The previous interview they are referring to where she gives him panties was in 1994. It was a very controversial interview as she said f*ck 14 times making it the most censored episode in talk show history. Madonna was reportedly stoned for the interview and only went on to confront Letterman about the regular jokes he would make about her on his show. She also refused to leave at the end and demanded there be no commercials. It is very entertaining to watch and gave Letterman his highest ratings yet.
Please don't ever stop reacting to Madonna. I love your video's so much, always positive and profound. As a Madonna fan from the first hour, It's a joy to watch. From here on she will improve her guitar playing skills, as you already saw on the Celebration tour. So many things to look forward to. Can't wait!
When she sings unplugged like this it’s just so endearing. It’s almost as if we’re taken back to the beginning before all the fame and controversy. Madonna can literally do anything.
Don't ever tell me to stop...... it's a beautiful message .... This one is good and she's very cool. IN this period, we were impatient for the next world tour.... 8 years after the girlie show!!! Thank you Emily and Brenda, with kindness in this crazy world, your light is so good to look!!! Your little frenchy guy.
Oh I remember being bummed that I didn't get a ticket for Brixton Academy. Then I remember seeing the announcement for the DWT and just being desperate for the tickets to go on sale. Then when the tickets went on sale, even though she was doing two weeks of shows in the then biggest indoor UK venue. I managed to get tickets and had a ball!!! ❤❤
@@robertfraser9873 It was my first Tour.... I was a teenager for the blond ambition and girlie show... and couldn't go.... I was so happy when ibought my first ticket for the first night in Paris.... I was on 3 night.... It was magic, but I'll tell about it when our two favorites girls will react it very soon! With kindness, the little frenchy guy
Their interviews together are so iconic. Their banter is unparalleled. This performance really makes you feel like you're there. Her nervousness was so dang cute.
Letterman & Madonna were an iconic duo in their interviews. They were huge events with lots of viewers turning out late at night to watch. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane. Can't wait for the next songs off Music!
Amazing song! When she sings that last part "Don't ever tell me to stop" I get emotional, I'd love to still enjoying her art as long as I live, she means the world to me. Lovely reaction beautiful ladies. Kisses and hugs! Have a beautiful week!
Hi Both, I’m so glad you continue to enjoy the Madonna journey. I can’t wait for you to get to drowned world tour. Looking forward to your next reaction.
This 2000 appearance in Letterman is a complete turn around from her last one in 1994 where she fell for Letterman’s baits who goaded her about her Sex book and Erotica era exploits that resulted in a raunchy and sexually explicit exchange that drew criticism and bad publicity directed mostly at Madonna. She’s learned her lesson since then, this time she graciously parried Letterman’s tactics and turned the personal questions back to him. From hereon, they’ve earned each other’s respect, became friends, and her later appearances with Letterman were as enchanting and benignly hilarious. She’d also continue with her guitar playing on future tours beginning with her 2001 DWT. She would later in 2000 marry Guy Richie after giving birth to their son, Rocco. She eventually bought a country estate manor house and a Victorian pub in England. ❤your fascinating reaction and insight to this video.😊
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️ "From hereon, they’ve earned each other’s respect, became friends, and her later appearances with Letterman were as enchanting and benignly hilarious." Love that! ❤️ And she bought a pub!!! 🎉🍺
She really does get nervous before live performances, particularly in front of industry people, I think it’s an important part of being a performer…gives her that extra drive. Did you see her hand trembling when she sang Sooner or later at the Oscars….? it’s so clear how nervous she was! Great reaction to one of my favorite acoustic versions of Don’t tell me! Brava! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰👍🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️ "She really does get nervous before live performances, particularly in front of industry people, I think it’s an important part of being a performer…gives her that extra drive." Such a great point! ❤️
omg I'm surprised you haven't watched her 90s letterman interview! I know it'd be a throwback at this point in your journey but definitely worth it too.
We're going to go back and do deeper dives into the albums when we finish this singles journey, so we'll definitely react to more interviews then. ❤️❤️
I think Brenda and Emily should come to England and join their British friends in a traditional pub and have a few pints😁👍❤ We have some great ones in Liverpool. 🇬🇧
Yay, knew you’d both love it , like so many of us when we first watched this performance (and the funny interview😂) we were captivated by it , that gorgeous melodic tone Madonna has when she sings this . Love the reaction to this ❤
So glad you decided to review the interview and the song! So glad you enjoyed it. And now that you’ve put that out there Brenda, there is an occasion coming up where you can have a beer with Madonna in a pub. There’s a documentary called I’m Going To Tell You A Secret. You will be at a pub with Madonna. Surely everybody’s going to recommend watching this, because it’s awesome. The panties that Dave keeps beating her with are referring to the last time she was on the David Letterman show. It was one of Madonna’s more raunchy appearances it was during the erotica error, so she was actually in character. You might want to review that, or any other interview with David Letterman because their chemistry is hilarious. Strange that Dave said see you in another six years, because I believe it is actually six more years before she sits down with him. Hopefully you do other interviews with Madonna, I find them all to be a tour de force. She does not suffer fools. She’s a little too intelligent, and a little too witty. Most interviewers do not see that coming. My turn to put something out there… I want Madonna to be my therapist! 😆 Thank you for reviewing this, I loved it. Have a wonderful night. ♥️
Aww, thank you! ❤️❤️ We'll definitely have to watch that documentary - So wild that she's in a pub! What else can we put out there? 😂 Now we just have to make your wish to come true! 😉 Have a great evening. ❤️

