- After almost two years since its concept, we finally saw the production ready Volkswagen Taigun and got the opportunity to drive it in and around Udaipur. Since it shares its platform, engine and gearbox options with the Skoda Kushaq, we found them not very different from each other when it comes to performance. Just like the Kushaq, the Taigun too will get both the 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI engine options. Though we got the opportunity to drive only the 1.5L DSG and manual transmission options. We will however drive the 1.0L model very soon. As far as the launch is concerned, we expect it to happen sometime in September. Stay tuned to our channel for that video.

In last you suggest t roc over this .. I think overall it would be 4 lacs costly any other issue would I face in terms of servicing if opting for t roc.. pls advise

Hello.....Does Taigun or Kushaq has underbody clading for 1.5DSG ......one more thing, if not can it be installed from outside..... similarly not having insulation under front Bonet has any impact on cabin noise and can it also be done from outside?

Hi. Good review of Taigun GT manual transmission. I can relate to everything you said as i have the same type of car. However, as mentioned by you, I am not aware that this model has wireless charging and at the time of purchase i was specifically told that it doesnt. So, can you pls advise again whether it has or not? Accordingly i will pick a bone with the dealership. Thx

ICN is a very underrated youtube channel...
All great with few draw backs (both in Kausaq and Taigun)
1. Build quality is not as previous VW/Skoda breed.
2. Ac control should be physical as its more safer and practical while riding.
3. Body roll ( as compared to previous VW/Skoda SUVs).
4. Turning radius due to longer wheel base.
5. Interior quality level not up to the standard as VW/Skoda name brand.
6. Only C type port. Lack of usb/12volt port.
7. Excess use of crome.
8. Kausaq 2 spoke steering wheel (thanks to Taigun's 3 spoke steering wheel).
9. Small IRVM/ORVM. (even in my Skoda Rapid).

1 more, poor distribution of features between manual and automatic

Taigun comes with ESP, traction control, rollover protection, brake disc wiping, multi collision braking, advanced cornering control(low and
high speed), anti slip regulation, motor slip regulation as standard. Creta only has some and only offered in higher variants. So you know what to choose if you are looking for a safe car.
