  • I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK WITH AN AUTOCRANE AND A SERVICE BODY/ FLATBED. IT RAN GREAT BUT THE AIR TANKS LEAKS. I REPLACED THEM. SOLD THE CRANE OFF THE TRUCK TO RECOUP SOME DOUGH. IT HAD AN INTERMITTENT LOW / DEAD BATTERY. I TRACKED IT DOWN AND THEN SOLD THE TRUCK. THE BUYER DIDNT WANT THE SERVICE BODY OR ANY OF THE ADD ONS. SO REMOVED ALL OF THEM. I ADDED SOME TEMPORARY LIGHTS AND MUD FLAPS. NOW IT IS READY TO BE PICKED UP.

    When you tire of physical work you could open a training facility/school. You know copious amounts about all these engines and what the problems are and how to repair it. I'm an old dude and I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from them. Keep up the good work!

    If you ever get a 1999/ 2000 Cummins ISC 8.3
    I'd like to see how to remove and install the fuel pump.
    And a oil cooler gasket.

    Great video thanks brother. Sold before you get it home is a great day. Got a lot of work to do and it's getting colder every day. This rain is something else also. I think you have just what you need in the travel box. Keep up the great work see you in the next video thanks again brother.

      i could use a few more things in that travel box. this rain is really slowing me down. the trucks i need to work on are too big to get into the shop. so all the work has to be done outside.....weather permitting.

    I have wanted one of these for a couple years now. They can have many issues or be a very nice rough riding truck that runs and runs. Some Utilities and Rails are decent on taking care of the fleet and some stink.

    Love/hate relationships with these trucks. Had a 2007? at work, man that truck had some power. Left me stranded on numerous occasions though. Got a 2017 Pete now, so choked up with emissions and too many gears it's a dog. Call me crazy with the autos I prefer old 4 speeds. The 6 speeds hunt gears on the highway, constant 6-5 5-6.

    • @dieseldoctor9294
      @dieseldoctor9294 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The vt365 is the same engine as the ford 6.0 power stroke, basically. I'm surprised the glow plugs and harnesses weren't burned up also!

  • @gosportjamie
    @gosportjamie 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It certainly looks like that glow plug relay got seriously hot and probably melted into the on position judging by that crack melted into the top of it. That will have been drawing a lot of power out of the batteries for sure. Definitely not a very parasitic parasitic draw...
