@@SirKolass Game development is slow. It just feels like it's taking a while because of how transparent development is. Normally you don't even hear about a game until it's been in development for at least a couple years
mmm i understand where you are a coming from, it feels like they should have more, however the fact its been 8 months and they've improved graphics and added quite a lot of mechanics is actually really good. Games take years to develop, average about 3-5, you usually just don't hear about them until they are almost done. Not to mention they have had to remake almost everything because of the new engine

It's slow because they want to work at a hundred things at the same time. What they did here should take no more than a month. I've been playing their test branch this whole time, it's been the same for months, now after release, it's still the exact same but with a few new minimal things. The reality is that the dev team is a mess, and it's no wonder since their boss is the most shtty garbage toxic person ever.
@@SirKolass Adding a new animal, two new mechanics that both involve editing all the current animals, updating the map, and adding a bunch of new plants should only take a month? That's not how game development works. And of course they're doing a bunch of thing at once, that's the whole point of having a team with multiple positions. For example, if they're programming the last detail of the update, why have the animators sit around when they can start work on a future animal?
The costal update is really great, the only problem with it is: as long as there are this little drinkwater sources near the coast, most of it will not be played.

I recommend watching tutorials in evrima it's gonna be hard to adjust to since alot of mechanics I have experienced it and let me tell you dying 50 times in a single session isn't fun
Just tried out the new updates this morning, loving it so far, this AI thing is really helping the most in my opinion. I don't have to deal with constant savage players killing me before I even reach 1% growth :D
Same, even though some of them are sparse, I ate like 3 compy’s as a baby Utah the other day. Was convenient since they suck early on. I do hope compys end up playable even if it is more of a joke, just nice to have play style options.

The isle pulls at my heart strings in a weird way. It has the realism and gameplay you wish other more realistic (in terms of setting) dino survivor games had, yet the nostalgic sci-fi setting you wish were a Jurassic park game.
Love the steady progression the Isle has been receiving, especially during this dreadful time of COVID. Looking forward to more content from my favorite Dinosaur developing team!... ... But whatever you do, don't give the Raptors that creepy 'clever girl' grin from Jurassic Park. If and when humans are released, that will be the *one* thing that'll scare me beyond the point of saving!
I've been very critical of y'all for chasing new functions and features, the rebuilds and start overs rather than just making the best out of what you have - This update is EXACTLY direction I've been hoping you'd move towards! You're bringing back the functions we were already used to, but polished and better! More and improved AI! Make the game a better and more fun Dino Sim rather than a massive empty wasteland of a framework for something cool years from now. Very excited for this update; looking forward to trying it out!

This is excellent with the ability to breed with your own species and forced to compete with other species for certain resources herbivore players won’t have to run around in multi species gangs and ruin the game. It will add some realism to the game.

They said that now that the dino base models where in the creation kit they could pump out more of em. Hope to see many new dinos this year. And pls dont focus on the human part.. its complicated and will not work imo

This game became a glorified tech demo. It's been on eternal development not moving in ANY direction since it launched, almost 5 years ago. The only reason this game became a thing is thanks to the artists making the dinosaur models. Every other aspect is run by incompetent people. Hope this gets purchased by a big studio for it to finally be the dino game we deserve
Over 8 fucking months for a single update that introduces an extremely grating, frustrating diet system and one single dinosaur. Oh, and still bugs and FPS issues galore, from what I'm seeing with the latest update. Sorry, but not impressed.
I mean the trailer is cool and all, but after youve broken nearly every promise (2 dinos a month, regular updates...) you made, I don't need a trailer or some bullshit "dev updates" - I need actual content and maybe a real update - the last one was months ago and it wasn't better before that. I know younger players don't know how often projects like these end in a standstill or turn out to be a just a cash grab, but I do.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. This is the closest you could get to being in the Mesozoic period and I love every second of it! I LOVE all the feathered Theropods (except the Dromeosaurs..? what’s with the Jurassic Park Raptors?) but other than that, this is truly a work of art and a Paleontologists’ dream come true.
