    Just ordered the tiger pouch 🐯. Love you advice on motivation when you want to create vs. not feeling shame or guilt when you can’t or do not have that desire. June was rough for me too but sometimes we need time to process, heal, & reflect. Also, as a healthcare professional it is SO important to find professionals who listen to you and support you and your goals while providing treatment and giving options. For anyone reading, please don’t feel like you have to settle for someone who does listen or believe you! Keep looking, keep speaking out ❤️

    STEAM kid here (science, technology, engineering, ART and math) which is why I majored in industrial design when I went to design school. However, it was tough as I was one of only two "girls" in the program and the all male faculty and students were very hard on us and I left to work in the fashion industry.
    I also struggled with the clarinet in elementary school, much to my music teacher's dismay :)

    I understand living with chronic pain and I feel for you.
    I now have a good doctor who helps me manage my life. I’m 68 and it’s been a long road.
    Im allergic to all the opiate medications and that is my hill to climb.
    My ability to push on is all about self care. I rest when I need to. And I do this WITHOUT guilty feelings.
    I draw, paint, crochet, and read. However, some activities have been further distressed because I’m slowly going blind. I’ve been praying my operation scheduled for early March will restore some sight in one eye.
    I’ve learned to count my blessings, big or small, wherever I find them. Im blessed to be living in a most picturesque town in Australia. I have a lovely home and can manage on the fixed income from my aged pension. Im soooooo grateful for the free medical care my country has offered all who live or visit , since 1972. How about migrating to the land down under ?

    Question. I have bought watercolors before, and have recently bought poster paint for several pieces as I'm quite conservative in using acrylic at the moment in fear of running out of canvas. Since I've been watching the difference between watercolor, gouache, and poster paint, this still ponders me if poster paint counts on World Watercolor Month?

    • @InLiquidColor
      @InLiquidColor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure actually! I've not used poster paint outside of after school art education. It doesn't feel the same to me while working with it, but I'm not an expert!

    I love this painting and would be definitely interested in purchasing it. I have a niece and a "niece in law" (as I lovingly refer to her). I would love to give them a print of this. Be well & happy in spite of what seems like a barrage of bad news. I have shared that I need respites from this barrage. So, I set an intention each day to fill that well with positive things for my spirit so that I can be that better person.

    You said you have some diagnoses and i hope you dont mind me asking a question in regard to my own diagnoses; I have ptsd, add, chronic depression and maybe I am forgetting one lol... the 8th of this month they are gonne check weather i have fibromyalga. My own doctor said i have a high change of having fibro. What do you do to handle the pains? Do you have a diet? Do you excersise? I heard movement will help the muscles to hurt less and keep them flexibele. Or do you do anything else regarding the fibro?
    And ehm... sorry for asking, and please do not answer if you dont want to! How do you make your money to live with the conditions you live with. I dont work atm, if i work i can only work for max 3 days. But my husband works 40 hrs a week so he brings in the money. How do you do this?
    Thank you for your time and for your video! Big fan of your work and i love your knowledge of pigments. Btw, someone asked you wat your favorite painting was... the one i like most of you is the zebra in one of your sketchbooks!
    Lots of love, strenght and light!!! Xxx

      Hi Moadja, I cannot give medical advice of course, but I take a holistic approach to managing my pain, including proper breathing, mediation, qigong, gentle movement/exercise (it's not traditional exercise), and I personally have found both sugar and gluten inflammatory for myself. I don't eat gluten and I fail at staying away from sugar but I would feel better if I could. Regarding work, I had to leave my regular job and I do this now. I wouldn't recommend it for most people, but it's what I could manage and luckily it's worked out for me!

    As an local of Cincinnati and its Zoo I know that part of our zoo's getting the locals in on naming their animals is so that we continue to remember these animals and support them. Fiona has many reasons she went huge on the internet but also she is looking for a future mate! Zoos have to go outside their own zoos frequently so that there is no interbreeding and the species stays pure. I have been guilty of saying "I want one" all the while knowing it is an impossibility because they are wild animals. Long live accredited Zoos, were in Ohio are lucky, we have 2!

    • @InLiquidColor
      @InLiquidColor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great to hear from you. I'm glad they're doing public education about finding a mate for Fiona, but I'm not sure if most realize how deep it even goes! Most species with intentional breeding programs at AZA facilities have stud books and stud book keepers that keep insanely detailed records of every animal of the species in captivity in the country (genetics, where they reside, etc.). Some animals are moved to other zoos to breed as they are looking for a mate for Fiona, and sometime animals who are NOT eligible to be bred are even found specifically selected homes to make way for others that will breed to keep genetics strong. They really do their due diligence :)

    You said you get subluxations. That along with the FIBROMYALGIA......Have you seen a geneticist for EDS ? Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I have Lupus and for a while they suspected that with my and my son. He has more markers than I do. But I have subluxation my knees and hips and my son has dislocated his shoulders. But it’s mild. My lupus causes me the most pain. I’ve had 22+ surgeries because of it ❤️😞💔 anyways. Love you and your work. Get well soon.

    • @InLiquidColor
      @InLiquidColor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oof I hope you are feeling well today! I've had numerous people suggest EDS over the year but my former doctor wouldn't test for it because I didn't have enough of the hypermobility markers. I'll be more adamant here once I feel it's safe to get to the doctor - once Texas get's it crap together and I feel it's safe to leave the house!

    • @juupiissocool
      @juupiissocool 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@InLiquidColor what part of Texas?? I saw a geneticist out there and in California at UCLA. Be demanding. You're your own advocate. Drs don't care about how we feel anymore. They get paid regardless. I stopped letting them walk all over me years ago. Now when i ask for a test they just do it because 99% of the time I'm right 🤣 Now im having issues with ny foot. Eas sent to the emergency room from my primary doctor because she thought it was a blood clot. I told her I thought it was spurs. Its so swollen I can't bend it. No clots and I do have spurs 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣😅 so awaiting another surgery. Praying for you love.

    • @DarkWaterfall
      @DarkWaterfall 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can actually loose hyper mobility markers as the disease progresses. Most people with EDS develop osteoarthritis with the wear and tear from all the subluxations and dislocations over the years. I have EDS and when I was diagnosed I scored 8/9 over ten years ago. Now I think I’d only score a 5-6/9. Probably wouldn’t even “make the cut,” so to speak.

    You’re such a genuine and intelligent and calm and empathetic person. Started tearing up when you were talking about LGBT issues. Thank you for using your platform to discuss socially relevant and important topics.
    Many people are too scared to discuss controversial topics on their platform in fear of losing subscribers or causing a stir. But I’m sorry, there simply IS a right and a wrong here. If you don’t support LGBT equality or any type of equality for marginalized groups, that is wrong. That’s not a difference in opinion. That is simply wrong. *shrug*
