Hi Faith, I am in awe of you! I had all but given up hope of finding a COMPLETE tutorial, from start to finish to exporting a digital planner; honestly there are a lot of tutorials and 'how to' videos out there but most were a waste of time and most never explained the full process because, lets face it .. we're not all computer whizzes. I have question or maybe I missed it. When downloaded it from canva and I sent it to a friend she said only page showed up but when I tested all hyperlinks worked what could have possibly have happened?
@@MrJmccullough72 I'm afraid it's hard for me to help you troubleshoot. But please make sure you don't flatten the PDF when downloading it. Make sure there are no elements on top of the hyperlinks. And I'd refresh the page and download again

I made myself a planner and followed you step by step-very easy to follow. I only have a problem with my hyperlinks. The home button and the tabs are not working in the adobe reader but in preview at canva, it works. My Index page hyperlinks are also working. I wonder where could have I gone wrong. I have made printable planner pages but i was wondering once you make the digital planner do you need to upload it in something like PDFEscape so you can make the areas writable or is that not something you have to do for a digital planner?
@@SusanHarleywolf Usually for digital planners, there's no need make the areas writable because the digital planner user will import the digital planner into an app like GoodNotes where they can then use the tablet stylus to write or just type in it with the existing features of the note-taking app.

So sorry for the late reply. I don’t have yet such a tutorial. But the techniques are still the same. The only difference is to place the binder rings in the middle and two pages at the side. But let me look into your suggestion!

It’s an undated monthly planner for you to write and fill up appointments etc.

Thank you for watching! What do you mean by linking multiple notes pages? You'd basically have to create a hyperlink for each page that you want to be linked to. So you'd need to create multiple tabs or make use of the index page to place all your hyperlinks there to help the user easily navigate from one section to another in the planner.

Hi, first of all , thanks for your detailed explaining, I just want to comment regarding using Canva elements, as a user of Canva pro, it is allowed to use any element/pic/backgroun....etc in Canva for commercial use as long as we modify it and use it in a product (digital product as planner, POD product ...etc). What is not allowed is to sell their pic/elements....etc as is which means re-sell it to another party, this is not allowed, but if we used it in something we design and create , yes we can.........

I love the way you explain it. I have a question how the end will use it. Once you download it into pdf file you can write on it even without adobe pro
You can download your planner as a PDF file and then import on note-taking apps like Goodnotes and any other app on your tablet that allows you to annotate on a PDF file. You can then use an Apple pencil for the iPad or a stylus to write on the digital planner or create textoxes on the spaces in the planner to type in. If you want to create a fillable PDF planner, then you'd need to use external platforms like PDFescape.com to add fillable fields in your PDF planner.
This is great , can you do a video on how to create a planner that opens like a book 📖 with double pages side by side vs a one page planner per turn
Thank you for your suggestion. I'll work on that. But meanwhile, the steps would actually be the same. Just place the binder ring in the middle and two pages on the side. The tips and tricks on design and hyperlinking would still apply. =)

I learned a lot as I went step by step with this video. At one point you spoke about adding other pages or stickers in - could you point me to where I could learn to put stickers or other pages in? I did one planner that follows step by step and another where I made a few extra pages I would like to add for monthly tasks. thanks!

If you want to add pages, just create a new page and copy and paste in the elements you want there. Then make sure you check the hyperlinks because the page order will affect the hyperlinks.

Hi I absolutely love your tutorial. I’m currently creating one and its not letting me add anymore pages. Do you have any recommendations on what i should do or another app as all pages are hyperlinked together thankyou x
There seems to be a limit to the number of elements in one project. 1200 elements if I'm not wrong. For example if you have used many individual rings to create a binder ring and you duplicate that on every page, you'd end up with too many elements in your project. What you'd need to do is to save the entire binder ring as one PNG file and re-upload onto your project so that would count as one element. Also, if you are using stock images, the file size can be pretty large and it will also affect the project size. I'd suggest compressing the image size using squoosh.app before uploading the image onto Canva to use it. Hope this helps!
Hi! I'm trying to follow the steps step by step, but it seems that Canva can't handle the file's size. It crashes whenever I try to get past Day 7. I've tried different browsers, downloaded the desktop version, and even tried it on my phone, but it keeps crashing. I don't know if everyone is having this issue because it doesn't seem like it.
