For the person asking for percentages.. add the total volume which is 1480 in this recipe. Take the ingredient you want to get the percentage from add 2 zeros then divide by the total volume.
So if you want %of 292 water it would be 29200 ÷1480 = 19.72%.
Charles I’m sure this helps many people. Thank you I use a different method but this is easier.
Thank you Charles! You are a genius ❣️
Thank you
Thank you so much 🥰
Thank you very much Charles much appreciated .
Actually the easiest way to find percentages is to divide the part by the whole meaning if the whole is 1480 and the part is the ingredient amount you divide 292÷1480=19.73%
Kindly, write the names of the ingredients, it will more helpful.
Thanks for the video. I would be very happy if you wrote the content in the form of a list. My English is not very good. I want to make this product
You explained everything so well i loved it
Iiquid: 292g distilled water. 355g Glycerin. 292g Coco betaine.
Solids: 74g Stearic acid. 454g SCI. Preservative you have to calculate. She didn't say the kind or amount. Germal is a good preservative for this.
Hi….iv made the base…now I just need to know what to add to it to make a kids whipped rainbow soap….besides fragrance and micas that is! 🙏🏻😃
Thanks for this recipe greatly appreciated one question....in one place you have stated 335 g of glycerin and in another place you have stated 355 g of glycerin ....can you please confirm which amount should be correct
Where is the recipe? Did I overlook it?
It's literally in the video...
Hello from Greece! How long do we let the base mature before using it? I am waiting for an answer, thank you
As soon as it cools to room temp you can do as you like with this ;)
Can you make this in a magical butter machine?
Can you please make a list of the ingredients?
Hi, great video! What if you do not have enough SCI? Can you use a combination of SCI & SCS? Or, SCI, SCS, & SLSa? I've been doing research, but I'm having difficulty finding the right substitutions. I know I need to be aware of anionic v cationic, amphoteric surfactant combinations, but I need help with discerning them all! Thank you!!
Yes
Can you tell me what size bucket you filled with this recipe? I have a7 pound bucket and it gave me about 2 1/2 inches up
1 kg bucket is what I put it into
Ayudame con los ingredientes y las cantidades escritas por favor

Love this video. Can you please give percentage use of the ingredients since I would like to try in a 4oz batch first. Thanks
You are really awesome teacher. Thank you. God bless you.
Can we use as a base in whipped foaming bath butter?
Yes, definitely
What a fantastic video!!!! Thank you for gong over every single step and putting into terms we can all understand!
Glad it was helpful!
@@BodyHavenSoaps I finally tried the recipe! Its wonderful! I do have a question. What percentage of additives do you usually use? Also I noticed I had to add a substantial amount of sugar to the base and could have kept going. I used 500 grams of base and 650 grams of sugar and it still seemed a bit loose to me. Any suggestions would be awesome. I watched the video several times before I made it so I know I didn't miss a step or mis-measure. It feels great on the skin though!! I love your videos!
Do you have a video on how to make a scrub with this foaming bath butter ?
Yes I just done have a video of that up as yet
Merhaba. Altyazı seçeneklerine Türkçeyide eklersen mutlu olurum ben de yapmak istiyorum
Thanks so much for the tutorials will try it and let you know the outcome.
Have fun!
I’m sorry for your family tragedy:(
I have just found you love watching your videos I watched your shaving one this smorning but now I can't find it have you deleted it? Thanks
I made some bu beautiful sugar scrub using your recipe however I dropped the jar and it deflated what went wrong?
Would love a video on the different preservatives! Thank you!
Hello, can you suggest any changes when adding colors (mica) and fragrance or essential oils. Or sugar to exfoliate. To allow scrub to better hold it's shape once these items are added to recipe? Any recommendations?
Is this supposed to be hard like the Stevenson’s base ? I made it exactly like you but it’s soft when finished.
I've looked all over Google and can't find any answers anywhere. I'm in the middle of this recipe and this is twice I've made it. which is gorgeous BTW but and I had 105g of sci and was gonna add the rest from a new bag of what I thought was sci and after I added it was scs. I really wanna save my base. can anybody help me please? is there anything I can add?
THANK YOU
THIS IS THE ACTUAL RECIPE
Thank you for this video. I can’t wait to try it 🙌 do you add a preservative?
Hi never mind just saw you did add a preservative. Thank you 🙏🏼
Yes I do! 13 grams Optiphen Plus its towards the end of the video
I just made a batch of this and it is a amazing recipe! Very creamy and beautiful. Can you do a 50/50 with water and aloe Vera juice?
I am sure it would work that is a great idea !!!! pH of aloe vera juice is between 4.5 to 5.5 so the preservative should still work with that change only thing I would look for is stability of shelf life
And I am so glad you loved the recipe !!!
hi what is sci 454 gm you added i meam full form of it
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
I'm hearing impaired and could not hear or understand what you were saying. I wish you'd used a microphone. I say that with all due respect as apparently everyone else could hear you just fine. l Although I appreciate that you listed the measurements on the screen, it would have helped people with hearing disabilities if you had included (on the screen) what ingredients the measurements were for. Other than that, great video. :)
Not sure if the cc- closed captions will work. I don’t know how that works, maybe she would need to have a transcript uploaded.
