I really appreciate this video. I just couldn’t comprehend what was holding that battery into the watch, and I didn’t even see that tiny screw! Getting the screw back in place was a bit of a challenge, but I got her there. BTW, you might consider changing your thumbnail. My watch doesn’t look like yours on the front, but it certainly does on the inside, so focusing on the battery of the movement in your thumbnail, I think will draw more viewers. Thanks, Scott
That was very helpful! I noticed that I had to reset the chrono hand back to 12 before I put the battery back in, otherwise it would reset back to where it was sitting at the time of the battery replacement. Also I was able to press the back back on with a very firm push. Just in case someone was looking at replaceing the battery and didn't have a press.
This is a very "straight to the point" presentation on how most of the batteries in the Intelligence Quartz series are changed. For me there are a couple of important caveats that in addition to what you mentioned; 1) Do not lose that little screw that holds down the battery 2) Wear latex gloves or finger protectors when handling the battery or touching anything inside the case. The cleaner the battery and movement, the longer your battery will last. And 3) Don't try to force the caseback on or otherwise try to "hack" it into place. Get the case press and practice on a cheaper watch if you can. I know these things from costly experience. I also know that I have never been charged more than 15 bucks for a battery replacement from a qualified jeweler. So if you are in any doubt at all about your skills....
Wher do you get the tool used to pry up the back of the watch? Looks like it has a soft short yellow handle that fits in the palm of your hand and then the flat metal portions to pry off the back of the watch. Where do I get one of these. Thanks so much, Scottie
Awesome video! My Yacht Racer arrives Friday with a dead battery. Planning to take it to my small town jeweler to have it replaced. It seems when I try to do stuff like this I just scratch them to hell...
I just noticed that your main second hand doesn't move with the chronograph hand when operating, both mine do move..hmmm must be a slightly different model than the T2N700's
Dear sir, I have yacht racer kept in box with working conditions from last 4 years not uses frequently except occasion, but know it's stopped working, so i want to know it's require battery replacement only or else need servicing also and plz tell how long battery works ? Love from India.
What a birch to get the dam plastic piece off ! I was afraid to break it. The battery comes out from the negative side You can gently bend it and get it out without breaking this little plastic piece Thanks for the video

I use rodico putty to control the little screw, a watchmaker taught me that - they jump more easily with tweezers 😂
Thanks for the link for the watch press. Just ordered one from Amazon using your link.
Thank you!
Do you know which size screw it is?

I replaced the battery in the same way, but the clock does not want to work, the second hand does not move

I have this watch in a black dial and one in a white dial that has a compass complication
Why is the seconds hand not moving after putting in a new battery?
I looked closely. Looked like it was running afterwards.

Thanks dude.
You are not a professional watch technician right ?
Definitely not!......🙂
You should upload a tutorial on how to set the calendar. Not that straightforward as in other simple watches :)
