Good reaction. 'The One' was the last song on the second album in 2016 (following straight on from 'Tales of the Destinies'). This was the version from the Japanese edition of the album, so yes it is the half and half English-Japanese version. The international edition has the full English version that the girls had challenged themselves to do as a mark of respect and appreciation to the foreign fans who they noticed had been learning Japanese to sing along with them as they toured the world. This is effectively their love letter to the fans (who they also named "THE ONE"). Being the official video this had the studio audio and of course you couldn't hear the crowd all singing along as you would in a live version. The First Take just released an "unfinished" version ie it is stripped back with piano and strings only (also it is very much shortened having just the first verse). Legend S is possibly the best unfinished start going into the full version, Tokyo Dome had the extended full English version, Stairway to Living Legend probably the most emotional 'unfinished' version (a longer version of what they did on The First Take).
The girls of Babymetal told the Fox God messenger aka Kobametal that when performing at these big shows they wanted to be closer to the fans. They definitely found a way to do it. 🙂
And again a thing that makes Babymetal stand out - not many other bands do such a great song for their fans, right? Greetings from Germany and keep on babymetaling...
Nice ONE, thanks! 😁 The Yokohama Arena 2015 visuals on this music video are extremely cool. Moa told that she didn't want to look much at the people below because she was about to cry and didn't want her tears fall over them. And that's incredibly cute! 🤘🦊
I think this is a good choice in video. It's the only time you seem them floating unless you get to see the actual Blu Ray footage. Plus I love that it is Japanese/English mixed. There are other good performances too but this one is pretty special if you ask me. 🤘🦊🤘
If you didn't know 'the one' is the crowd and this is their tribute to the most amazing crowds I've ever seen. goose bumps.. spine tingling from beginning to end. never seen a group which includes the kami band, absolutely own crowds like these guys. They are unique and just soooo amazing. Imagine travelling across the entire crowd while they adore you from beginning to end. Just wow!
The Tokyo Dome concert features extended versions of “GJ” “Meta Taro” and “Yava!” Also a rare performance of “Synchopation,” which is only on the Japanese version of Metal Resistance. If you want to see the English version of “The One,” check out the Wembley concert.
So yes BABYMETAL often have a mix of Japanese and English lyrics in all their songs - there is a pure English version to as a thank you to the fans (aka The One) as they realised the fans were learning Japanese to song along
You owe it to yourself to watch the entire live performance from liftoff to landing, when the song ends properly without any fadeout. Also, you get some great peeks at how the ground crew manages the umbilical.
Just looked through your vids.. and amazed you haven't done 'the first take - babymetal monochrome'. you luv su's voice.. you absolutely have to do it. no thinking about it.. just do it.
I very much prefer this half Japanese half English version over the all English ones. Not that the English versions aren't awesome as well. i just love hearing her sing in her own language. They just did another First Take with a shorter version of 'The One' but no guitars in that one.
Great reaction as always. I really love that song. Can you please react to "Monochrome" next? It would be amazing if you choose the "First take piano version" of this song. Su's voice will definitely blow you away again. The whole song is a goosebump moment. Greetings from germany 🤘🏻🦊
Believe or not, in the early comments of this official video, their were fans who implored Su not to sing in English because of her accent. I’m glad she ignored that plea. Perhaps through study, practice, and touring with the Western Kami Band (Americans) and appearing with other Western bands, her English improved exponentially. In her early teens, her English carried (to my ears) an Australian accent, but clearly took on an American accent in her late teens/early twenties. On another note, I’ve viewed lots of Babymetal reaction videos by many TH-camrs, and I have to applaud your approach in actually doing some deep research and conveying a level of confidence in being able to relate to your viewers, especially long time fans such as myself. I sometimes cringe when I see other reviewers who know nothing about Babymetal Lore, The One fan club, the meaning of the Fox Sign, and the Fox God. So, thank you for falling down the Fox Hole and reviewing Babymetal as a fan and not just jumping on the Babymetal Reaction Video Bandwagon as others just hungry for click counts.
Here you are... No reason why I can't understand it Open your mind We can understand it Please let me know If you know this is the end of the world Let me know If you know the truth Looking for our hope Looking for our dream We're gonna find a way to change This is our song This is our dream Please take us to the land of dreams, yeah We are the one Together We are the only one You are the one Forever You are the only one We are the one Together We are the only one You are the one Forever You are the only one I feel it now The time has come for us Believe it now It's time to get ready Tell me why You know that this is the end of the world Tell me why You know it's the truth We stand in a circle pit Side-by-side We stand in a circle pit Raise your hands This is our song This is our dream Please take us to the land of dreams Far away (La la la la, la la la la la la la la) (We are the one) We are the one Together We're the only one You are the one Forever You're the only one We are the one Whenever We are on your side You are the one Remember Always on your side We are the one Together We're the only one You are the one Forever, ah (La la la la, la la la la la la la la)

I agree with you completely. it just feels better.

I really really enjoy BaByMETAL!@

Great reaction. Babymetal is unique.
Great stuff Taira-san. I believe you should set the in video volume higher to match your voice volume. Hope this helps.
FYI the stage setup is an homage to iron maiden powerslave album cover
THE ONE:-
This song was dedicated to the fans of Babymetal, referred to them as "THE ONE". As Babymetal performed all over the world, Su-Metal notice that the fans sang Babymetal songs in Japanese eventhough they don't understand Japanese. So this songs was composed specifically for the fans especially the non-Japanese speaking fans. Not every band took the time and effort to compose a song just for the fans thus making Babymetal special.

Tokyo Dome (東京ドーム, Tōkyō Dōmu, TYO: 9681) is a stadium in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan. Construction on the stadium began on May 16, 1985, and it opened on March 17, 1988. It was built on the site of the Velodrome, adjacent to the predecessor ballpark, Korakuen Stadium. It has a maximum total capacity of 57,000 depending on configuration, with an all-seating configuration of 42,000.
Tenants:-
•Yomiuri Giants (NPB (Central League)) (1988-present).
•Nippon Ham Fighters (NPB (Pacific League)) (1988-2003).
Tokyo Dome's original nickname was "The Big Egg", with some calling it the "Tokyo Big Egg". Its dome-shaped roof is an air-supported structure, a flexible membrane supported by slightly pressurizing the inside of the stadium. It was developed by Nikken Sekkei and Takenaka Corporation. It was modeled after the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
It is the home field of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team, and has also hosted music concerts, basketball, American football and association football games, as well as puroresu (pro-wrestling) matches, mixed martial arts events, kickboxing events, and monster truck races. It is also the location of the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame which chronicles the history of baseball in Japan. It became the first Japanese venue with an American football attendance above 50,000.
The Tokyo Dome is commonly used in Japan as a measure for illustrating the size of large spaces in Japan, much the same way that football fields are used in the United
