Regarding #4, the litter box, it's always a good idea to have multiple litter boxes for multiple cats. Also, if your cat is large, the litter box may be too small for the cat to move around in.
@@bigcat618 We tried natural cat litter, will never go back. Pee turns rock hard and does not break up. We've asked about the smell and been told there isn't any. People that will tell us the truth. Haven't had to dump the litter because of of breaking up. Sustainably Yours. We discovered it on Grove, which we belong to. Amazon has it. Works for the rabbit too.
They don't necessarily think they're the boss they just can't understand why we don't understand them lol. They do genuinely love their owners and they see us with great respect I think
Yeah we are pretty simple. They have us down to we eat, we pet, we play, we playfight, we feed, we use the bathroom, we walk out of doors and disappear, annnnnd we sleep. And we bring bags of groceries in the house, we shower, etc. etc. Including them into all of that sometimes means ignoring them and I know they think like, I know they see and hear me lol What is this strange word "No"
One of my cats wakes me up in the morning by licking my hair or gently using her paw on my lips to signal that it's time for them to eat. I don't see an issue with it really. She's not aggressive and if it's too early I'll just shoo her away and she'll come back in about 30min!lol!
My cat , when I tell him, "I love him!", he gives off a stunned expression. He then wants to be on his own for about 5 minutes and then he'll come back to me. This is strange!
My cats and I share being the boss. (Depending on the situation) NEVER hit any pet. This only makes them terrified of you. There are more humane ways to discipline a pet - repetitive talking in a firm (not yelling) voice. Saying a firm no. Animals are intelligent and get to know what is right from wrong, without the need for physical discipline.
Another thing. You defend yourself no matter what. You do not back off from the cat as it will bully you. If it goes full on attack you wack it back and throw it outside. It learns very quickly not to fuck about with you and respects you. Don't believe any other rubbish that you have to pussy foot around and allow it to attack you. You don't let anyone attack you and do nothing full stop. Win lose or draw you have a go. Not cower down as that is an invitation to be bullied
You sound like you're mixing in your experiences with humans with cats (referring the bullying)..a bit melodramatic. You defend yourself no matter what? It's not a bear attack. I've never had a cat challenge me to the degree that I'd need a dramatic response like you're alluding to and I've taken in numerous feral cats over the years, some of them pretty large Toms. There are occasions when clipping nails that they don't like it and complain and try to get away and I have to firmly 'strong-arm' them (I'm not a small guy) until they realize who is in control. If you do have a bad enough situation where you need to respond with a smack, you don't hit them in the head and you certainly don't need to use a lot of force as you're a lot bigger than them. Oftentimes, the idea of a small smack response to the meaty part of their haunches gets the message through. But, as they said here, directing attention away from confrontation is a better, long-term way to handle these situations with cats. It's more effective. They aren't human. You usually deal with humans in a different manner. I don't agree with throwing them outside either as a lot of irresponsible cat owners let their cats roam all over the neighborhood. Worse yet, a number of them don't even neuter the cats they supposedly care for so the issues of them going outside are compounded. It's better to put them in a room timeout for a bit if things have to cool off.
@@antoninop.1411 well I don't retract my statement you defend yourself period if you have any self respect. Cats can be very violent even to a human. You mentioned size and that has nothing to do with it. If you pussy foot with a confrontational cat or any animal you will be the one coming worse off. I don't agree with your approach to any of this and I don't live my life to coexist with political correctness which is what this pussy footing around is. The cat will learn very quickly to pack it up and respect you. Once defend yourself. By rewarding it with play time it learns that it gets what it wants by bullying
Maybe your cat/s haven't been brought up very well (or maybe I've been incredibly lucky), but the 4 cats I've had have never been aggressive (well, one used to have fights with the neighbour's cat, but with us she was fine).
I can't believe my fluffy overlord allowed me to watch this.
But seriously, he's cool.
our cats might be related. He calls himself my overlord.
I'm sitting out on the porch. Just so our cat can get some yard time.
Im 6ft. 1in. 200 pounds and my 7pound cats in charge
I'll have two cats in the future
My cat taps me on the leg when she wants something then takes me to what she wants
All ''signs'' point to my cats being happy and knowing I'm the boss.

Plus checking with the vet to rule out a UTI.

My cat is the boss, I would not have it any other way 😼
My cat IS the boss of me , she rules the house , and knows it .

Sounds to me like he has "commitment issues"! lol
But seriously, they all have their own little personalities; likes, dislikes, quirks, etc.
I’m thinking I need to start chipping in with the bills…
My cat turned it off.
This guy's accent is so interesting. I can't place it.
Irish.
My cat can’t meow, never been able to . Opens his mouth and nothing comes out. So I just imitate it back to him.
I’m not going follow any of this advice, but thank you! I love my babies!! Cat boss, caaaat boosss, nothing but a little cat 🐈 boss!!
My cat has learned that biting and scratching will only work to make mamma 😡