As usual, your enthusiasm and joy is infectious. I love it ❤ this is such a good interview, really showing her sense of humour, which many interviewers don't manage (possibly they are intimidated , I dunno, she certainly doesn't suffer fools) her performance was great. I've mentioned before but you should try and watch/review the Tears of a Clown shows she did. They really are unique but I think you'd love /get them, she plays guitar throughout ❤
Aww, you're so kind - Thank you! ❤️❤️ We'll make sure the Tears of a Clown show is on the reaction list, so we can watch it when we get to that point - Can't wait to see another guitar performance! ❤️
I'm glad you enjoyed the interview and the performance. They do have a strange yet entertaining chemistry. Here it made for a fun interview. I love how she goes back at him and turns the questions around at him
Yes, that goes for me too. Suggest they react first to 2 remaining music videos from this album: What It Feels Like For A For Girl, and Paradise Not For Me. Then on to DWT. They can come back later to cover more interviews, docufilm and mini-promo concerts of this era-if they choose to do so.
Thank you ladies, for sharing this! I laughed out loud with you during that interview. The song brought tears. It was a lovely arrangement. Absolutely no Regrets!

Hello, Madonna and Dave did an interview in 1994 that caused a lot of scandal Madonna ended up in all the newspapers and news for saying 13 a bad word and for giving him a pair of briefs. She went there because the conductor always made fun of her and she went to settle the score, but it didn't go well for her because people didn't like the provocation she implemented. The following year they showed up arm in arm at MTV where Madonna promised him that he would never say any more bad words

The uncensored 94 interview was funny .. she was dating 2pac at the time.. and 87 she was on with her friend sandra bernhard.. she was great on Arsenio w Rosie..
I never liked Dave. He obviously had a thing for Madonna and acted like an immature teenager almost everytime she was on. The way a lot of the interviewers acted back in the day was so cringe. I think they started to respect her more around this era though. On another note, my long time fantasy has been for her to do an acoustic tour, where she just sits on a stool and sings her ballads. Her voice just calms me and makes me happy. Also, I totally agree with you both. Another one of my long-time fantasies has been just to sit and have a long, intellectual conversation with her about absolutely everything.

"...my long time fantasy has been for her to do an acoustic tour, where she just sits on a stool and sings her ballads. Her voice just calms me and makes me happy. Let's will it into existence! ❤️❤️🍺
What song is the band playing at the beginning, and Madonna says she wrote that song?? I can't make out which one it is
It's a little song she wrote that (according to other commenters here) is called Cook and F**K. 😂
Can only imagine the lyrics of that one! ❤️❤️
