Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I just started using Creative Fabrica so I'm reading & re-reading everything so as not to get in any legal issues. My main issue is beingbable to take a downloaded image & uploading it to Stahls Transfer Express to make a screen print T-shirt for myself or family member. I'm I allowed to outsource my design I downloaded that I modified & Flatten

When in doubt about the usage rights, please kindly reach out to Creative Fabrica customer support because I can only share with you what I know and based on what I use Creative Fabrica for. That said, I'm pretty sure you'd need to modify the image by combining with other elements. Flattening is encouraged. If you are using for personal use, and not distributing the digital copies to anyone apart for the purpose of printing, it should be okay. But like I said, if you are still confused, please check directly with CF customer support. thanks!

Great video, at 23:40 you mention being able to use the background on a planner. I asked this question (although the reply was via their chat bot) to CF, could I use a background pattern with added text (book title for instance) and they said this was not allowed. If it was a child's book will illustrations within, then yes, as it is only part of overall design. For planner, notebook its a no. ???
You can mix and match with different graphics also other than just using a digital paper

Thank you for explaining this in detail.. I have CF and is the licensing the same for CF PLR digital product? Let's say I use a CF PLR digital planner, I must design it on my own with some changes or add clipart..and flatten it before selling on any platform?
I've not used any CF PLR product but yes you should be flattening your final product and sell it only to the end consumer. If in doubt, please reach out to Creative Fabrica customer support. I'm guessing the PLR template itself that you have gotten from CF should also come with a set of usage rights terms so you'd have to refer to that.
Thank you for the video. Problem with CF is that so many designers on CF claim their bundles include svg files but when you download them, there’s no svg file inside it. Just eps, dxf, png. Just very hard to find SVGs on CF
Sorry I don’t use SVG files so I don’t have experience with such issues. But if you have recurring issues you might want to reach out to CF customer support directly. :)
Okay so if I dowload a sticker bundle on creative fabrica and physically print, laminate and cut the stickers with my cricut and make and sell the stickers as a physical bundle, not a digital file it should be okay right? Im not selling them as digital files so i shouldnt be directly competing with orginal seller..❤ I love how you go over the licence some people just don't care
Having been an artist for almost fifty years, I know a little. I think the noncompetetion clause is related to the actual artwork, not the way the design is cut out or the materials used. So you might want to double check with CF on this. If you bought a full POD license, reread the terms to see if you can use it however you like. I would not want to tell you yes or no. I do know that original artwork is automatically copywrited to the artist who creates it, whether or not they register it with the office of copyright. If they can prove they are the original artist, they have full protection. Also, you can alter other people's original works, but be careful. Only if you create a whole new work that does not compete with the original work. That judgement is entirely subjective. It would come down to a judge and / or jury deciding if the work is altered enough, and it seems they tend to err on the side of the original artist. This is why CF says "substantial" changes. Ideally, a consumer would see the new artwork and not recognize it came from another work of art. Research famous cases of art appropriation to see more about this, but mostly, ask CF their take on it.

I want to use Canva to design a custom puzzle. I want to use textured backgrounds and graphics available in Canva. This custom puzzle will be used to make 40-60 puzzles for an event with our organization. Would this be allowed? We are not selling these.

Hi I still confused about the end of digital product, let’s say I’ve purchased one of the graphic from CF can I use and sale as a digital download product on Etsy ? ( after do some mixed and match in Canva )
Hi. As mentioned in the video, as long as your final product is not in competition with the original product OR your final product doesn't allow the user to extract the original graphic, it should be fine.

How do the digital planners work if we can't edit and sell a digital as a digital planner. I want to make sure I am clear with the rules.
What digital planners are you referring to?
Can i use the fonts in creative fabrica to create motivational quotes digital stickers and sell them? Is that legal?
Yes but I’d use the free fonts to do that. And if you want to find fancy fonts, you can download them from Creative Fabrica. I have a special offer for CF in the video description. And if you have canva pro, you can upload your own fonts there.

Hi! I also have an all access subscription to Creative Fabrica, and I have done some printables using some of their elements and mixed them with my own, adding fonts and a background. After submitting my work to the CF helpline to check that they comply with the licence, they say that they do not! They say you have to add a considerable amount of your own elements to make a unique design! It is all so confusing!
I am afraid it’s hard for me to comment on This because I did not see the actual work you sent in to CF. it depends on what your final product is and what elements you have used.
Look for the work of other CF creators who use CF elements in their products. It may be hard to find, but people do it. I have seen it before. Especially when I scroll down through their listings to older ones to get past any AI images. To avoid problems, I buy with a full pod license and do not subscribe.I shop the sales.

What about coloring pages? If I add texts within some of the floral or mandalas? I am selling it as coloring pages with affirmation texts.
You might want to check with Creative Fabrica customer support directly. If I were to create coloring pages, I'd use separate black and white graphic elements to piece together a unique coloring page instead of modifying from an existing coloring page.
There are 2 different license for pod, one is basic pod and the other is full pod the Basic you have too modify the graphic, with the full pod you dont have to modify it unless you cancel your subscription you can still continue to use the graphics but you have to modify it.. I was wondering if u might know is the full pod included in the all access subscription?
It's stated on the licensing page : "If you have a subscription on Creative Fabrica for Fonts, Graphics, Embroidery Designs and/or Crafts, all downloads are automatically covered under this license. Easy as that!". Then underneath it shows all of the various licensing agreements.

Am I allowed to change the color of my clipart I purchased on Creative Fabrica for commercial use?
Back to the two rules for using commercial use graphics. It’s not just about changing the color, more importantly, it’s how you use the clipart. :) I talk about licensing terms 16 minutes into the video.

Because of the Canva terms of use. Creative Fabrica's graphics come with clear commercial use license terms so you can safely use the graphics you find on CF to create digital products to sell

Hi I know everybody pushing creative fabrics but their not responding to my problem I've purchased the all access 2 times already and on my laptop on the creative fabrics page it has a big red banner saying my subscription is on hold it's been like 2 months I haven't gotten no responds I first did the free thing didn't use it cause I didn't know how I did download 3 things then I said I'll purchase the monthly one I payed for that $9.99 then I still couldn't use it couldn't download anything then then now this month August 2023 I made another payment of29.99 cause some places have different price but I assume it's $9.99 I just want to be able to use the app don't need no money back just fix my subscription I get no respond at all for the past 3 days I've been writing to them n nothing can you help 😮

What if I was to buy a digital planner can I sell that on Etsy ?
If you are buying a digital planner and selling it as a digital planner then no. Because your final product is in direct competition with the original one. I'd say no. But if you need further clarification. Please reach out to creative Fabrica's customer support.

I'm not sure which plan you purchased. It could be a different promotional offer so you'd have to refer to your member account for more information or please kindly seek help from Creative Fabrica support. I would check emails from them that you'd have received right after you first signed up.
Can i sell transfer cup wraps with their designs?
I don't sell POD products myself but technically speaking, yes you can. But you'd have to make changes to the SVG files before selling as POD products. Please refer to the license terms page. www.creativefabrica.com/subscription-license/

As mentioned in the video, you are not supposed to flatten the PDF file when you export from Canva. Flattening it will remove all hyperlinks. If you want to flatten clip art, you'd need to flatten the clip art separately, download them and then import into the digital planner creation.
