Good caliper paint actually holds up pretty well! So chemically the caliper paint will hold well for years. If you get a lot of rocks in your area, the paint might chip due to that. If you want both chemical resistance AND a thick tough paint resistant to chips, there is a 2K caliper paint but its like $30 a can vs $10. You can find it here: amzn.to/3AGzveo I didn't go for powder coat because I think the heat resistance only goes up to 500F which I was weary if it could withstand track temps. There might be special powders capable of higher heats though but obviously this option is the most $$$. Overall I think it looks amazing for $10 lol and worst case, I can always do powder coat or any other option if anything in the future.
I don’t live near rocks it’s pretty much all pavement. But thanks for the reply this gives me a little bit more comfort knowing it’ll last. Can you provide me with a link for the brembo sticker?
@@Owensti np. check out the description on the video. Brembo sticker size can vary by which brembo you have but on my car I think it was about 4" for the front and about 1.5" for the rear. Thanks!
I left it at its stock settings which I think is 0.8" drop. Maybe the suspension settled since then or the new wheels/tires make it look lower lol. Thanks for following the channel to notice!
Those wheels are dope too. Gold and blue look so good.
Thanks! I love them too! APEX Wheels check em out! th-cam.com/video/yixdPUHguPw/w-d-xo.html
Just subbed, really like your videos
Thanks!
I am glad you did this video because i need to do this. Were did you get the brembo decals
Got them from eBay make sure you measure your original decals to get the right size (I believe its like almost 4" front and 1.5" rear): ebay.us/Rhkucf
Wanting to do this on my 06 Sti. I want to see how they hold up over time. Debating wether to do this or just get the powder coated.

Great job with the mask. Seen too many people use spray paint without a mask.
Thanks! Yeah I don't mess around with VOCs!
How are you liking the Ohlins suspension? Looks like you dropped it down a tad more in the front?

Did you ever consider putting a ceramic coat so it’s easier to clean?
I didn't because I plan on taking the car to the track and don't think the ceramic coating would be able to take the brake temps
Looks like the wheels and brakes are worth more than the car.
😆😆😆
