    There are a number of small tips and tricks that you can do that make a huge difference to your workflow in Revit. Whether it be speeding up your workflow, avoiding bad mistakes and habits or just modelling the proper way, these tips and tricks will improve your Revit skills and confidence.
    I’ve used Revit for 6 of my studio projects as well as 3 different internships. It has been interesting to see the differences between student and professional work. I’ve picked up over 20 tips and tricks to work like a pro that I wish I knew when first starting out in Revit.
    I’m a victim of it myself, I’ve practiced some bad habits in Revit that I didn’t even realise were bad practice. I remember, I was at work modelling a residential project when my boss asked why I was doing it the “hard way”. The hard way? I thought this was the only way!

    Revit is an essential tool for architects, designers and engineers. But a tool is only as good as its user! The full potential of Revit can only be unleashed when the user realises and understands the tool’s various functions and possibilities.
    In this video, “20 Revit Tips and Tricks for Beginners I Wish I Knew When I Started Revit”, you’ll learn 20 Revit tips and tricks for beginners to help you unleash Revit’s full potential.

    Graduate architecture student here!! Unfortunately for me, my professors did not introduce any BIM software to us when we were still at school. I am now struggling because firms are looking for apprentices with BIM skills and I just happened to find your channel! Ive got my hopes up now as I am learning a lot about using revit with your tutorials! Thank you so much!

    Can you do a similar beginner and intermediate course on Rhino, Grasshopper too. That would be really helpful. And Thank You for making these series on Revit for us. I am a 6th Sem B.Arch student, I had a tough time while learning Revit on my own but thanks to you, now I am confident on using Revit for my School Projects rather than using SketchUp.
    If possible please do one on rhino and Grasshopper too. ✌️

      I have a quick question. I created a shared parameters door tag for clear width. Now door mark tags no longer show up in that project. When placing a door it shows a “?”. Is there a way to make Tag by Placement Tool for door tags default to Mark or another specific parameter without going to the Type Selector? If this is too much of a hassle, no worries. Thanks again.

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cmpremlap Hey mate, should be an easy fix to revert the default tag back to how it was. With the "Tag by Category" tool selected, in the options bar (the ribbon below the main toolbar) you'll see a button that says "Tags...". Click that and you can change your door tag back to the previous family. Sounds like there is something wrong with the family you've created. I encourage you to check out these tutorials to help with creating door and window tags:
      1: a more basic approach: th-cam.com/video/PEOl2DeYzcI/w-d-xo.html

      Second that .The coordination and clash checking will be more complex with the consideration of work set .
      Using workset is more impactful when doing official submissions in the same team.
      Other than that, workset is rarely used
