Didn't expect to cry, but Max talking about Yos belonging to his family is just something that absolutely makes me soft. It's hard to not be accepted by your own family, but a found family can be as important as a blood one. I wish you both endless amounts of happiness.

I feel bad for Yos that his family has not accepted who he is, but I feel more sorry for his family because of what they are missing out on due to stereotypes and cultural stigma. That they don't get to share in his love story, that they have distanced themselves from this sweet, gentle, loving soul is their loss. They are also missing out on this wonderful, caring man who has come into their sons life and cherishes him. That they just don't get what they are missing out on makes me sad.
That was the most authentic video I have seen in a long time. I really admire the two of you. Personally, I think that interracial relationships are beautiful and also important. So recently in Indonesia there was news that a soldier was arrested and higher authority removed his title of being a soldier. The reason was because he was a homosexual and because he had invited others to join in with him. Indonesia doesn't support homosexuals and my teacher said that they never will. It's sad. I'm not gay, nor lesbian, but I feel deep sorrow and pity for the homosexual here in Indonesia and actually all around the world. Sometimes I imagine myself in their situation, who they are risks their relationships, status, and they also risk being abandoned by family and friends. Sometimes I cry myself too sleep just thinking about it. It's unfair, but oh well, life is unfair.
IKRRRR, damn it was because of that religion :/. They hold on of patriarcy and homophobic moral values when this world is literally changing. And you know what worse? The fact they easily said they dont "support" our "behaviour". When literally what our "behaviour" is a human rights. After watching this marvelous video, I felt a kinship with the two of you. Though not the same my husband and my story is similar. We meet for the first time on November 6, 1968 and were married December 3,1968. (Two-4 weeks!!). This year will be 52 !! And we can definitely say “yes”, we still love each other!! His family welcomed me with open arms but my family-took @ 20 years before my mom even liked us both again!! (Father deceased when I was a teen). So no matter the problems thrown your way over the years, stay strong and continue to just love each other!! (And even at our ages [74 & 72] love making is still FUN!!!) stay safe and healthy!
