Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.
Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

Thank you for all the info, the surfactant mix is very useful. Let’s all pray for the fire victims everywhere . We have lots of fires burning in the PNW and the air is filled with ashes and the scent of smoke.❤️

I might have to try this. Thank you for this series. Still don't think the base stuff from stevenson's or where ever should be called soap, lol. I am stubborn that way. I pipe, but no tip. Easier for me to fill jars than scooping.
Bless you!! I bought some SCI noodles by mistake and have been trying to figure out what the heck to do with them. I want to make a bath souffle and need more foam than my scrubs give.
You can make shampoo bars out of the noodles and that will use up a lot of them and they are amazing

Yes I did the same thing but I only added sci noodles melted it down with paste then I add a tablespoon of coco betaine and made cream soap but it was so perfect for a shave soap my skin was so soft
Omg are your hands red from all thr washing and scrubbing?! Or from dye?
So, I’m sitting here watching this video thinking (and not listening very well at first) there is no way (in hell) I’m going to do this recipe because I am not buying any more additives...then I hear and remember I have the SCI and cocoB. I CAN do this!!!
Why do they have to mixed together the SCI and coco betaine? For example, wha would happen is only coco betaine was in absence of the SCI? I don’t know enough about surfactants. Trying to google too but hard to find
Use a ziplock bag and cut the corner off a little to use as a piping bag ☺️
Can we order bulk sugar scrubs? I don't really need a ton.. but I can gift the extra to family/friends because I get having to order in bulk batches because it's a specific scent..
I've only been making stuff for about 2 months. I've done this lots of times from fails or scraps. Not this recipe exactly. I added more oils and SLSa powder and fragrance. I don't sell anything. Just my own stuff and for friends.
