In case you cannot change from pixels to inches - try this: Procreate responded: It looks like your friend is using the Floating Keyboard. We have a known bug at the moment, where the unit in Drawing Guides cannot be changed when the floating keyboard is active. We have this logged for improvement with our team. Please let her know that if she tries reverting the keyboard to normal size before editing the Drawing Guides by doing the following: place two fingers on the floating keyboard, then spread her fingers apart to enlarge the keyboard back to full size, and then let go, she will be able to use the full-size keyboard and edit units in Edit Drawing Guides again. so, do an add text and change your floating keyboard to maximize. Excellent video delivered at the right pace for comprehension. One thing though, I found the snap as demonstrated didn’t work for me. A video showing the best way to set up and use the snap and magnetic functions would be appreciated. Cheers.
Wonderful! Why not offer a few rulers for sale? I’d be happy to pay for an mm ruler A3 size (420mm). I figure we could use it as a separate transparent layer on top of our work, a horizontal above and a and vertical one to the left. It would be extremely convenient for making book covers as they require a lot of measuring. Almost as good as the Photoshop rules that you can pull giding lines from.
@@procreatebasics I think we’re both misunderstanding each other haha. I was referring to the unit options (cm/inch/mm) when adjusting grid size on an already made canvas. They have gotten rid of those measuring units with the new update. We can only choose and measure with pixel and DPI now.
@@procreatebasics I just restarted my program. There must have been an error! Thank you for helping me sort this out. I was mad at the idea of them taking it away hah
When I click on the pixels to change the size of the grid in inches. It doesn’t give me that option. It just has pixels… any idea on how to get the option for mm, cm and inches? Thank tou
3rd section of the video wrench - canvas - turn on drawing guide select edit drawing guide click on the number next to grid size THAT is where you see how to change to a different measurment
@@procreatebasics yes I know. But when I click on the number next to the grid size it isn’t coming up either mm, cm, inches. It’s just giving me the numbers in the middle. Without the measurements of mm, cm, inches down the side like yours
there is no option to change grid size to 1" anymore, it says length 96, and the editable part is only the number (96) no option to choose whether in pixels or inch or etc. (this is for grid instruction video time at 3:05)
this is why i hate all computer devices mostly all the dam work just to do what could be done in five minutes with a regular ruler and this is why i feel wiser they get the more foolish they are. The Wise will become foolish and foolish will become wise.

So interesting. In other packages you can Copy Replicate or Array but I am sure you know that
I would assume for 00 scale, 1:76 you would set up the grid in 4mm increments initially then divide that up?

Did they get rid of the grid inch/cm/mm option?? All I’m able to do now in grid measurement after the update is pixels!
no, but there are no numbers on that grid, and this is just ONE method of dealing with it. :)
re-read this just now... when you first create a canvas is when you choose your measurement options.

@@sjtherese4078 If you tap on the px number in the canvas crop and resize, the panel that comes up sill has those choices.. Same on the drawing guide.

Tbh you kinda over complicated it for me, I just needed up until 3:40. Thanks tho I understand it better now
I do tend to over-simplify because most people appreciate it. I'm glad you were able to use the first 4 min for what tyou needed
@@procreatebasics It was a good video, no hate, definitely using this to help me print/ scale my designs for my leatherwork, thanks again!
Why do you have such a high number of layers i only have 89, what's up with that?
It depends on your memory on the iPad. I bought the one with the highest I could afford
Great thankyou
I thought each square was 1 inch. I was so wrong
It depends on the size of your canvas and the DPI
