  • Hello lovely people!
Today, I'm sharing the fourth block in the slow stitch project that I'm making for myself. This is the same block that I used in my tutorial, so if you think you've seen this before, you have! But, this time, it's finished. I used some of my grandma's feed sack fabric in this project and little sentimental bits and pieces.
    Take care everybody!

Thank you, Karen! I never thought of that, but they do sort of look like the old time samplers. Thank you for sharing that with me! xo

such a precious slow stitch block, I love the all the fabrics, the dogwood painting is lovely. So much inspiration too! Always love your videos, sometimes I don't leave a note, but please know you are a joy to watch. Hope your eye is doing better too.

Thank you so much. That is so nice of you to say. My left eye is doing much better, but, wouldn't you know it, the right one did the same thing on Friday!! At least I know it will get somewhat better, but as of right now, I've got lots of floaty things and weird lights going on in my vision. Thank you so very much for the well wishes. So appreciated. Tfw! xo

Lovely work! This gives me ideas. I have an old quilt that my husband's grandmother made and it's falling apart. I might be able to salvage some of it and use it in something like this as the base piece to embellish. It's just been tucked away in my sewing room for years because I didn't know what to do with it.

Beautiful! And what a lovely way to keep loved ones in sight so to speak. I am sure they are proud to be on display like this 😉
Can’t wait for this COVID to end so I can go to the thrift store again and look for new supplies, fabrics and buttons and such, now that you got me into this slow stitching. Currently working on a pouch and it’s turning out quite pretty if I do say so myself 😊
Hope your ribs, eye and the rest of you are doing alright. And that you stay safe, and calm (with the craziness you over there are going through besides the whole pandemic thing, I am holding my breath things won’t get any crazier). Say hi to the hubby and those four legged beasts of yours 😉❤️

Thank you! I am so excited that you're working on a slow stitch pouch! You've got my email address, if you don't mind, send me a photo of it when you finish. I'd LOVE to see it!! Ribs are healed up pretty much completely, left eye is on the mend . . . right eye just did the same thing on Friday! Omg. And yes, it is NUTS here, right now. Totally nuts. One of the four-legged beasts is sitting right next to me chewing (quite loudly) on his chew thingie. He says, hello back. We're about to go for a walk. Take care! xo

Oh, thank you, Gina! I have a video up on how to get started slow stitching. It takes some of the intimidation out of the whole thing. I hope you give it a try. It's very meditative and it is a neat way to show case a special fabric or a special pin or something. You know, those things that'll just sit around gathering dust otherwise. :-) lol Take care! xo

@@sparrowhawkerdesigns Thank you Lauretta. I am watching it as we speak! I am so excited to have a way to save some of my favorite pieces of fabric. I am not fortunate enough to have any from Grannies or my moms but will make due with what I have hoarded lol. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain how to do it! Hugs

Do you want one long video, edited down or can I just work on it here and there? Because I've got this fancy shmancy editing software, and I can't figure out how to use it, yet!!! :-) So, I'd be more likely to just come on a little every day, than one video edited down. Let me know. Take care. xo
