@Dave the problem is with a high hp 308 355 comes with drivabillity you can build a ground shaking monster but you really need to know what your doing with the oiling system oil mods ect because they just don't last when the heat is on them unless they are set up properly mate I've seen some good ones and one last 10mins
@Dave hey mate sounds good a crane 288 cam is a pretty big cam for early heads 288 cam is really good with a 355 with alloy or ported vn heads with the early b cast big valve heads you best match a mid sized cam to suit the flow of the heads for best performance . Just my opinion but many people have used the 288 just have to speak to someone who has used it in a 308.
