Agree! I’ve often wondered how larger channels can keep up with all the comments. I mean, I do appreciate a comment, but it’s never expected. If it’s easy to do a heart when reading through… I think that’s sufficient to say it’s been read.
Hey Scott! I'm always happy to get that little heart by my comments. Thanks for reading them😂 And yes for wearing clothes more than once, a plus for saving resources.
I agree! Also, washing wears out your clothes so fast. We have so many beige one products now days and unless you’re out mowing or plowing the lower 40, or jogging… you don’t need to wash your clothes each time.
Scott, Actually been watching you for awhile but never left a comment. Enjoy the vlog very much as it’s newsy, non-hyper & I enjoy your story. Wishing you always the best. Dave
Thanks for showing us how van life really is! Good pointers on food and laundry for sure! Good that you do not candy coat the reality of living in your van. I am going full time next year, as soon as I get my van up and running and my no build/build complete!
Another great video Scott!. I always thought it was so kind of you to answer as many comments as you did and now that you are not able to, I just feel appreciation for the kindness and time youi devoted and happiness for your channel growth!
I totally relate to not getting up because of not being excited about the day -- some days are just like that. Oooo, but you faced it and now have clean sheets to crawl into tonight -- sweet. I hope your channel grows so much that it is impossible to read all comments. My wish is only that my liking and making comments helps you get there is some small way....don't need nothin' in return.
I appreciate your comments Scott about the quality of your t shirt.l personally prefer to buy light weight merino wool sweaters as they are warm but not too heavy.l read somewhere that how a garment feels on your body is very important as it can directly affect your mood in general.Even though l pay a much higher price for my sweaters l'm happy to just save up to buy them as they are so comfortable and last for a long time if l make sure to wash them appropriately.Your bridge to freedom looked beautiful...what a great experience it must be to drive in that area.Really enjoyed your post...thank you 😁
I just love your obsession with coffee. I play your video twice one without the ads and the next one on a different day I just let your video play with the ads. I
Yup really good laundromats are hard to find I like the ones that have a person on duty and I make it a point to thank them for working. All the best Scott😊
This is a no comment, comment. Lol😁 Thanks for the video, Scott! I find your voice and manner calming and you help me remember to just slow down and take care of "first things first," and not waste my energy on things out of my control. Have a great day!!🌠
That is a beautiful bridge. I'm glad you are staying hydrated. Sports drinks are disgusting and I'm not allergic to them. We always keep coconut water on hand. Works great! 👍😊
Thanks for keeping me company today Scott. Love the videos and your new shoes - these will be good for your back too. Be safe and well. Watch out for Bigfoot 👀😊
I used to own a house on the Hilltop in Tacoma. I was a member of the Hilltop Action Coalition, the Urban League, and Safe Streets. I learned the hard way when I wanted to wash a blanket is to not go to the laundromat around the first of the month.
Hi scott when I first discovered vanlife some people would be parked by the beach, mountains having a fantastic view it's nice to follow you doing ordinary things talking about challenges you face from time to time
That sure looks like Arizona, when you pulled up into McClendon's. What do ya' say. That laundromat was spotless. Definitely a rare find. Great video Scott. Always look forward to your journeys. Have a great day.

I love watching you I’ve learned a lot. I was living in my car for about six months and I got a little like maybe I want to be in an apartment I’m 67 so it was probably a good idea. The only thing is now the energy in the apartment is super super bad and I have a lease. I have six months left and then I’m out of here back to my car Freedom thanks for sharing
Interesting! Wool t-shirt! I'm a big fan of wool (and other natural fibers). Plus, yes, you could always hand-wash the T and let it air dry. People in America are ridiculously fastidious about wearing a garment once and having to wash it. I'm not saying you should go about dirty. Heck no! Say No to BO! But it's usually not necessary to wash a garment after ONE wearing! New to your channel, and enjoying your mellow, easy-going videos!
I am happy for any hearts or likes I have received from you ;) anyway just a note I often wear my clothes multiple times unless it is bad that no one wants to be around me :)
Great video Scott 😊 so agree about clean laundromats! They’re super-important and when you find good ones, stick with them! I used a good one before I purchased a machine. Friends have picked up bed bugs from not so great laundries…if the machines and dryers don’t heat up enough they don’t kill the bugs and eggs.
I love being on that side of the bridge too. The Hoh rainforest, Lake Crescent, Forks, the Tree of life, Hurricane Ridge, Westport, Port Townsend, so many beautiful places over there ❤
Thanks for your video. Really enjoyed going along with you on your day. Even if it is "wash day". And I would definitely go out of my way & pay a bit more for a clean laundromat. So worth it! Hope you get all your errands done today. Sleep well (on clean sheets! Yay!) Take care.
