The second album is Grey Suit (2022). He was inspired by the book Momo. The theme of this album is time and it was his comeback after getting back from the military. "The world is that beautiful and time moves so fast, but I’m the only one stuck in this moment. The time I’m living in now is black and white, but that world is colorful."
Dem Jointz and exo's voices together are huge blessing in the industry for me. His songs are jusd ahahjdkakfbakka i love love love omg. Anyways i get what you mean. Suho and Xiumin are criminally underrated. And only recently has Kai been able to shine in the group as a vocalist. I never liked his rapping, he worked on his range so much and his first 2 albums are no skip masterpieces. Their album that dropped today did a great job at letting other members shine and I’m so happy. All these boys are too skilled individually to be overlooked.
EXO discography and vocals are the biggest flex of EXOLs. The only 2 things that i consider SM's redeeming values are creating EXO and giving EXO a top tier discography.
I'm pretty sure (if I recall my lore correctly...) Jekyll is actually supposed to be X-EXO singing to/about EXO, hence why it has that creepy nightmare feeling. It's okay, i've been an exol for awhile now and even i only recently like jekyll. They've performed it live on their last group concert but kai's solo performance of that song on his solo concert is what finally drove it home for me. The chorus was also my problem but idk how kai did it but his performance truly made me think "alright, i understand this song now, i like it". That's a whole 3 years😂. It might grow on you, it might not. It's just a matter of preference i guess. Also i'm a big butterfly effect stan! So happy to see you like that one a lot too. Such a beautiful song. Jekyll is really interesting cause we have both EXO and X-EXO in a power battle that’s why they say stuff like “break out” “why you push me away, I’m already in” like meaning I have power over you. For EXO albums the concept is really important because its not only the title track, they carry the concept throughout the entire album

Obsession was a great record! Out of all the songs, I had Groove, Trouble, Obsession and Butterfly Effect on the most! Just like you, can't explain what it is about Butterfly Effect but that's my favorite. Groove is what I call the vacation getaway song. Makes you feel like you're on some tropical island.

Jekyll also was not my favorite it kinda like reminded me of how I first heard Wolf. The way the song sounds was not something I was used to. But eventually it grew on me but it is still not my favorite. In this album Ya Ya Ya and Butterfly Effect are my faves.

holy fucking shit i just understood what jekyll is about????? its about a person fighting the other person in their head and thats why the chorus got one person shouting saying "break out! youre wriggling like a nightmare in me" and the other replied saying "why are u pushing me away, im already in you" AND THATS LITERALLY THE CONCEPT OF THE ALBUM, EXO AND X-EXO (alter ego) and if u know what jekyll means (a person with two very different sides to their personality, one good and the other evil) its literally so obvious

Jekyll also was not my favorite it kinda like reminded me of how I first heard Wolf. The way the song sounds was not something I was used to. But eventually it grew on me but it is still not my favorite.
In this album Ya Ya Ya and Butterfly Effect are my faves.
