If you open that white cover on PIR sensor you can see a connection point marked RL, You can solder a LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) on that to sense motion only at night time.
Hello. This worked great for the LED strip on the stairs. I've had someone message me so they can do the same so thanks for the video and responses. Currently I use a smart plug to tell the strip to only come on at night but if you were to add a light sensor and get rid of the smart plug, how would you wire it?

What about the transistor and diode value? Will it be the same... Thank you for the quick reply. Im not from electronic background so can you please tell me
How to connect a 12V LED strip light directly to the sensor without using any resistor or transistor or a relay. The LED strip light will be powered by 12V 5A driver. The setup will be mounted underneath the kitchen platform. The LED strip light should turn ON when the drawer is opened.

Hello I'm not getting anything from the led strip. It's only 3 leds but is a 1a supply too low? The relay is rated at 10a. Does the negative of the 12v supply go to gnd on the PIR? I'm basically trying to do your setup but without an additional 5v for the PIR but it's throwing me off completely.
@@ElectroRetro hello. Brilliant there is life. There's a clicksound when the motion detector activates. I think it's the relay. Is this normal? Thanks for the help so far BTW, I was ready to give up.

where did you plug the 12V input LED wire
Thanks good video. Could I hook this up to a 12v horn for an alarm instead of the light ? Would I need anything bigger like the diode or transistor ?
Yes you can, Input voltage for pir is +5V for typical applications. Can range from 4.5V- 12V

hello sir did u connect the brown and the red wire to another battery of 5 volts
Yes
thank u sir for the very quick reply i will go for it

I have relay modules instead of the stand alone relay. Can I make this work?
Yes
Can i use this for tubelight?
Yes
@@ElectroRetro hi, if i want to keep the light always on then can i add an on/off switch as well?
You can use a two way switch.
Can this be used for a 5v led strip?
Yes

Red is positive 5v and brown is negative
Is the transistor PNP or NPN?
Npn
there is no compulsion like where we need to connect the anode and the cathode of the 1n4007 diode to the relay right ???????????
Diode cathode should be connected to positive.

Is it safe to use the diode and bc547 with ordinary 220 volt ? Please answer quickly I am doing it right now
Bc547 and pir sensor must be powered with 5v. You can connect 220v to the relay contact pins.

Just replace relay with a led. And make sure to add a resistor
Hello. I'm using a 12v led with 12v relay. How do I attach the positive and negative 12v to both the led strip and pir sensor? Thanks

Check the voltage on relay coil pins.
