In 1994, Booker T & the MG's had been touring with Neil Young and had a new album out, "That's the Way it Should Be." I cracked Steve Cropper up when I started a question with the statement that they had played with "stacks" of people -- or "Stax of people." But he also gave me some straight answers to subjects like having a "legendary" status, an "all for one and one for all" attitude toward making music and about being in the Hall of Fame. Cropper had a great laugh.
