Thank you for covering bo1 and bo3 as well as explaining every card/new card additions! as a newer player i find that you explaining what to look for in the opening hand and the general gameplan for every deck extremely helpful
Great recap, very helpful when explaining matchups and starting hands, it's so hard to find deck and matchup guides. Hope to see explorer and historic too!
Glad it was helpful! I have my hands full with Standard and Limited. Maybe one day I can do a Explorer or Historic recap but I haven't played them in months
yes it hurts to play the black land, because if you have them in the opening hand, therefore depend on playing them, it hints the turn3 kill to the opponent. otherwise they have no reason to think you run burn together. the times callous saves the match if cast as a creature is so low, only out of uttermost desperation can make the unavoidable death a bit prolonged... altho saying that from a perspective that ive never crafted the hasteprowess drawmouse, always just played w dread and plus3dreadmanifest and the utterly useless disguise drawgoblin before swithced to jacemill uw control instead... maybe my time comes again...
Cutting monstrous rage is crazy. If a deck wants to go so creature heavy in the mice range with little interaction I would almost add white for Mabel and get the Cragflame equipment as another way to not only pump but trample and vigilance. Mabel does so much if you have to go more midrange. Also there is the mouse swordsman with offspring that really helps if you are just constantly getting 1 for 1 with removal. I think there is alot of missed synergy with not just going mice at a certain point, evern cavern of souls and not having to worry about swiftspear with it
It depends how much single point interaction you're experiencing I suppose. If you go to cast Monstrous Rage and over 50% of the time it results in your opponent getting a 2 for 1, the card starts to look less appealing. Now if your opponent just removes your creature at sorcery speed, it looks better. So it definitely depends on where you are in the ladder and what match ups you're experiencing. Personally, my most common match ups have been Mono-Black or Mono-Red so I can get behind the decision. If I'm on the draw against the mirror I'd rather have Shock over the Monstrous Rage, for example. As always, pros/cons to all decisions
Any thoughts on why WG Rabbits doesn't seem to convert to Bo3 at all? Interesting that it's so high up in Bo1 but almost no presence in Bo3. Is opponents sideboarding in sweepers too big of a problem for the deck?
@Arstall I do wonder if there's any build potential for Bo3, but probably you start getting to the point where you might as well be playing something else that's more streamlined. I think there's some room for WG Stompy on the back of Wilt Leaf Liege and Burrowguard Mentor could make an appearance there. I just really like the rabbits but I prefer Bo3.
Hey are you running mono red goblins right now? Because I think I just played you and damn was it close. I'm UncleNoodles and I was running mono white control. No reason you'd remember me but my opponent was Arstall and I was like hey is that the dude I watch every week on youtube? I'm a bit starstruck. I have a screenshot don't seem to be able to share it here though.
We saw Orzhov Auras explored for a bit but it proved to be worse than Boros, Azorius, and Selesnya. As far as fitting into the Mono-Black Midrange shell, cards with 1CCC, like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, needs 21 sources of black to play 90% of the time on turn 4. 2CC, like Sheoldred, needs 16. So getting the mana base to work can be tricky. Also, Sheltered by Ghosts has been better on turn 2, specifically on a creature that gets bigger over time which is lacking in Black. I think it has a nice home in the Orzhov Bats strategy though and did a gameplay video of it th-cam.com/video/T7TO99LO1mc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7cbr8BXFWjkE9HOr

Great content. It never bothers me when you ramble on. I'm here for all the mtg takes I can get.
Glad to hear the dude abides haha

Thoroughly enjoyable and informative run through the current meta, always worth watching and well presented, thank you for your hard work
Thanks for the nice comment :)

The mono red deck is brutal to play against
Definitely demands that you run ample removal
Subscribed to see you play rabbits, because I seem to lose to everything with that deck!
It has some tough match ups especially Mono-Red and Boros Auras
Any thoughts on why WG Rabbits doesn't seem to convert to Bo3 at all? Interesting that it's so high up in Bo1 but almost no presence in Bo3. Is opponents sideboarding in sweepers too big of a problem for the deck?
Yep. It's too easy to sideboard against

Glad to hear it and welcome back!
Great video as always!
Thanks! I appreciate the comment as always :)
you doing great dude, thanks for your recaps, I enjoy it a lot
Glad to hear it! I always start to get nervous when the meta hasn't shifted dramatically that it is too much repetition so I appreciate the comment
Im new and found your channel. God sent
Welcome aboard! Don't hesitate if you have any questions I'll be happy to help

@Arstall I got mana screwed on the second one and hey it's your channel you make sure you look good. Eggs by the way.
@@JamesLee-mp8hk I got mana screwed on the first one so it all works out haha ggs
Has Sheltered by Ghosts been tried with the black creatures? Sheoldred, Aclazotz, Slasher, etc.
