I have to admit I find it very interesting. It's busy, but I like it, it could be a good conversation starter, especially if you have the Chrono running
It's busy as stated, but in a very neat/cool way. The second time zone is a bonus for fun 😊. I'm always a sucker for a Timex bargain. May be looking for one at the Timex outlet out here. Very nice review, appreciate the intelligent quartz information!!
I agree. I like the busy kind of complicated dial on this one. I find watches like this are kind of fun to go through the learning process. The other Timex I like is the linear chronograph. Also saw a Todd Snyder Iron Man today on Insta that looks cool. Lots of cool ones out there👍👍
Great review brother. I have this one, and several other models of the flyback, One is the TX model very similar to this one but with a mechanical compass as well.
awesome video! thanks for making it. I've been considering buying this piece for... probably not as long as I should have, and it cleared up some questions for me, such as the exact case size, and how the flyback mechanism actually functions. (I'm used to Seiko's meca-quartz where the second hand instantly "flies back" to the starting position, rather than sweep back, so that's something I'll have to keep in mind. I've been spoiled). outside of the weekender I've never been a fan of Timex, due to legibility issues and my refusal to see an optometrist. everything on them - most notably the date window - just seems toonsmall. 42mm is usually my maximum case size, but I think this might be a happy medium. my only question is - and this is an issue with a LOT of quartz watches - at times it appeared that the running seconds hand did appear to line up with... anything at all, really. is that the product of the camera angle, or an actual issue? edited: grammar.
Hi Sean, unfortunately with the second hand it was a little off on mine. Not sure if that's always going to be the case but something to consider. Thanks:)
I had one of these for about a week. I never used it, immediately flipped it to help pay for a Citizen Nighthawk. But part of me still wishes I could have found a way to keep it.
I love mine, Bob. Slightly disappointed that you omitted to mention the retrograde operation of the subdials, however another great review. Looking forward to your Seiko presentation ... the dial is reminiscent of the 'Snowflake.'
Hey Brian! You're so right and I even had that in my notes and completely forgot to mention it. Oops:) The Seiko is excellent, especially when it comes to the dial. Definitely a more affordable alternative to the Snowflake GS. Have a great weekend!
Excellent review. To me legibility seems good for a chronograph with the light hands on the dark dial. If you want anything better a chronograph may not be for you.
When these were introduced they retailed for $120 - $200 and they were ripoff the the TX watches (german division) that cost $600/ea. Anything under $100 is a STEAL because they would be likely losing money at that price ... I love them because they display as analog chronographs with indiglo (already those two features make them unique), driven by digital / quartz computation, and have lots of quirky motors and features and look cool.
Great video, Bob, as usual. I like how you explained what "Intelligent" means in this particular case. I would even suggest thinking about it this way. The phrase Timex Intelligent Quartz should have an emphasis on TIMEX INTELLIGENT Quartz rather than on Timex INTELLIGENT QUARTZ. We were all confused by thinking that Timex has invented a new INTELLIGENT QUARTZ movement, while it is not quite the case.
That's a good way of putting it. Yes it was a little confusing at first for me too. Still some pretty cool watches in the line though. Thanks and have a great weekend:)
I bought this watch on last sunday! I’m super happy this flyback will be my first Timex!! I follow you on Insta aswell! Maybe you have seen me @tobbensvensson 😉😉Thanks for this video, I learned a lot!!👏🏻😍
Out of all the watch brands I own, this one has always gotten the most compliments.
I love how he still uses white gloves on a $65-120 watch. Very well done video and review!
I have to admit I find it very interesting. It's busy, but I like it, it could be a good conversation starter, especially if you have the Chrono running
It certainly is busy. I wouldn't want all my watches this busy but it's definitely a fun one. Thanks:)
Thanks, Timex is doing good things lately.. 👍👍
For sure. This one's been around awhile but there's some really cool new ones out and I'm sure more to come. Thanks Steven 👊

Adequate review. Thank you for posting. I am a collector and this was the best video on this niche watch
Adequate is my aim so thanks. Kidding, but thanks for commenting. Really quite a neat watch for the cost.

They're really cool watches. Thanks!
Awesome video Bob! The flyback chronograph looks great 👌🏼
Thanks Adrian! Pretty neat watch for the cost for sure👍👍

Very interesting watch. Timex has a lot of cool things going on. I like their Waterbury Traditional Chronographs.
Yes they look really cool too. Thanks Christian!
Very unique looking watch. Great review !
Thanks Jared! Kind of a fun one:)

The Nighthawk is great. Citizen has alot of cool watches.
I would’ve preferred it without the running seconds hand. Just leave the chrono seconds hand.
Great video of the Timex. 👍🏻
Thanks Jeremy!👊
I love the play on words there. Nice features for the money. Everyone has to like Timex. Great review!!
Thanks Scott! Definitely some fun watches out the from Timex. Have a great weekend:)

I agree. It's not so bad. Thanks.
I have one of those. The green dial version with grey markers and yellow seconds hand. It is more legible. Great vid.
Cool! Yeah I think this might be one of the least legible of them all but really liked the colors. Thanks:)
Def a cool piece, and congrats on the Seiko !
Thanks man! Yeah that Seiko is a beauty👍👍

GREAT REVIEW! love the cocktail time . the timex is cool just to much going on. lol
Thanks Chris! Long the Cocktail time too. Yeah the Timex is a busy one for sure:)

Limited to 7000? 😂😂😂 now that’s so limited 😅 by the way Great video as always. Cool cocktail, I like the dial the most. Timex is fun 😎👍
I know! 7000 is a little crazy for limited. Timex are fun for sure👊
All you need in 1:09
65 to 120$? I am finding them betwenn 216 and 300$ on amazon?
Made this video quite awhile back. Prices are always changing. Didn't realize they went up so much.
Is it an old watch that is out of production?
@@rudyberkvens-be Possible but not sure.
Had this watch. It was such a joy to use. Lost it. Bought anotherone.
I ended up giving mine to my son but I'd love another someday.

Quartz 👎
Quartz isn't a bad thing. lol