I recently took a short vacation to Los Gatos, CA from my home in GA, and really fell in love with the area. I found your channel around the same time, and I’ve enjoyed your content - it is so soothing. I really want come back to spend more time in CA and check out some places you’ve visited. ❤
Hello Scott, One day our paths may cross in person... We came close on this day. That laundry mat is really nice. I like the building and the way it's painted. Catch you on the flip side.... , maybe.❤ You said you like the narrows bridge... Have you heard about the bridge's beginnings??? Galloping Gurdie? It had a pretty Rocky start. 😂❤
Ah, yes, The Narrows. May Galloping Gertie rest in peace. I’m really enjoying your videos from “Seattle.” I lived in that area long enough to come to love it. I’m glad you’re there to let me see more of the region than I can manage in any given year. Cheers to you!
Coincidence. And thanks for the reminder I’d been thinking of getting a couple more wool Ts. Checked out the prices and think I’ll wait for a good sale.
Hey there Scott. Nice look in on your routine. I can relate to a lot of your video, since I live a similar lifestyle. So, some short comments on what I just watched…😉 First, I thought your laundromat would have a bowling alley, the way you were hyping it. LOL! Cleanliness is important. 👍 I like to clean the truck camper (used to be a van) while washing/drying my clothes. Bed sheets are a pain to put on in these small conversions. 😕 I wear cotton shirts for best comfort and polyester blend (air wick) for outdoor exercise, as the perspiration dries quickly (but not as comfortable). I have used U-Haul mostly, for propane fills, and I would agree that they have a hard time filling them without purging them first. I carry two 5 lb propane bottles and have found I get 10 weeks of use per bottle. That is from cooking only (coffee, breakfast, dinner) as I rarely use heat, due to location. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Scott! It's a beautiful day here in WA State. I'm south of Olympia. If you are ever heading south on I-5, honk your horn when you go past the Hwy 12 exit. That laundromat looks very nice. Your channel is great by the way, I look forward to your adventures and hikes. Thanks to you I bought an AeroPress and small coffee grinder recently and love making coffee that way. You can't beat a nice cup of "Magic beans".
I don't do laundry outside the home, but when I moved a few years ago, I purchased a set of packing/moving bags from Amazon... They are blue and super strong with a zipper... I'd suggest you try those because you could have put your bedding in it, along with your clothes... PLUS, it's easy to wipe clean and folds away perfectly. I actually use mine to store blankets and my son's old toys now. You can get a set or four for under $25. Also, I get it about the laundromats... We moved in September and didn't bring our old set... The new prices of washers and dryers shocked me so I decided to wait until Black Friday sales. I found a laundromat that I loved and would only go there. It was clean, quiet, and had good machines. I kinda miss going - something about that laundromat smell and getting it all done at once! 😊
I some times have rinsed out my clothing in the laundromat deep sink or take my own plastic basin. Then i dry them in the machines. I know people often beach clothing in the machines and even dye garments and bed linens I saw a woman washing horse blankets at a laundromat. Be careful. Its very annoying and inconsiderate what people do sometimes. But when i wash my out my apparrel using my own tub i dont have to worry about what the last person did. Living on the road has many challenges. Getting laundry done is one of them. Lesrn to love what you do and find your own best system. Live your videos. Ykur do bonest and transparent. Good quality. Rare these days.
Gerolsteiner water is pretty famous and good mineral water here in Germany. I just saw the bottle in your video and thought “ what?? They have I over there?” 😅
laundromat terrors! i agree finding a good one is not easy today. i just did a light comforter and a med. spent $7.50 wash the big and $4.50 wash the small. first i did the sniff test to see if i could smell mold inside the washer or the soap area. i could but just a little. all the machines needed a wipe down. to dry was $3.00 n it took 48 mins for each comforter. you could no longer clean out the lint trap because they took away the paper towels that used to be by the sink. so maybe that was my problem but i swear my 2 comforters smell worse now then when i put them in the machines. it's depressing. also had to pick hair off and it wasn't my hair!🙄 lots of dirty looking people in there. hey i lived in a vehicle for 4 years so when i say dirty looking people, i don't mean presentable to your best ability but haven't been able to shower in a week. i mean dirty. i don't know. do they recycle the water?
I'm from GERMANY and I've been watching your videos for a long time and I really enjoy them. I also like drinking Gerolsteiner the most, it's the best mineral water for me and a bottle costs around 70-80 cents here. I send you my best wishes from vanlife in Germany
@@catea2551 We have a regulation and water that is bottled must be spring water. We have many springs in Germany and you pay a lot of money for branded goods
No written response is necessary. Most TH-camr’s don’t expect them. Comment when you want to. The upside is that your videos are entertaining and informative so people will keep watching.
