@@morebagels - NOT pledging has one massive benefit. Great summary, thx for the Video.hindsight is 20-20 based on Fdev and making Engineering easier over time, and since i am not an early adopter, i am with CMDR Mechan on this one. Give it some time...if it is anything like ED's history about 7 yrs down the line they will make PP 2 easier and i will participate then (to avoid the infinity grind-fest Fdev is known for), after the sheee is sorted out. Hopefully if we stil have servers running by then ofc.

Haha. Same. You need to use the power and activity filter when using the power filter. I’m sure there will be quality of life updates, as we got with the Goid war UI.
Currently no, but there are on foot ways to support your power. I hope they continue to bridge the gap between on foot and in ship, on foot is fun for me, but it feels too disconnected. Like a separate game.
the real question, can you keep the rank when leaving for another power or sad grind reset, or if you can keep the perks(profit bonuses mainly), cuz id do those and return to iwaifu if i could keep the bonuses?
Well...me, because this is the first major game-mechanic update since I left the game 3 years ago and I was looking for details. I left beacause of the grind the game requires and the "rank" system with the powers is just another grind on top of the massive the game already is. Good to see some changes, but hardly enough to make me install it again :/
@@FrendlyM Just a FYI they have changed a lot in ways of the grind. Very easy to get materials, less time wasted flying in system using the new SCO(supercruise overcharge).
@@hughey22 I have heard there were some changes to this and it is great for sure. However, I played long enough to have credits and materials to unlock and engineer the (I think) 6 ships I really wanted and I don't see a reason to unlock others because those I had could do everything I really wanted to do. The powerplay 2.0 would mean using those ships to do the same activities I had been doing before, only for different rewards. But what are the rewards useful for anyway? If I logged into the game, I think I would be looking at about 300M credits on my account. I can buy any modules and engineer them, so discounts on modules or buyback costs are really not interesting, increased payoffs are neither for the same reason. The update will be good for new players but I don't see what this update brings to the players who have 1000+ hours in the game. If they brought an update that would remove Solo play from the game, and thus would make it so that collective efforts in BGS cannot be undermined by someone untouchable in Solo. If they rebalanced weapons and upgrades so that everything would have some use, if they fixed multicrew and made squadrons more indepth, then THAT would be something.
I was hoping that there would have been some new rep weapons when PP 2.0. I spent a few months last year getting all the Powers' modules. A lot of them are junk (cough cough MINING LASER!! cough cough)

Li Young Rui seems like the best choice just for the amount of benefits he offers
Leaning that way myself!
Ive already pledged and started moving some of my ships
Yes he's also good for a lot of the nicest player minor factions' systems.
Yeah he's got some absolutely OP benefits at max merit. Literally like zero cost to operate in combat zones and bounty hunting
