffee and doughnut shop he ran next door to his store. I'm sure you will be the hit of the town there, hope I make it by there some day for a visit !
Love glazed yeast donuts! You should get native Oklahoma resident and America's Got Talent winner, Darci Lynn to be a guest on your show. I'm sure she'd love to learn some good country cooking. 😁
Old Vietnam vet here. Just want to say thank you for your service Mr. Rollins by giving everybody entertaining and informative videos entertainment. God bless you and yours sir.
Reminds me of a time we made them when I was kid. Can’t remember how old I was but I remember making them and how they tasted so much better than any other donuts. Thanks for kick starting the memory. If I’m ever down in Texas I’ll see ya at the coffee shop. Congrats on the new business adventure.
Hi Kent & Shannon, I just got your new book the other day and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to sign it ! I look forward to every video every week and now I can't wait to take a road trip to Wellington, TX. to visit you guys in person !!! Thanks for all you do and God Bless you for being such a great American !!!!

It took you five minutes into your vid to get there, but you surely did! ... And, then, you dropped your surprise on us, Cowboy Kent, Shan, The Beag and Duke are opening up a coffee shop in Wellington? BRAVO and CONGRATULATIONS!! I feel a powerful yearning for a road trip. 2nd thought: That donut shop in Wellington sells Kolaches too? Yum. I've never stopped in Wellington Texas so my favorites came from the Village Bakery in West Texas. That's the town of West, not the geographical side of Texas. Yep, they make/made some good'ns and the Nemecek's butcher shop/sausage maker is/was just short distance down the street from them if my memory holds true - but that was right at four decades ago by now. This is when i use why in making donuts, it makes them light and fluffy Yes shifting it helps> unless your making cake donuts I still make chocolate coated donuts, with thawed out strawberries, and sugar on top with ICE CREAM or whip cream on top i call it Strawberry Chocolate Donut Short Cakes > TRY IT ! YOU GOT DONUTS ! it so yummy ! GOOD JOB KENT ! LOOKS DELICIOUS
Thanks i love it. That way i get my donuts and strawberry short cakes all in 1 . its hard to get away from donuts and a glass of milk or coffee, I like to dip them
Best of luck and blessings for your new venture, if I’m ever in Texas I sure will visit, but being in the Royal Navy I’m not quite sure when that will be! Thank you also for always saluting vets and Services, means a lot, many people take it as granted what safe and secure Countries they live in.
My grandmother made potato doughnuts ! Mashed potatoes in the recipe, my uncle and I would eat them as fast as they came out of the fryer and dipped in glaze
🤣 I love that donut dance. Thank you again Cowboy Kent and Shan for always bringing a big smile and laugh to my house. Wow those donuts sure be lookin delicious they are. Ima gonna try them tomorrow morning I am. So thank you again for your amazing dishes and joyful spirit. God Bless you guys.
I'm seriously thinking about moving down to Texas from Ohio, if my son and I make it down I will be a regular at Cowboy Coffee. Just seems when I turn my ear into the wind I hear freedom ringing a lot louder from Texas than where I am currently. God Bless and thank you for the great recipes and videos.
I just found your station and I 💘 it! Also wanted to drop another little tip...coffee and powered sugar also makes a wonderful glaze. Thank you and Shan! I look forward to all of your videos. God bless you!
Yall always fill my belly, heart, and soul. Teaching me how to make food great, being real, and supporting what's right. God bless yall, and to many more adventures down the cookin' trail. Keep up the good work, my friends. Much love and respect from NM.
I remember granny sifting the flour. she had a big hoop with a screen in it and she would spread the cloth on the kitchen floor. We would all sit there and take turns sifting the weevils out of the flour. We lived over seas and we regularly sifted the flour when we brought it home from the mill. Gran always sifted it again prior to use. she also had a flour bowl so whatever didn't get used was sifted back into it for the next time. Gran used to tell storys about when she was young, her mother had a table where the container for the flour was put into a hopper of a thing so all she had to do was put the bowl under it and open the hopper a bit to get flour in the bowl.
I’ve never made donuts but I have made beignets. I usually fry those in shallow oil because I never know what to do with a gallon of used oil. Can you fry these in shallow oil - about an inch or so? My mom use to put it in a jar in the refrigerator after making french fries and use it at least one more time. PS: I really enjoy your channel and your support of our military and first responders! 👍🇺🇸
I brought the legend of Kent's Cowboy Coffee to a campsite in Wisconsin this past week. Me and my buddies were on a bikepacking trip. Made that cowboy coffee in an old Army canteen mug and it blew my buddies' minds. Donuts next time.
