Her confidence is everything! She still inspires me after all these years. Yes, the Dick Tracy movie is great too, one of her best, next to Evita and Desperately Seeking Susan.
I’ve followed on TH-cam dozens of reactors on Madonna, but I must say your approach, depth and focus is exceptional! This is the way to do a deep dive Madonna journey-no detours to other artists, in chronological order, and includes select films and interviews as well. This is how you see the evolution of her artistic genius/talents and her personal convictions/history that animates her. It’s worth going this way because she’s more than an entertainer. She has a lot of wisdom to share. Her activism and advocacy raises social awareness on critical/relevant issues in society. Her impact on pop music and culture has raised academic studies in universities, and dozens of books has been written about her including her amazing quotes over the decades. Early in this interview, there is mention of her song Act of Contrition-the B side of the Like A Prayer single, and the last track in the LAP album. It’s another artistic gem that showed how progressive and subversive her messaging is. It’s worth reacting to its audio version-it elicited a lot of interpretation and meaning and it featured her collaboration with Prince. Now, on with your journey! This is only getting more fascinating and a real joy to experience!
These two are so genuine in their reactions, their discussions, and I feel I am experiencing the videos with them. I always look forward to their new reactions. 🙂
Thank you - You're incredibly sweet! ❤️❤️ We absolutely love learning about the evolution of her music and the impact of her advocacy (and reading the beautiful stories that so many share in this space). ❤️
The coolest, most self assured and confident girl in the world. Up to this very day. She has been through this interview cycles many times that there is nothing that can phase her. She is such a pro and her personality is so charming and overpowering that I think anyone that interviews her must be nervous as all hell and tread lightly. She is always in control and won't let ppl get away with anything. She will call you out and put you in yr place. Dont fuck with the Queen. Great reaction as usual.j
Wow!!! Thank you so much for reacting to this, I love her dry humor and honesty in this interview. If you react to it, Kurt also does the Dinner with Madonna interview as well, also terrific and she is beautiful. It was so fun back in the day, that MTV would have these Madonna specials, where it would be a new interview or video premiere, and they’d make it a marathon, such an exciting time.❤😊
@@OurAnxiousReactions. MTV owes their success in the 80s and 90s to Madonna. It was Madonna who put MTV on the map after Madonna stunned the pop music world with her then unreleased Like A Virgin live performance to open the broadcast debut of MTV VMAs in 1984. She released most of her official music videos thru MTV, often performed live in their Awards shows, guested on interviews-which were all widely viewed due to her popularity in the US and globally. She dominated MTV programming so much during that time it became known as “Madonna TV”. She would win 20 MTV VMAs and was the first female pop music artist to be honored with the Video Vanguard Award in 1986. In 2003, MTV named her “The Greatest Music Video Star Ever”. Her other nicknames at that time were Queen of Videos, Queen of MTV.
I agree! I still always tell people that BA was the number 1 best tour I have ever witnessed. I have been to see hundreds of other artists, but nobody has ever impressed me as much as Madonna did on that tour. I'm about to go to my 8th Madonna tour in Jan. 😁
It's a pity that now we don't see rock stars like Madonna showing they have so much to offer in an interview. It's a good interview to learn more about what she was doing in that time. Loved your reation as always 🥰🥰🥰
Yes, you were right, Brenda. It was in fact Niki who was injured. Which is why (unlike Madonna and Donna) she was wearing flats throughout the entire show at that early stage of the tour. Loved your reaction and analysis, as always. 😉 And yes, Madonna is always in control of every interview. That is a very good observation.
Awesome! I haven’t seen this in years! And… how unexpected as well. Madonna gives incredible interviews. You are correct, she is very witty, and has quick responses. She’s also quite sharp tonged. There is an interview coming up with Jonathan Ross during the erotica era that I absolutely love. Keep it up ladies, your reviews are terrific. I loved everything you had to say about Truth or Dare, which I just watched. For those who don’t get, or understand what Madonna is about, they’re missing out. She really shows you who she is through interviews and her live performance, just hearing her music isn’t enough. Really enjoyed this, ty. Love your polar bears Emily! Have a lovely day. I am in Toronto… Where it is snowing! ❄️
Aww, thank you so much! ❤️❤️ We're so happy you enjoyed it. Hope you're staying cozy and warm (It gets a little chilly in Toronto!). Have a great evening! ❤️
Thanks ladies! i forgot about this interview, but it took me back to that day like I was 25 all over again. Yes, you are so right.... new day, new subject, but it's fear, always.
