    Next week: early Nic Cage sins & early 2000's horror sins.
    Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we count next?

    There used to be a similar sign in the on board toilets in British trains, there may still be in fact, because they basically dumped their contents onto the tracks. Presumably the set designers decided that starships of this era, instead of recycling their waste, just eject it into space. You could have added about fifty more sins for every scene with the rocket boots alone. Zipping past the deck levels in random and repeating order. Kirk and bones taking their hands and feet off Spock and somehow not falling. Whoever designed them to speed downward after turning upside-down, but then somehow still keeping Spock in the air before he turns right-side-up again. The fact that they don't have a medium setting -- just low enough to hold one but not two people, and high enough to shoot three people in the air at high speed.

    • @ShawnRavenfire
      @ShawnRavenfire ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Additional sin for the Star Trek's consistent inconsistency as to how long it takes to get to and from the center of the galaxy.
      Another sin for Bones re-using the same "I'll end up talking to myself" joke from The Corbomite Maneuver.
      Another sin for re-using the plot device of "man was not meant for paradise" that was a running theme in several original series episodes. However, one additional sin off for Kirk's "I need my pain" speech. That is iconic.

      And the best scene was the moment of Spock's birth where the dad was disappointed that he looked more human than Vulcan. Fun video on a slapstick, not-so-fun film. Thanks. :) Once thing, though. At about 17:04 you mention that Spock would not remember his birth. That is true for humans, but not necessarily for Vulcans. I think it was in the novelization of TWK where Saavik tells David that Vulcans do remember their birth experience. So, if the writers are drawing on that (at best beta-canon) factoid, then Spock recalling his birth is plausible. Alternatively, Spock's experience could be deeply buried in his subconscious and Sybok merely draws it up to the conscious realm, in which case this scene is Spock's first conscious recalling of his birth (note how he says, "I believe we are witnessing..." not "we are witnessing...").
