    Hey Kyle, just want to say a massive thankyou! I've just been accepted (on a conditional offer) to the University of Sheffield to study Structural Engineering with Architecture, and this video is the perfect introduction to BIM software that I needed, so thankyou! I will certainly be binging the 6 hour course over the next few days!

    Hi Kyle! First of all, thanks! I want to be an architect too and all your videos and courses help me a lot. I think it will be very useful if you make a video about choosing a university for architecture. (Maybe you can host people who have studied at different universities.) Greetings from Turkey :D

    do you have a course on paneled buildings /walls like SIPS or can it be done with Revit

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be done in Revit by editing a walls type. You can assign a structure layer, as well as an interior and exterior layer, air gaps, membrane layers etc. Although the wall is modelled as a single object, it will have that information in it and will show those elements in your drawings

    Hi kyle, I'm fayez student of civil engineering in Kazakhstan and I want to say thanks for your affords in architectural revit, if it would be possible to make or introduce some courses for constuction students Revit course?

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Fayez, thanks for the kind words. I like to stray away from teaching things I am not a professional at, so I’m probably not the right person to teach construction in Revit. However, there is a massive overlap between the two and I’m sure you’d get a lot out of my videos and courses nonetheless. Thank you for the suggestion!

    Now that you have used Revit and Archicad, which software are you more happy with now?

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I struggled with ArchiCAD mainly because I was so accustomed to Revit. I prefer Revit but there are a lot of small things they need to fix but probably won't. If I was a Mac user I would probably stick with ArchiCAD, but as it was my first time using a Mac in over a decade it added to the learning curve.

    Hi Kyle, when I open a new document in Revit the Template does not have the metric - Architectural Template, my template says, "Architectural Template" and I do not have one in the template family. I also cannot change this in the project parameters, maybe because I have a Student Version?

    • @kylesinko
      @kylesinko  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Suaad, this is due to the package you downloaded with Revit. It doesn't matter that it's a student version. When you download Revit, you choose whether you have the Australian content, US content or so forth. The Metric architectural template comes with the Australian content and any other countries package that uses the metric system. You might have to download the libraries as well in order to install the templates
