Was it a similar looking Opel or a rebadged commodore? I didn't know they sold in UK under any badge! 😱

interesting I'm building an LS i went with lunati 4.100 crank, Manley 6.125 h-beam rods, JE 4.00 flat top pistons, rectangle heads, yella Terra RR, Aeroflow intake, and a 98mm turbo going in my HDT VE G3 has cost me a small fortune so far but its my baby so cost is what it costs, I've got 220lb injectors with full Aeromotive -10 fuel system 10lt surge tank, she good for -10 90lbs im chasing something over 1500hp like you must be streetable so I'm relying on a turbosmart eboost 2 for that, ill be running 2 50mm wastegates only thing holding me up is lifters I wanting link bar lifters not a lot around atm peter Michael's will be doing the balancing and anything i need doing engine machining wise its going to be something very cool, I'm a bit worried about roll cage as their illegal in my state

Sounds like it'll be a LOT of fun once built! Good luck with build!

    9’s with a stock LS1 ?

      Pretty far from stock.

Correct, it went 9.9 @ 135mph with a virtually stock LS1 from the wreckers. The only mod it got was a set of valve springs to handle boost. Other than that, it was a bog stock LS1 on 98 pump fuel.
Since then it’s got the iron block and a 9” fitted, so it’s heavier now, but it’s since been 9.7 @ 138mph, still on 98 pump fuel. Goal is 8’s on E85.

@@vlc30l ok, thanks. When I heard “stock” I assumed totally stock. No turbo or anything

@@dirkdiggler5763 ok, yeah it was a stock turbo LS1 with valve springs. Was great bang for buck when LS1’s were $600 a motor. Run 9’s for a year and then slot in another $600 bullet and go again lol