Hi Scott! I'm glad you're in the area still I won't be irritated if you don't comment back 😊 After a hard day at work, it's nice to come home and watch your video!!! Thank you
@StaticCamperVan I was wondering if you were going to respond being that you have so many people to take care of, I didn't mean to take three days to Respond back haha! I don't think I have my notification sounds turned to the right setting anyways I really appreciate your videos thank you again
Looking forward to seeing your time spent in the Olympics! Have you visited Sequim before?? It's supposed to be the lavender capital of the US. Also, I haven't tried Smart Wool, but love my Icebreaker wool tees. One of them is about 8 years old and looks as good as it did the day I bought it. I wear them year-round as they're great for temperature regulation. Quick drying, super durable and anti-bacterial, too. I pick one up when they're on sale, but I honestly think they're worth the full price.
Everyone has things to do! We understand! I am going through quite a bit trying to rent my park model, having a bit of a time getting electric so the renter can have electric in their name.
Love's in Fife is good for propane. Chester's Chicken too. Or you can get a burger across 99 or Pacific Highway at Pick-Quick Drive In. Point Defiance is a favorite park. McLendon's is a great store especially for Plumbing parts. Lots of hard to find items other stores just don't carry. Went there a lot during 40 years of construction...
Thanks for sharing the vedeo we raised our family in Gig Harbor. Let out there for 38 years. We're on this side of the bridge. Now fact we will be going right past the area. You did your laundry. I have medical doctors today. Look to see if we see you.
So that's where Tacoma Narrows Bridge is! I know it from physics class: the 1940 collapse of Galloping Gertie, nickname for the newly built bridge, due to how it wobbled around in the wind.
Don’t feel bad Scott! If I didn’t own this condo, I would move to a small town on the Olympic Peninsula. I have an old friend who purchased a small condo in Tacoma that was under foreclosure for $65,000 and she moved there and commuted to Seattle for work.
For 11 years I've been trying to find the best balance between having enough clothes and bedding to prolong laundry (and to satisfy my desire for variety), and having enough space for other things. I think I have it worked out now. Maybe. Oh, and I keep my dirty things in a former scuba gear duffle with mesh panels (for drainage of wet gear). The ventilation seems to keep the clothes from fermenting like they would in a solid bag.
A utube couple I watch wear Marino wool summer and winter. That was the first time I'd heard of it. They talk highly of them. Hope the new t's workout for you this summer.😊
Horrible childhood experiences with wool have kept me away from the stuff, and it'll probably stay that way for the rest of my life. I know, I know, we have much better wool now than we did in the 50s, but I'm fine without it.
Ohh that's interesting what you said about the ram promaster not being a fiat, after a bit of digging I've read that it actually has a different engine and transmission designed by Chrystler. I was steering clear of these vans because I'd heard from multiple sources that these vans burn oil even when brand new, but now I realize the European ones aren't as likely to have that issue because it's a different engine altogether.
You definitely don’t need to reply to each comment…or even most. It’s kind of added stress. It’s nice to just watch you.

In Seattle there’s a nice little Laundromat in Wedgewood, about 90th. Next door is a nice Coffee Shop
Be a bit more selective. Don't lose your joy Scott. Don't want to see you stressed. X
Tacoma, one of my favorite hedge plants, and beautiful small town in Australia
Never heard that it is a plant
@@StaticCamperVan It has a "trumpet flower"
Love's in Fife is good for propane. Chester's Chicken too. Or you can get a burger across 99 or Pacific Highway at Pick-Quick Drive In. Point Defiance is a favorite park. McLendon's is a great store especially for Plumbing parts. Lots of hard to find items other stores just don't carry. Went there a lot during 40 years of construction...
@static campervan try the marinas and brownspoint beautiful
10:25 just for reference, the "Gerolsteiner Sprudel 0,75 l" costs 0,79€ in germany, which is very expensive for water though.
Thanks for sharing the vedeo we raised our family in Gig Harbor. Let out there for 38 years. We're on this side of the bridge. Now fact we will be going right past the area. You did your laundry. I have medical doctors today. Look to see if we see you.
Decisions, decisions..... coffee... breakfast.... propane.....😁😁😁😅
I bought a bag of glazed shrimp with walnuts at Trader Joe's. Yum
Born & raised in San Diego….it is sad how it is there now. Unaffordable. Parking a nightmare….but I am overdue to see family & friends.
Thanks!
Thanks so much Brian
For 11 years I've been trying to find the best balance between having enough clothes and bedding to prolong laundry (and to satisfy my desire for variety), and having enough space for other things. I think I have it worked out now. Maybe. Oh, and I keep my dirty things in a former scuba gear duffle with mesh panels (for drainage of wet gear). The ventilation seems to keep the clothes from fermenting like they would in a solid bag.
Though now in Puyallup, I lived in Hilltop area for a long time and knew the other side of sixth of the laundromat and west on sixth the most
As to your comments: Totally understandable, no worries.
Enjoy your travelogs 🙂
propane is measured in pounds, not gallons.....and its important only to fill 80% to allow for expansion...regards
But they charge you by the gallon. And expansion isn't much of a problem if you're actually using the fuel instead of storing it.
The gas engines do share the same block but yes they are very different
They need a reply all button😊
