I’ve just downloaded the iPad version of the Definitive Edition, as GTA 3 had the biggest impact on me as a videogame when I was a 12-year-old kid. So, I was looking up strategies for one of the missions and stumbled upon some speedrun videos. Then, I found an excellent run for the Definitive Edition and your world record. The strategies involving replays and rampages are insane, as is renaming the skin to a coordinate. I wonder if speedrunners look up the source code for possibilities.

So basically, in the pc ports of Gta 3, vice city and san andreas, replays basically record and re-enact your actions in the game. Basically bcs of some crazy early 2000s engine jank speedrunners can use em to do some crazy shit

yes they do look at the code. this is how gta sa is 10 minutes. vc any% 8 minutes and so on.