I enjoy your recipes and videos, quite entertaining! This video gave me the solution to a problem I've had making bread, I have a bread machine (I'm lazy), next time I will put the yeast in milk and sugar and wait for it to culture before adding, Im sure it will solve my bread making issue, thanks!
Those are some mighty fine lookin doughnuts. A cup of cowboy coffee and that’s fine dining! A tip of my hat to you Kent! May our dear Lord continue to bless those who have served and continue to serve this great country! God bless!
Hey Cowboy Kent, I love watching your videos, everything about them suits me fine. Just A suggestion, if you want to use your mixer parts without electricity out there bring a battery powered drill. It makes your parts can squeeze in there just like a drill bit. Love you all. Keep on cowboying
As I was checking the little 6 acre pond to see what condition it is in after a few good rain storms, I was thinkin bout y'all when y'all are out on the range cookin and videoin and just generally enjoyin life. Well, I got my checkin done( did this cause an old VietNam vet friend wants to fish in the am...I promised him) and went on back to the barn, and got home and the bride says,"Look!, You got cow pucky on your brand new tires.... that's sad". I said,"No it ain't honey, pickup trucks and cowpies are made for each other". Here's the good part..... The tires are Goodyear,.....and if you have watched the news, these tires got what was comin to em. BS! True story.... God Bless you two, and we'll see ya down the old Cow Puckey trail.
My grandmother made the lightest, yummiest donuts I've ever had! She used mashed potatoes as a rising agent. They were only light and fluffy for that first day, after which they started to fall. But on that first day - SO light and fluffy and amazing, almost like eating air. Delicious air!! 😊
Congratulations on the coffee shop sounds like a great place maybe one day I'll be able to stop in and have a cup with you even though I don't really drink coffee
My grandma used to make doughnuts like these and you are not kidding they are so much better than any doughnuts you buy. She had a recipe that made about 80 and they didn't last long even after freezing and eating they were better than any other. Going to have to try this.
My favorite childhood memory... my grandma helping me make canned biscuit donuts w/ powdered sugar dusted on them. Just wondered if you & Shannon have been to The Flying W Ranch Chuckwagon. Chuckwagon feed & Flying W Wranglers Jamboree. Great food & Music. Loved watching you all since the Bobby Flay Throwdown Show!
Kent you should talk to Black rifle coffee company. Veteran owned coffee company. Amazing coffee brewed by an amazing cook such as your self. I tip my hat to all would be right in the world.
I don't eat donuts any longer, for health reasons ( and very bad habits in early drivers' licence years!!!!), but I clicked 👍. I would make an exception for a warm one of these! Thanks Kent!
Love this guy's videos. Don't always comment. However, i gotta say that this is pure quality. As a veteran myself, the end of his videos are such a gift. I really appreciate you giving a shout out and loving our flag that we fought for.
Ok sir. I held my nose on the shipping and bought 2 original and one mesquite . I can’t cook without your rubs. They are worth every dollar. God bless and rock on cowboy. Love you folks.
Cowboy Kent, I love watching your videos. Not only is your food awesome, you remind me of my dear mentor Red Duke! Your humor and mannerisms are so similar. So glad I found your videos.
Fine looking donuts Kent, I remember when growing up we didn't have a lot of money, but I do remember my grandmother making cinnamon and sugar donuts, I think she used tube biscuits, but I do remember it fed me and all my cousins. Fond memories Kent, congratulations to u and Shannon on your coffee-donut shop in Texas. U both take care and God Bless u both.
Don't want to speak for the rest of the veterans, but this veteran appreciates you guys. Thank you for your support. And donuts
Thanks for watching Andrew and your service
As does this one!!!
Thank you for your Service.💜🙏
As do I.
Thank you for your services.

SIMPLE, FOOD POLICE.
Yeah, somebody will watch the video and then say "I don't like donuts" and give a thumbs down???? A bunch of lug nuts! !! !!!
Vegan hipsters with nothing better to do.
Haters will hate
I'm diabetic and donuts are one of the worst thing but love watching Ken's videos

Good donut, cup of coffee and the morning breeze as the sun rises over the horizon. Truly something that refreshes the soul

Kent just made the second key to my heart. Love donuts.
My grandma used to make doughnuts like these and you are not kidding they are so much better than any doughnuts you buy. She had a recipe that made about 80 and they didn't last long even after freezing and eating they were better than any other. Going to have to try this.
I love those pups! It’s awesome you include them!

Kent, you have a very wholesome channel. God bless. Also, maybe the next thing you could make is some spicy apple dumplings from a Dutch oven.

I don't eat donuts any longer, for health reasons ( and very bad habits in early drivers' licence years!!!!), but I clicked 👍. I would make an exception for a warm one of these! Thanks Kent!
