I'm starting my first job out of uni next week and my supervisor suggested that i watch videos of revit beforehand since my university didn't have a class that utilized the software- this series makes learning about it much less daunting!
Thank you so much!! I studied Revit Architecture 2 years ago but I haven't practiced it since then. Your video helped me remember everything in a simplest way.
Great videos, really well presented and explained. I am making the transition from 20 years on AutoCAD and I am impressed with your professional and laid back approach. I will no doubt watch each video a number of times until I get the hang of it. Thank you.
@@CADinblack Very helpful. I have recommended that my daughter a 3rd architectural student refers to your Tutorials also as they use AutoCAD and Rhino at Uni, but as we all know, If your not using REVIT then students can get left behind when they get into the workplace. Thanks again.
thank you for your wonderful video! I am going to apply as a draftsman and they require knowledge with revit. Just by watching your video I feel like I'm already a pro huhuhuhu thanks a lot!
I am starting to learn revit now, and this was the first video I clicked on.. so informative, such good tutorial. Straight to the point and explanatory! Thank you.
Best tutorial I've seen for revit. I remember when it first came out and told my boss about it. I said this was the future of architecture and that Autodesk would buy them. I should have placed a bet on that. The practice I work for is only 4 people so we just use autocad but it seems that to get a job these days you have to be able to use revit. Sub'd
Hello Austin. Yes, that's true. In the narration there was actually a glitch (I meant to say 60 minutes). Then, the video has 20min of length because it was 1 of 3 parts of 20min. Finally, I was adding more parts to cover most of the concepts for beginners. But thanks for you comment, and I am glad it helped you!
At first I was so confused and lost with the commands since I'm trying to explore the software with you simultaneously but after listening thoroughly, it is so easy. This tutorial made revit more easy for me as I'm transitioning from AutoCAD and will touch this software for the very first time. Thank you so much!!! :D
Thank you so much for your video. Being used to autocad I was really scared to transition to revit, but you’ve made this transition really easy! Definitely subbed
Hello, may I say great job on the video, it has literally made Revit so much easier for me, thank you.🙏 Most other videos I've seen the people create a beginner video and run through it as if you already know what to do.
@@CADinblack will you be making more beginner tutorials? With your explanation methods, learning will be quick and swift. Also is there any other TH-camrs making beginner tutorials out there that you would recommend?
Thanks for these videos. Your thorough tutoring is helping me learn to use Revit for the first time. I have a question I wish you would help me with, please. I'm following your video step by step but I can't seem to find the types of walls you're using. I'm using Revit 2022 while you used 2020 and I can't find walls like "Basic Wall Generic - 300" and others. What I have is "Basic Wall - Fnd_300Con_Footing" etc. These walls look different and they seem to affect the outcome of the work. Is there a way that I'm supposed to change the types of walls I have? Or what could be done?
How do you know how many dislikes. TH-cam doesn't give me that info. I disliked the video because his tone of voice and delivery is far too childish for me to bear.
This was so useful! I don’t comment often, but I have to thank you for making these tutorials ! Hopefully it’ll get me a job as my university didn’t really teach us Revit ):
So Revit does have a solid model inside, like Solidworks has? I take it that is why you can see exterior views of the building and a floor plan in separate views. I take it that when you are creating the model, it is more like you are "building it" in the machine, rather than drawing lines and arcs.
Great videos, thank you for posting!! Just curious the wife and I were discussing your native language, if you don't mind me asking, what is it? (Which, I find you very easy to understand and your dialect very pleasing to listen to while learning!)

Very good. I am glad it helped you. Sometimes a review is enough to recover all our past knowledge!

Thanks a lot for your support Patrick. I also believe in some years almost every architecture will use this software.
Title: 60 minutes

In all seriousness this really helped! Haven’t used revit in probably 5 years, really helped
