I went to Medjugorje with Fr Mark twice. The 1st time as a Protestant. I was lovingly called the token Baptist on this trip and was my first time exposed to daily mass and 100th anniversary of Fatima in Fatima. I brought my kids and my grandson to Medjugorje as a present with Fr Mark and a bunch of pilgrims. 2 of my adult children went their to disprove Catholicism and Medjugorje. Like Father Mark's own reversion story, by the end of the trip they decided to become Catholic.
But it was Father's Mark's presentation, explanations, and expansion of Catholicism that changed hearts and minds of so many. Over my short time since becoming Catholic I have spent hours with him on many projects or events. I miss him at his passing as a true friend and a friend in Christ. But his presence and his teachings remain here among us forever.
I am originally from Louisiana but now live in North Carolina. While I always go to my local Catholic Church, I still listened to his homilies on TH-cam. They spoke to my soul and helped me more than Fr Mark could have ever known. This is a true loss for all Catholics. Even those of us who don’t reside in Louisiana.

@@tony1685 [Edit by inserting date: 8-6-23] We don't ignore Exodus 20: 8-10, Ex 31: 16-18, and Deut 5:12. We did learn of Jews' observance of the Sabbath on Saturday resting from all work and emulating God's own rest on the 7th day of creation which we read about in Gen 2:1-3. This commandment was not abandoned by the RCC as some SDA's may claim.
Rather, the observance of the third commandment to keep holy the Sabbath was transferred to Sunday also known as the Lord's Day, which you can read about in Acts 20:7 "On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread (the Eucharist), Paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and he prolonged his speech until midnight" and also 1st Cor 16:2 "On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come." They gathered in assembly. Notice they did not gather on the seventh day but the first day, which is Sunday. So, we know it is thru Christ's resurrection that allow us to become a new creation, we read about that in 2nd Cor 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation".
We notice that in the Bible the early Christians did something different by abandoning of Judaism system of ritual animal sacrifices (you read about in Deut 12: 15-28 and 14: 3-21) and honoring the perfect and once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ, also known as the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world (John 1: 29-36). Circumcision, one other example we read about "eternal commandment" in Gen 17, was replaced by baptism, which we read about in Gal 3: 27-29, Gal 5:2, Acts 15, and Col 2: 11-12. These Old Covenant ordinances came in shadowy way and later were fulfilled by Christ, which we read about in Heb 8:5, Heb 10:1, and Matt 5:17-18. And we see St. Paul added about that by writing in Col 2: 16-17 and Gal 4: 9-11.
Even more interestingly, notice Matt 19: 16-22 tell us that Christ enumerated the Ten Commandments, except for observing the Sabbath when he was asked what one must do to be saved. Furthermore, the RCC has authority to do changes as long as they adhere with the Scripture (See Matt 18:18, Matt 28: 18-20, Matt 12: 8, Mark 2:27, Matt 10:40, Lk 10:16, Matt 16:19, and Matt 18:18-20).

See Luke 16:22; 23:43; 2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23. At the end of the world, your body will be resurrected and reunited to your soul just before the Last Judgement, in which everyone’s sins and virtues are made know to all.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church says: “In the presence of Christ, who is Truth itself, the truth of each man’s relationship with God will be laid bare. The Last Judgment will reveal even to its furthest consequences the good each person has done or failed to do during his earthly life . . .
The Last Judgment will come when Christ returns in glory. Only the Father knows the day and the hour; only he determines the moment of its coming. Then through his Son Jesus Christ he will pronounce the final word on all history. We shall know the ultimate meaning of the whole work of creation and of the entire economy of salvation and understand the marvelous ways by which his Providence led everything towards its final end. The Last Judgment will reveal that God’s justice triumphs over all the injustices committed by his creatures and that God’s love is stronger than death. (CCC 1039-1040)

I pray in thanksgiving for the precious months I knew of Fr. Mark Beard and his ministry. Of course, I planned on visiting his church "one day." Of course, I am so sad that I didn't act on that visit. Fr. Mark, you will be missed so much. I listened to your Sunday homilies every Monday morning. Thank you for me getting a chance to experience your reverence and gifts in my life.
He was and is a wonderful person to remember, and I am watching his sermons again, and I learn and hear so much from him. A man who was so good at what he did, bring people to Jesus! RIP Father Mark.

In just the few homilies I heard of his, it is obvious that he spoke straight from the heart. A person didn't have to guess what he was saying. Lord Jesus wash his soul with your precious blood, and make his soul, white a snow.

I remember when one of the priests from our area was killed in an accident on his way to Church on Sunday morning. Our Methodist Pastor was in tears as he told of Father Leopold's passing . We were all in shock he was a beloved priest and True Servant !
This is very strange timing. Will anyone investigate the real cause of his accident? I am praying that their was no foul play! You never know nowaddays...so many priests being cancelled for speaking truth!
Was he for the Latin Mass? And for tradition? If so get the incident fully investigated. I don't trust Rome at all at this point. I am a cradle Catholic by the way. Francis is doing away with a lot of good traditional priests, and replacing them with the LGBT community from what I'm hearing. Aka: James Martin!

When I was a kid we got a new young priest at our church. He got a motorcycle. His boss the pastor told him to get rid of it. He hid it at a friends home. He would take it on rides on the sly. He was kllld in an accident shortly afterwards

I listen to his last homily on TH-cam after listening to Fr. Alar on the Divine Mercy TH-cam video. Fr. Alar was so sad but wanted his viewers to hear Fr. Mark’s last homily which touched Fr. Alar deeply. I was also touched by Fr. Mark’s homily and pray that Fr. Mark was welcomed in heaven with God’s statement, “Welcome good and faithful servant.”

Life is so short
He is not suffering now he is in the arms of Jesus and Mary❤ we don't know the date or time we're going to die ❤I just lost my brother Jimmy 59 years old a doctor a gastroenterologist and never sick a day in his life kind loving man he was diagnosed with stage four bile duct cancer❤ he went home to heaven❤ I noticed lately a lot of people in their 50s and 60s are dying ❤God is taking them home we are the ones that are hurting ❤but they are praying for us from heaven ❤and we are praying for them blessings and love ❤❤father from Boston Massachusetts
He is not suffering ?!He is most likely in PURGATORY ! DONT make people believe hes not suffering and in no meed of prayers ! We must always say the truth about what our Holy church teaches because if people think everyone is in Heaven NO ONE WILL PRAY FOR THEM! And HOW LONG will they be suffering there all alone and forgotten ! When will they enter Paradise ! Are we so cruel as to forget the souls in Purgatory ?! I was reading about a Saint that had a vision of Purgatory and he saw a COUNTLESS AMOUNT of Priests and people praying so that WE here on earth will remember to pray for them !
