Obsession is one of my top 5 albums of all time, any genre. I'm 55 years old and I am a professional sound engineer and entertainment lawyer. I've heard a lot of songs and seen a lot of performances. This album is a masterpiece.
I gotta say that you're right on why you skipped from 1st album to 6th album LOL. It is really satisfying listening to how they refined their abilities. In each album, you will clearly see and hear how they improve so much, like all of them. And the diverse and open sound they are making.
Just imagine d different vibes pf this. Album! Exo songs will never get you bored! They have everything! Its literally hard to choose which one u like! Thank you for this!

EXO voice has soul in it.. that's why as a rnb listener.. i can call exo as one of the best kpop group that really really good in rnb songs.. maybe that's why they have a lot ot rnb song.. exo member that has a pure soul vocal is D.O. aka Doh Kyungsoo
For me my top 3 are The War, Obsession and Exodus, the whole discography is excellent but those 3 are simply to my taste in a 1000%. Universe is my favorite from winter albums.
DON’T MESS UP MY TEMPO, EX’ACT and UNIVERSE are my favourites I think. But honestly all of their albums are amazing. 🤷🏼♀️ As for favourite track off ‘The War’ , probably _What U do?_ . It’s so happy. ^^

The War: Power of Music is still my alltime fave from EXO (its actually together with Pearl Jams Ten and Madonnas Ray of Light the third album i would choose, if i had to choose three albums to which i had to listen to for the rest of my life!! kinda fave^^) but DMUMT and Obsession are battling it out for the second place^^
