My heart is heavy for all of you at St. Helena. I just recently found Father Mark and can’t tell you how much he has affected me just in this short time and through a phone screen. He is truly a servant a God. The urgency in his preaching shows his compassion and concern for all his brothers and sisters in Christ. It is now our time to pick up our crosses and carry on his mission in spreading the Word of God and living for HIM. May God have mercy on Father Mark and may perpetual light shine upon him. 🙏🏻

So many people found him after his passing. I’m listening to his homilies and it is teaching me a lot. I believe his real work has just begun. Fr Beard, pray for us! He is Mary’s faithful son, I’m sure she and Jesus were with Fr Beard at the hour of his death and he is in God’s eternal rest. Keep praying for his soul as he asked us to do.

I am not tired of hearing this. Thank you to your priests and parish. This is my 3rd to listen and maybe more when I needed this good shepherd’s lessons through the unique life of Fr. Mark Beard. I am from Maryland, just found Fr. Beard’s homilies I thought by God’s intervention. I do not know him except by he touched me by his great preaching. I can truly learn a lot from him even beyond this time. I started a 9- day novena for a departed soul since his funeral day. And will continue to pray for him on a regular basis. I miss him and I feel the family and parish’s sorrow like I’m one of your parish family. I cannot believe he is not here anymore, I am so saddened by this. God bless bless all of you. Let’s follow his teachings, as he followed Christ also.

What a wonderful farewell to His Brother priest. I am deeply sorry 😢for all of you who knew him personally and his family. This is a great loss. I have learned so much from his videos. I know he sees the face of Jesus whom he served and loved. May all of you grieving his loss, find peace in the days ahead.

I spent my adult life in New Orleans but live in Alabama now, so I know how great the priests are in Louisiana. I truly believe people all over the United States and perhaps even abroad are seeing these stories and testimonies. I find myself mourning Fr. Beard and praying to him often for so many intentions and loved ones. Like St. Therese, I am sure he is doing great work for us from heaven or as Fr. Jay says from Heaven's Hospital, and, of course, I pray for him too. I wondered if his parents were still alive. His father, Chief, sounds like a great guy. He must have needed company. My love and prayers for his mom and his brother and his family. Amite you were so blessed to have him.

Bought the gospels to life in a meaningful way .
I only knew him via the internet, listening to his amazing sermons. I loved him. I pray for his soul though I think he likely was escorted right into to Heaven - but since we do love him, we ought not neglect to pray. I pray daily for Priests in purgatory because I fear so many are forgotten by those who loved them thinking 'oh they went right to heaven' how my heart breaks at that possibility. So please keep him and all priests who have passed on ahead of us, in your prayers as well as those living and still serving .I thank God for Fr. Mark Beard.

Like many others, I'm finding out about Fr Beard after his passing & I'm deeply saddened by it. 😢
We're now blessed to get to know him, to love him & be able to learn from his homilies. I've shared a few already & pray that it'll bring back others who've fallen away.
If every priest had Fr Beard's zeal & on fire homilies, we'd be in a much better place. ✝️
For the short amount of time I got to know him, he seemed like an incredible person, an amazing priest & a comedian (we need this now & then living in such a challenging time).
I think they needed Fr Beard more in paradise to help us out here.

My daughter and I attended Father Beard’s retreat July 21 - 22 on the Liturgy of the Mass at Our Lady of Hope and absolutely hung on his every word and soaked it up like a sponge. What a blessing to us!! When we learned of his death that short time later, my daughter said, “Mom, now we know what the apostles felt after Christ’s crucifixion.”
@@dyrahughes1464 thanks for sharing. You both were blessed to attend Fr Beard's retreat not knowing that he'd be called home early. I too, would have soaked up all his words, if I was there.
I get emotional watching his homilies & know I'm blessed having to see him talk the truth. 😥
At the beginning of this yr, I started attending church again after my 24 hr shift stopped on Sun-Mon schedule being a caregiver.
Went back to attending TLM which I used to many yrs ago & was getting my spiritual life together. I prayed the rosary daily, but church wasn't in my prior schedule. The 45 min to an hr commute each way gave me time to do all 15 decades of rosary & this was most of my commute for many yrs.
Interestingly enough, I was in a car accident in April, but knew God gave me another opportunity to work on my spiritual life & it wasn't my time. Thank you, God!
Also, I've joined the rosary makers group at church & know that we need this arsenal now more than ever in the battle of the spiritual warfare all over the world.
As Fr Beard would say, "I digress." 🤔✝️🛐

Personally, im not really into Fathers and Reverends who speak loudly, or in a semi aggresive manner (positive aggressive, like hyper for lack of better words) because it can cause some new comers to feel as if we the parishoners and The Church are "pushin" it a bit.
But as a Catholic Man who has been gracefully reborn again, and onto my 2nd year of this everlasting journey, Fr.Beard's message really hit home and truly made me feel thankful and even reminded to keep improving myself, not in my eyes, but in the eyes of The Lord.
May the peace of the Lord be with your Spirit Fr.Beard, even if you were a bit hyper for my taste, you gave a pretty darn good serman, i just finished up with his video about his sermon with lukewarm Catholics, and it sucks that i found him a bit too late, it would have been incredible to meet you.
Saint Helena Church and parishoners, im sorry for the loss of your priest, I hope and pray that the next lucky priest who is welcomed into your church can continue to help us sinners.