Just double checked.... both Closed Caption and transcript are ON for anyone wondering.
292grams of what was that again. I couldn’t make that out
Omg I love your formula it was great 😊 thanks so much saves me so much time
Happy I can Help :)
hello where do you store this ?
What is the amount of glycerin which is in the recipe? When you were pouring you said 355 gr and later you said 333gr. I love this video.
Hi Catherine sorry for the delay in response unfortunately we have had a tragedy in the family and I was not available for the last few weeks
Sorry for miss speaking in the video it is 355 gr in this recipe
@@BodyHavenSoaps I am sooo sorry for your loss. Thank you for your time and videos..
Can Goats milk be added anywhere in this product?
Goats milk would be to much of a bacteria concern in this product
Thank you for sharing. I have just now subscribed to your channel. Love and greetings from Pretoria, South Africa🙂
When double boiling it never got to that clear-ish color. It stayed foamy. Why is that?
Might need to get it hotter but I have actually never had that happen before
Great video. Thanks.
Thank you so much for sharing. Very easy to follow xx
LOVELY 💖💖

Awesome video!! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!🤗 Where do you buy your ingredients from, if I may ask?
I buy most of my ingredients from Windy point soaps but also Voyager soaps and soap and more
@@BodyHavenSoaps Thanks so much!☺
Can this be cut in half? I found the answers in another comment. TY
yes absolutely
Ty so much for the very detailed description. Is it possible to maybe redo the video so we can see better? It’s very fussy and next to impossible to see much in the bowl. But again, thank you so much for sharing
Yes I am planing on remaking some videos I had done when I first started now that I have a better understand of editing :)
is there a substitute for sci powder? it is proven to be to difficult to get where i live.
You can use a different surfactant but I would make sure you do your research on the one you choose
I can not say end product results with a different surfactant you should do small test batch’s tell you have good results
If you don’t have a stick blender will a regular kitchen aid do??
I have never tried it so I am not sure
Thanks for recipe! Gonna try it right now!
Hello from Greece!!
How do we calculate and make a recipe for this whipped soap base ?
from soap calc? and how is it done?
Thank you!!!!
Whipped soap base does not use soap calc soap calc are for lye saponification formulas
I would answer you,it is not done soap calc but there is another way which is as follows..... to combose a whipped soap base
Can you replace SCI with SLSA?
these are very different surfactants and would not work the same
The bubble up is surely SLS, should be mentioned.
No not SLS
Cocamidapropyl Betaine is a mild, 100% coconut based surfactant. It has great foam stability and wetting properties
Thank you I will be trying and have subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
what temp does it have to be at ebfore u can add preservative and how much preservative its the only7 ingredient that you didnt say how much of
Hi Mary
the temperature and amount depends on the preservative you are using I would follow the recommendations for the preservative you purchased
Thank you so much for the recipe but when you were doing a glycerin on the screen you put 355 g but when you're talking it sounded like you said 335 I just want to make sure before I make it cuz that's a big difference thank you
For this recipe it is what’s on the screen but if you make it the other amour it still turns out perfect
355 g glycerin
thank u for this m gonna try it today.. just a question. how much preservative do we need to add?
13 grams of preservative
Thank you for the wonderful recipe!!!
Can you please tell me if I make this batch and I want to make a foaming sugar scrub how much sugar can I use ? Also thank you for this tutorial you are so easy to understand
use would use this just like a boughten whipped soap so amount of sugar will depend on consistency you are looking for
Hello what brand of the coco base is that where can i order it from?
Not sure what you mean by coco base?
Thank you
Could you add Aloe Vera to this? I'm going to make the shaving cream
I would add aloe Vera when I made this into my final formula as it will shorten shelf life of this recipe
Also how much did this batch make in Pounds?
I believe its 2 and a half pounds sorry I have lots all my notes in the flood / I will have to add it all together from the recipie
Love it
Thank You
At the five minute mark you say 355 grams oh glycerin, later you say 335…
yes my apologies I do it both ways depending on what I am making the base for but for basic recipe you can just use 335 grams
@@BodyHavenSoaps thanks for clarifying!! Hope you’re doing well after all your trials with the flooding. ♥️🙏🏻
Hi. I am trying to understand how to sanitize everything. Normally I boiled everything (containers and other stuffs like blender head) because I don’t know how to work with bleach. Can you kindly tell me how to use 5% bleach to sanitize please? I just got worried that i won’t do it properly and leave any bleach residues in the product. Huge thanks in advance. 🙏🏻
wash with soap and water then sanitize for 20 min in a bleach solution of 1 tabletop bleach to 1 gallon water , rinse with clean water and allow to air dry
hope this helps
@@BodyHavenSoaps rinse with water not distilled water? The. Air dry, correct?? Thank youuuu. 💓💓
Good afternoon! This is a great recipe!! You explain it so well. Thank you for sharing!! How much preservative do you add? Also do you have anymore recipes that I can use this soap base?
