- Scrappy Industries having fun
The 15-B was a very popular machine in the 1950's, as it was about the largest machine that could be conveniently hauled to job sites without disassembly. Disconnect lowboys were not common then, but the machine could be side loaded on a double drop trailer with the aid of some large timbers. They were usually transported cross tracked on the trailer, with flags hung on the ends of the tracks. The boom would normally be left on for transport, although a crane boom could be split.
Many 10-B's and 15-B's were purchased by contractors as convertibles, with crane boom, backhoe, and shovel fronts. There are several videos of the conversion process on TH-cam.

Hey Scrappy Sam, you need to show Chris how to run his… 🤷🏻♂️🤔👍
We like that D9-H you and Matt just took out there, the BIGGEST most workable Dozer out there now. ✅
Soil conditions at Brownsville are near perfect for dragline work, especially for a light, 1/2-yard bucket on the 15-B. I haven't seen it's bigger brother, the 38-B dragline in operation for some time at this show. Do you know what the status is on that machine? Thanks again for sharing your video.
Last I heard, the 38-B's owner has health problems. A shame, because he's an excellent operator. One of my first YT videos was onboard his 22-B dragline, folks said they learned to operate from that video. "Bucyrus Erie 22B dragline onboard". The 38-B is a nice machine, ran well, but smoked like crazy. You know how Brownsville is, machines change owners frequently, and an operator may not be the owner.
@@SteamCranethere was plans to get the 38B running at the summer show, but we ran out of time due to other things
Is that you Sam from Scrappy Industries running this machine?
Yes. You can have a lot of fun and learn something watching his channel.
I’m curious on what size bucket you’re using ?
9:07 - Hendrix 1/2 yd sieve.
