We survived a winter snow storm for 12 days living in our camper van alone in the mountains. Now, we're no strangers to RV life in the most intense winters and blizzards. Best way to keep mice out is peppermint oil,you can use cotton balls soak them put around vehicle inside n outside

I love love love watching your videos. The magic and love between you two just lift my spirits to no ends! When my husband was alive, we did a lot of tent camping, but we were miles away from anyone, whether in the desert or in the forest, always in away from everyone. I would prep food and pack it in the ice chest before leaving home, pocket dinners were a favorite for supper. Bacon, fried taters, eggs, & coffee cooking on the campfire was tradition. Thank you for bringing back so many wonderful memories of our adventures. Although we did do hiking, we had dirt bikes to go exploring further out away. My husband has been gone for almost 15 years, my body and health has deteriorated so badly that I can't even go up to our favorite mountains to camp or fish. So I live through your videos and all your adventures. I still find it funny that so many Snowbirds come to our deserts to runaway from the snow, but there you two are, running TO the snow. Now, one other thing I need to know, Tonya, where do you get your gift for making every place you are into a very sweet, homey, and comfortable space? I have no decorating talent, but you are AMAZING at it. You two stay happy. Have more fun with all your adventures. And may God continue to Bless and Protect you ALWAYS!

My husband and I are looking forward to his retirement so we can travel. I want 4 seasons . I have been stuck in Florida and I am not a fan of hot and humid for most of the year. LOL I would love those days in the snow. I use to take my camper and head to the mountains before a snow storm. It was small but for me it was perfect. As long as you can stay warm and have plenty of supplies.....all is good. Hubby would not agree. He gets cold in Florida.
I know that my husband wouldn't do it, or my best friend's husband. But, my bestie and I would and have always wanted to go winter camping. We just talked about it this past weekend. I think we are going to try this weekend. But, in my backyard, close enough to my house, just in case before we actually decide to venture out somewhere.

I’m so interested to know where Bailey and Brady were when you guys tented, especially the time when it wasn’t near Desert Snow. Or did you not have them yet? If you did have them was it easy to get back to check on them? I’m not asking as any sort of judgement. Not at all. I have two cats of my own and I am just trying to imagine how I could tent with them lol or with them nearby. I can’t imagine it working out for me. I can remember when I was a kid and we had heavy snowfalls with 12 “ on the cars and ground, roadblocks for shedders , barrels for fires to keep parents warm while kids sled down the roads, and a neighbor that invited us in for hot chocolate and Krispy Kreme donuts! School was OUT for several weeks! Paradise!

I recently discovered your channel and you are now my favorite TH-cam couple! I also love your cooking lessons. We always ate very well when we would tent camp with our boys. I have a mean Teriyaki chicken recipe that was given to me by a local when we were stationed in Hawaii. It’s done over hot coals. It can stay in the refrigerator for days marinating. If you want it let me know.

Hello Tonya! You guys have to keep that fire going all nite long, luckily you have really good sleeping bags. I didn't notice if you guys had blow up mats to sleep on, but if not you should get a blow up mattress or thinner blow up mats to sleep on, it keeps you off the ground, which is good for your back..but also keeps you much warmer. Sleeping on the cold ground, can give you a stiff back and bring your body temp down. Brrr!🥶 that's the worst! waking up with a sore back and feeling super cold and damp. Also putting a thin rug down or a big blanket to walk on keeps you warmer, and helps to keep the moisture to a minimum. Makes for a much more enjoyable winter camp out. And lastly, I like to cook on the wood stove, so your not freezing while your cooking. Your Dutch oven would work perfectly on the top of the wood stove. I love glamping. I used to think, what kind of camping is this? That's not camping! That's not roughing it! Lol. I am not in my 20's and 30's anymore. I've done plenty of roughing it! Now I LOVE winter camping/glamping...Its my fave, now. Why not enjoy it? It's like like home a way from home. It's nice to cuddle up, watch a movie by the fire, it can be very romantic to. It was fun to see you guys camping out, but I was thinking, where are Brady and Bailey? Maybe I didnt see them.😻 Thanks for another great video. Your my favorite you tube couple , i love to live a little vicariously through you.

I would really like a small camper. I love camping. Like, the actual camping part. I do not enjoy making and breaking camp. Even with lightweight gear it's still hard because my body is just not fit for it anymore. But man the peace of closing my eyes to the sounds of nighttime and the wind blowing in the tent, even the allergies are worth it 😅

i am a veggie. one trick if you want to add vegetables to your dinner and want a clean pot ----- get a steam basket and put it in a pot and steam cauliflower, broccoli, and a sweet potato. it will cook in half an hourn--kale takes longer but tastes great steamed. (i always poach my fish as well --- easy to clean up and great if you can broil for about five minutes to crisp the top skin after dumping the poach water. i didn't see an oven though.)
