one simple trick to solve this launch problem they have, pump the brake a few times then hold it down hard, it works everytime, saw the guy in the r8 only press it down just before launching.

I personally don't care if they didn't lined up during the launch, what matters most is their ET and trap speeds, I mean, don't take it the wrong way, it is nice to have the two cars launching simultaneously but the ET and the traps will tell the tales. I think that to get the perfect launch it depends on a lot of factors and to just say what you did in terms of how long to hold down launch control is incorrect. It completely depends on what tires you are using and the track conditions. I hold down launch control and let my car build way more boost when launching with my drag radials then I do with my street tires. Not only that, if track prep is garbage I don't let it build as much boost and let off the brake earlier. Lastly, sometimes launch control doesn't engage the first time and it takes a second stab at the gas for it to work.

Track Rental ot not, it's an NHRA certified drag strip. If you want to go that quick, you need a 10 point certified roll cage. He had absolutely no additional safety done to that car.
@@GreenGenerationTV this R8 trapped 125, they usually trap higher. A simple e85 tune on a stock R8 makes good gains, imagine headers and basic bolt ons with that tune. Not taking anything away from the rs3

@@cornedenecker1636 the one cylinder had like 4.5 degrees and the rest were at zero. That's why we feared something was really wrong. There wasn't. For you, I'd look into your injectors if you only have significant timing pull on one cylinder.
@@cornedenecker1636 on pump gas you may see a few degrees in each cylinder being reduced depending on how aggressive the tune is and how shitty the pump gas is. On E85 tunes you really shouldn't be seeing any timing retardation if things are running right. 1 degree here and there but anything more than that I'd think something isn't right.
aside from the cost of these cars being different. To be fair when comparing cars when modified , were any of these R8's tuned, or have bolt on's and running E85?

Having owned both, at the end of the day if someone where to give me a stock R8 or a modified front wheel drive bias/transverse engine a3/s3 I mean rs3, I'd take the stock R8. Most may not know what goes into creating an R8 which I get. But the rs3 is a great plat form, stock on average they run 12.0 at 112mph and coming from that to where you are now is impressive. Curious what you'd run with full interior. Looking forward to your uploads, keep up the great work!
Could be carbon buildup too from e85, unless you’re running additives to help lubricate and keep cylinders cleaner, e85 will dirty them up faster causing knocking but I’m sure they’ve checked that already.
What do you mean by track official asking GT-R to slow down 6:30? This a race on a race track, I don't understand. It is like asking a cat to stop eating fish.
NHRA Certified drag strips have a VERY long list of safety rules and regulations you have to follow when racing. A couple of those rules are you have to have a parachute installed if you trap over 150mph. Another rule is if you run 9.99 or faster you need a roll cage. That GT-R has neither and was kicked off after his 2nd run.
When I raced my RS3 in 2020 and 2021 my Sport mode shifting didn't work properly. I had to shift the car manually. Others I'm sure do it just just to be a little more engaged in process.

That's because they are already fast from the factory. Then you drop another 100k into performance and they are scary fast. Just badass cars all around.
Yes GTR's are track Monsters. Have a look at some heavily tuned RS3's some have broken into the 8's as well. I believe Malaka and Iroz motorsports have done 8's
@@nomecaca The only one to have broken into the 8's on the 8V RS3 platform is Hank Iroz with an 8.85 @ 158mph. There are a few others with very low 9's which I'm sure will crack the 8's before the end of the season.

That R8 plus isn’t performing correctly. Either that or the wheels suspension and different wing is slowing it down as my stock R8 gets 10.6 10.7 consistently. Check my channel

Vancity Audi against the gtr he didn’t even hold launch basically was a rev and go no wonder it destroyed it. Hold launch on Let boost build up to full. Not activate full rev then go. Probably not even getting 3/4 boost.
@@terrymorrissey1251 hate to burst your knowledge bubble, but there is no boost to build on an R8 V10+. It is a naturally aspirated V10. Once you hit max revs on your launch control there is zero benefit to holding it down longer, unlike my car which is turbo charged. The longer I hold my launch control it allows boost to build for a harder launch.

Maybe just a faulty sensor or inconsistent low end voltage being delivered to the coil pack giving a weak spark at WOT.

Sadly no, we still haven't figured it out. I am sending the car regardless now, lol. My logs are still showing -3KR in cylinder 5.
