In this video, we will see how to make PIR motion activated light.
Things required:-
1) PIR Motion Sensor Module
2) Resistor
220 ohm
3) Transistor
2N2222
4) Diode
1N4007
5) Relay 5v
6) Power Supply 5v dc
(USB Charger/Mobile Charger can be used as power supply)
7) AC Bulb Holder
8) H Type Screw Terminal Blocks (optional)

PIR Module Jumper Setting:-

H: Repeat Trigger Mode:- In this mode light will be continuously ON if there is motion and when there is no motion light will turn OFF after delay time.
For example; If the delay time is set to 10seconds then, Light will be continuously ON when motion is detected and when you leave the detection area the Light will turn OFF after 10 seconds.
L: Single Trigger Mode:- In this mode Light will turn ON when motion is detected and light will turn OFF after Delay time. Light will turn OFF after delay time even if you are present in the detection area and again after some time sensor module will start detecting any motion
Turn ON the circuit, wait for 30 to 60 seconds now sensor will start detecting any motion in its range and act according to the mode selected. [This module will only detect motion done by any warm body such as human or animals]
Mode can be selected by adjusting the Jumper,, how??-- pull out the jumper, you will see three pins now put back the jumper to the H side or L side leaving one of the pin blank.
Sensitivity Adjust:- we can adjust the sensitivity or detection range of the sensor by adjusting the preset @ 0:21 . The detection range can be adjusted between 3 meters to 7 meters.
Delay time adjust:- when you leave the detection area Light will turn OFF after some delay; this delay time can be adjusted by rotating(clockwise or anticlockwise) the preset @ 0:22 .
This delay time can be adjusted between 5second to 300seconds.
Both the preset can be adjusted by slowly rotating it clockwise or anticlockwise; You can use a small screwdriver to rotate these presets.

How many watts was your bulb?

I followed everything exactly but the bulb turns on as soon as switch on the power and stays on like a normal bulb, I had tested the motion sensor before using it, can't understand the problem, can someone please help? My 5v power supply provides about 5.8 v maximum, is this too much for the 5v navinex company relay?

Do you have a video (or can do one) that details how to wire this with a plug socket instead of the light? I want to DIY a motion sensor that I can plug lights into (regular light bulbs like the ones shown in this video). I need to power a bunch of lights not just one bulb so want to plug a power bar into the motion detector. I can't seem to find anything. Your video is the closest I have come so I now know how to wire the PIR but I'm not sure how to wire up the plug socket portion of it.

I need to make this device for intrusion detection in farms, for the case I need it to cover a longer range. Is there any PIR sensor which comes with longer range? Or any way by which I can extent the range to atleast 30metres?

I built the similar circuit but used a different transistor and a different resistor. The circuit works but response time is too slow. What can be the possible problem? us it due to the transistor and resistance or my sensor is faulty? Can u plz help.

I don't know the internal diagram of relay used but according to me he is connecting the nc and common of relay instead of the coil of relay so how will relay work

PIR sensor will only sense motion done by any warm bodies, such as Human or Animals.

use N/C pin of relay in place of N/O pin.
in the video you can see one of the relay pin is left blank, that pin is N/C pin of relay and the brown wire( 4:31 ) is connected to N/O pin of the relay. So, you just need to connect that brown wire to the N/C pin. .Thanks
