Tip: I use a mesh lingerie washing bag to run my bike bags through the washing machine. Works well and protects Velcro and other bits from running the washing machine or damaging other stuff in the load.

Thanks! I've almost ordered one of these a half a dozen times. I think I'm ready to pull the trigger now.
Maybe some washers on either side of the bolt would spread the load on the fabric.