I just love your reactions so much. I want to thank you for giving us a very friendly and kind approach to everything. In a world filled with negativity and hostility, I just think your reactions and conversations are like a breath of fresh air. Hope you two are doing great, and just keep reacting 😊
Wow, you ladies are really churning out the great reactions...obviously excited to see what comes next! Her interviews are always interesting. She and Kurt Loder had really good rapport. He was a bit straitlaced which was actually good for bringing out her playful side. I will say it can get verrrry interesting when she isnt quite as fond of the interviewer. Over the years, she was constantly asked the same type of questions, about mates, children, sexuality etc. It can be fun to watch an interviewer squirm when she replies with something like "what does it say about you that you would ask me a question like that?" 😂
40 years later and she's still fighting the same fights. Sexism, racism, and now ageism. Also, she had some of the best lines in her movies. Those were some of her very best. I quote her a lot. Lol. 😁
Watch the Nightline interview she did discussing and defending her banned from MTV video to "Justify My Love". She's like a battleship, firing back at each arrow slung at her. She smartly puts the subject to bed with all the silly hysteria.
Madonna's exceptionality is that she managed to stay within the system (who more than her?) but at the same time maintain the courage necessary to tell personal things. I want to believe what she says about Pepsi's reaction. She behaved like a free woman. It is logical that she then understood the impact she could have and from that moment Madonna began her personal challenge with the world. I think the flame inside her hasn't gone out. It won't go out
I loved your message! I totally agree with you and personally I can see and feel Madonna’s personal commitment to change the world and make it a better place to live in! Madonna has saved my life, believe me! I love her so much and she’s my inspiration to be a better person, a better version of myself every day ❤
She was so ahead of her time with this concert! The bar was set so high that only she can bring it higher. She always says that she’s the manager of talents and to put them together to create magic.
Madonna must be such a night owl. To give this interview after soundchecking, getting ready for the show, playing the concert and then partying in her hotel well past midnight and actually giving thoughtful, intelligent answers. Superhuman? haha
Great to see This Interview after so many years. Till death do us apart is a sing you must react to its great And about her break up marriage. Please don’t miss to react to “ this used to be my playground “ and other hidden gems such as “love tried to welcome me” “nothing fails” or “ bad girl”
I love Dick Tracy! My mom took my sister and I to see it in the theater when I was in 5th grade. M’s character steals every scene she is in. You guys should watch Body Of Evidence because it’s hilarious kinda how Showgirls is hilarious. Also Dangerous Game. Madonna is at her best acting in Dangerous Game. Then you have to watch the brilliant Evita. Also when you get to it watch I’m Going To Tell You A Secret which is basically Truth Or Date part 2.
Madonna from the beginning was a master of manipulating whomever was interviewing her. The media and press are known to try to control their subject, but Madonna caught on, that she had to be in control. The interviewer may ask something that could throw her off, but she is a master in not giving up any information she wants to. Even when she first was interviews on Johnny Carson's TONIGHT SHOW, she was able to control how that inerview went. Johhny who is known for be cool and collective, Madonna was able to control how the inreveiew went. She is a master at how hse prefers to be presrented. These days, it's a bit harder because the media was a bit more reserved and careful in how they presented anyone. These days, the media is redy to exploit anyone. Back then, Madonna was able to conrol that aspect even though the media wasn't yet ready to take celebrities down or cancel them.
Wow, she could totally be talking about MAGA and the banning of books etc….we truly are, in some ways, going backwards. It’s scary how relevant this still is! Thanks for revisiting this important period of time! 💕
For all the flack Madonna got for her acting, because she was not as successful at it as in music, there are a handful of decent Madonna movies which actually did well at the Box Office as well. Desperately Seeking Susan from 1985, which you saw clips of in Into The Groove, Dick Tracy, A League Of Their Own alongside Tom Hanks and Gina Davis and obviously Evita which she won the Golden Globe for.
Her confidence is everything! She still inspires me after all these years. Yes, the Dick Tracy movie is great too, one of her best, next to Evita and Desperately Seeking Susan.
Don't forget Dangerous Game. 😁

@@OurAnxiousReactions -Yes, everything she did, especially in the 90’s was a real event, fun times. :)
@@OurAnxiousReactionsI used to get excited for Madonna weeks on MTV! I’d tape everything on vhs
Blond Ambition is still the best show on earth. I was so lucky to see it live in London, age 17. Best Saturday night of my life.
What a wonderful memory to have! ❤️❤️
