Loved this video, very helpful! Do you know if a monthly subscription is required in order to use the free downloads for future products? For example, if I download a freebie from Hungry Peg and then use it to create a digital art piece a month later, would I be allowed to sell that digital art piece under their complete license? *(given the fact that I only have a free account with them, not a subscription, and that the freebie already expired weeks ago). I tried reading through the license details, but I couldn't find anything about this.
@@gabrielalopezbarnum4656 hi! This depends on which website you're using and how you're purchasing it. If you purchase the commercial license outright, you don't need a monthly subscription!
The content of this video is EXCELLENT! I'm new to the printables world and I've been SO intimidated with the concept of commercial licenses. The legalese is sometimes difficult to understand with confidence, but your explanation provided much clarity. Thank you for this information and for inspiring me to begin!
Omg, now i understand. It felt like i'm so afraid to pursue graphic design and sell it via online 😢 because there're lots of policies that need to be followed but I hope it wouldn't be a barrier for me to become a graphic designer. I am your new subscriber btw miss, hopefully you'll be uploading some videos for us to learn more.
Though, this video has been recorded one year ago, but still valuable to us newbie on this print stuff. I have been seen this video all along, under "recommended for you" by TH-cam themselves. I just decided to watch it this morning, since Sandra is the maker. But reading through the comments of people, I found so much an eye opener into what people are facing in this Canva etc. licensing issue. Sandra, I appreciate your efforts without measure, keep it up, God bless you. 👏👏💞
thank you so much for your amazing work Sandra. I am completely new to this. I have set up Etsy shop thanks to you and even created my first listing with your tutorials. However after watching this video I had to deactive it as I checked all the fonts I used in it and they were for personal use only. Thank you again, something new learned today:)
I rarely comment on videos i watched online but i just want you to know that i really appreciate your content. I have been looking for guides on selling digital art and your channel has been the most helpful so far. Thank you and stay awesome. 😊❤️
Amazing content in this video! I've only just found your channel today but have already watched a couple of your videos and cannot wait to learn so much more from you! Thank you!
This is very helpful because I was a bit confused on that area but now I understand that it is better to reach out to the designer and ask for more questions. Thanks!
Wow amazing info. This is really important and surprising as I had no idea about most of this and how complicated it all is. You even need permission to use a font? That’s news. I thought once it’s on canva, you’re paying for the subscription so something like a font would just be included. That’s good to know now. Thanks Sandra. 👍
Hi Sandra! I'm just starting my digital product business and your channel have been a huge help. I just want to request you to remake this video (as many changes might have occur ) I'll be very thankful for it.
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS!! This is definitely a market I want to get in to and your advice has been amazing. Thank you for teaching us the ropes. I can't wait to purchase your guide to help me get started on the right path. You are incredible!
This was VERY helpful! I want to get started on creating/selling printables but needed more info on how to find commercial use graphics and fonts and how to use them legally. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! This video was way better than the video of a course I bought where they explain this same topic! Love the pace and how easy you explain everything.
@SandraDi Thank you so much for your valuable information its super helpful! I just want to know how to create those watercolor patch. Please help me with this
thank you so much very helpful tutorial, I am very new to the business, so I'm been reading and searching for information what to use, what not to use, that sometimes I feel very frustrate. But I'm so great full for all the help out there.
I love your videos! You are so helpful, and I don't have to watch for long to get the info I need! Thank you for taking the time to post and help others.
Thanks so much! I really love how you broke everything down and a simple way and the examples. One of the things that I've never been sure about, but never bothered to ask the artist..duh) are the free patterned graphics...If you want to use them for things like pillows, curtains, book covers, etc. how do we make these types of images unique if it's only a repeat pattern? I can see on a notebook just adding some text...is that even enough?
That's a GREAT question and the answer is: it depends! Every platform and artist is different and so are their rules. What I would do is create your design, screenshot it, and send it to the designer and ask. If they approve it, save that email to your computer. If not, I would recommend adding other graphics, maybe some words, maybe changing the color of the pattern, etc. to make it a little more unique
Thank you so much for explaining how it all works. I’m new to using Canva and I’m looking to use it for passive income. I’ve created a few items and I’m glad I saw this before I start putting it out there for everyone. Also thanks for sharing places I can get clip art from. Looking forward to watching more videos.
@@SandraDi I’ve been looking at the creative fabrica website. It says all of their freebies come with a commercial license. Do I have to have a paid subscription to creative fabrica to get the commercial license to the freebies?
@@alwayschill5 Hi! Yes you need a subscription if you accessing their freebies - your first month is only $1 :) However if you purchase any of their products, then you receive commercial license without a subscription. Hope that makes sense!
So here's where I am stuck. Why do they sell full art work galleries and Inc the licenses if you are not allowed to resell them as is? It says you can change the end product but most not compete with the orginal product? But surely selling digital art is always classed as competing? I'm going round in circles to try to understand. I completely understand canva, and I understand graphics on creative market, but I just cannot get my head around readily available artwork galleries on creative market. If I wanted to sell digital art on Etsy or elsewhere what would I need to do to the original artwork? Hope this makes sense
Thank you for your valuable information. Do you know if I would need to alter say a coloring book? If yes, how would I do that with say Mandala's? I wouldn't want to mess up the mandala art page.
This video is very in depth and exactly what I needed to feel more confident in creating a product! Thank you for the wonderful content it was very helpful💞 I had no idea about the fonts on Canva!
