How To Get From LAX Airport to Venice Beach/Santa Monica for $1.25

  • If you have luggage or prefer to take the free shuttle to the bus stop look for the shuttle that says City Bus Center Employee Lot South. Then take the 3 bus to Venice or Santa Monica.
Or you can take the free LAXit shuttle to the uber/Lyft area and then walk to the 3 Bus Stop.
In this video I took the Santa Monica bus number 3 to Rose Ave and then walked 1 mile to the beach.
Also, if you want to take a second bus so you don't have to walk from Rose to the beach you could get off at Washington Blvd and then take the Culver City Bus #1 that goes all the way to the beach, 1 block from the Venice Pier.

@@-ethan- The Employee Lot South shuttle stops at the City Bus Center, to my knowledge. It's also a short walk from Economy Parking, so you can take that shuttle if you have to wait a while.

I miss flying into LAX. last few times, i went straight to rent a car. Then do the pch north to the 101 and after about 4hrs north is my beloved hometown of Pismo Beach! I grew up two blocks from the Pismo pier in the 80's . my mom and her boyfriend were waiters, our rent was $100 a month for a duplex. we just used to surf every day! we had a vw bus that we'd go up and down the coast camping and looking for the best waves. Back then Pismo was like a mini Venice beach in-the-making! Thanks for this vid, makes me want to fly back! California coast is awesome.

If you don't want to walk a half mile to the bus, you can do the train route for $1.75, you can take the free shuttle from LAX to the Green Line Train, transfer to Blue Line, transfer to Expo Line to Santa Monica.

It's like they are profiting from visitors at the airport on purpose.
In other countries they make it easier as they don't want people hanging around the airports, and want them to be able to easily access the city.

LA folded to special interests by not allowing the Metro Rail go into LAX. Now they are finally getting a people mover from LAX but you will still need to take two more Metro lines after the people mover to get to downtown. That why the residents here consider LA a third world city. Not a good area for him to get off the bus. Hope he made it to the beach safely.