Hahahah I asked the same question again!! Sorry I have 4 children hopefully that explains it
No worries I will have more recipes in the future with this base :)
Just wondering if I could have the recipe, please
recipe is in the video for you , unfortunately i have lost all my paper copies in the flood so i do not have one on hand to send you
Watch the video she clearly tells you the recipe
Hello again. I forgot to ask you how do I store the batch please? I’m in Thailand. It’s hot and humid here. So far I keep mine in the fridge. Is it possible to make the base and keep it in the room temperature around 30 degree C ? Thank you!
I would keep it in a cooler place to extend shelf life
@@BodyHavenSoaps thank you!!
❤️👍👍👍
Do you happen to know if there are any alternatives to coco betaine? I know it's linked to irritation and allergies due to impurities found in most of it, so I'm on the fence about making whipped soap due to concerns of irritating my customer's skin.
Here is a few to look into
Coco-glucoside
Cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine
Disodium cocoamphodiacetate
@@BodyHavenSoaps your are awesome! Thank you 😊
Would you add the same amount of SCI powder as the noodles ?
yes same product just different form :)
Thank you
Is it 355g or 335g of glycerin?
Someone else asked this it’s 355g
You can uses either it only adds humectant to the formula and either one turns out fine
I use both of these depending on what I am using the base for
Very helpful. Will the powder weight the same grams
Glad you found it helpful
Yes I would use same weight
Thanks a bunch
No butter, no oil
that is added in in final product for shelf life and depending on what you want to make with this base
Thankyou so much for sharing I can't wait to make this.
You are so welcome! Let me know how it works out for you :)
@@BodyHavenSoaps hy please if you don't mind my asking can you list the ingredients you use because I couldn't hear all of your pronunciation. Thank you as you reply
I love it ❤
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💜
How much preservative was used?
13 grams
Hi April sorry for the delay in response unfortunately we have had a tragedy in the family and I was not available for the last few weeks
I used 13 gr germall plus in mine you can use other preservative of your choice but usage rate may change and you will have to calculate the proper amount according to suggested usage rate for preservative you want to use
@@BodyHavenSoaps Im so sorry for your families tragedy :-( I am truly grateful for the informative video you've been so gracious to provide us with. I pray that all is well and I wish you nothing but comfort for you and your family :-) thank you again.
Who did you learn this from?
Lot of research and testing recipes I started making this over 5 years ago and got information from may sites to figure it out
I do know there are many different ways to make this
@@BodyHavenSoaps Experience &Self Education is Priceless & more valuable!
Thank you, this was the most clear and organized tutorial I’ve seen for making whipped soap!
Glad it was helpful!
Hello, thank you for the video. Is it possible to get a list of ingredients as my english is no so good to understand all? Greetings from Poland :)
I will be redoing this video in the future
292 gr Distilled water
355 gr Glycerin
292 gr Cocamidopropyl betaine
74 gr Stearic acid
454 gr SCI (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate)
13 gr Preservative < 50C°
@@sonjavos5876 in the video she says 355 grams of Glycerine then later twice said 335 grams. Thank you for posting that you believe it's 355 grams .
What that surfactant cocomidopropyle betain or cocoa betain ? Pls explain
Those are the same thing babe, cocoa is just short for cocomidopropyle ❤
Thank you for sharing .
@@leilanyblock1772 actually they are not the same. You have to check the INCI name to ensure which you’re getting.
Bad video quality
Awesome. Thank you very much for showing us the process.
My pleasure!
Can you tell me where to buy SCI powder? Love this recipe
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, or SCI, is available at almost any soap supply store
I get mine from windy point soaps or voyager soaps
Can I half the recipe if i don't want to make a big batch? I want to try it out first before doing a big one. Thanks in advance
Yes absolutely you can half this recipe :)
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome 😊
what is the presevative and how mush of it thank ilike it
You can use any preservative of your choice and should use the manufactures recommended usage rate for all preservatives
Optifine, I believe it's 13 g. Someone should confirm I am correct here.
Wow. I wrote down 355 gr glycerin. Ruined the whole batch. You should edit video before posting
355 gr glycerin is fine I do both depending on what I am making the whipped soap for 333gr for body 355gr for face scrubs with same recipe
Glycerin attracts moisture as an additive but will not alter this recipe between the 22 gr will work out perfectly
@@BodyHavenSoaps yes. it came out fine. Thanks
@patrice You just said you ruined the batch using 355 g of glycerin.
Gee Patrice you should be thankful she shared this recipe since this is how she makes her living. She misspoke. Stop being so ignorant
